Beautifully built, very well-specified, AMG-dusted, muscle-bound small estate in excellent condition. The C55 signified a return to AMG’s V8 roots, after barely a three-year flirtation with a supercharged V6 Powered by the AMG 5.4-litre V8 (from the CLK 55 AMG) and offering 367bhp, 376lb/ft of torque, 0-60 in 4.9 seconds and 155mphThere was a limited UK-market for a small estate with 5.4-litres and consequently these are very rare over hereOn offer here is a high-specification right-hand drive Black Edition, imported from Japan and UK-registered on 01/09/2022It's finished in Diamond Black with a black leather interior and a black carpet setThe car, although a Japanese import, does have a full history to back up the 48,500 miles travelled and also a bill from M-B Nottingham Specialists for just shy of £6,000 in July of this year, including a full service, air-conditioning service, new coil packs, fuel pump SAM unit and a gearbox serviceThe C55 marked a small but perceptible shift towards a sharper, more sporting focus, that set it closer to the M3 than any previous AMG hot rod C-Class, making this dual-purpose medium-sized estate a bit of a 'supercar'. A PAIR OF ANTIQUE KASHAN PICTORIAL RUGS woven in colours with floral filled vases within garden settings featuring fish ponds, deer, flowers and birds, on cream grounds, within conforming floral borders, each 220cm x 135cm (2)Provenance: Private collection, Dorset.Note: Kashan, in the northern part of Isfahan province, Iran, was a centre of silk production since Safavid times. At the end of the nineteenth century the Persian Kashan weavers began to produce high quality rugs and carpets, as part of the ‘revival’ in the Persian handmade carpet craft, which re-established the high standards of design and technique established in the 17th century classical era. They often incorporate medallion designs, but all over repeat patterns are frequently seen. Pictorial rugs of varying subject matter also feature highly in their design repertoire. The colour palette can be deep and rich in the classical tradition, with shades of red and blue predominant with ivory detailing. Softer colour hues appropriate and in tune with modern décor styles are also prevalent.
