It bears some minor wear consistent with age and use, but generally maintains good pile overall. Longest edges with some undulation and wear to the binding. Some sections have been re-bound in slightly varying colours of thread. Tasselled end with the expected wear and fraying. Some of the tassels have become unwound. The to the other end of the carpet with heavier wear. The fringing is worn short and this wear has encroached into the guard stripe slightly in places.
