Lot 457

An Eastern fringed rug with centre rectangular panel, with three motifs and with multiple line border, principal colours beige, blue and orange. 98 cm x 155 cm. CONDITION REPORT: This rug is not in good condition, with losses to the edges of the carpet and to the ends where the fringes have been lost over time. There are small areas of wear throughout so the weave has thinned in places, there is much ingrained dirt and it would need a good clean, so repairs would be needed.

Lot 466

A fine hand knotted Persian Kashan carpet. 402 cm x 292 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: This rug has no tears or holes, it does have areas of wear, these are not all encompassing, they are few and far between but there is a significant one which is 1 cm wide and 5 cm long and sits at the top edge of this rug. There are also areas of wear to the edge on all sides and the ends where occasionally the rug is frayed. In terms of general condition it is good and structurally all there with good colour. It needs a clean and possibly a number of very small repairs.

I believe you should have a carpet for the bed room and a rug for the living room…..Take it easy about fixing up the apt., now that you have where to put the furniture you can take your time.
