A Sarouk Feraghan carpet, the madder field decorated profusely with polychrome floral branches, centred by a sectional medallion and cornered by conforming spandrels, within a navy border and multiple guard stripes, approximately 390 x 310cmCondition Report: Wear overall, revealing underlying weft in areas. Some patches of additional wear with one resulting in a small hole. Small stitched repair to one border. Longest edges have been re-bound but are untidy. They have wear, losses and undulation. Fringing has been lost at both ends. The ends have moved into the guard stripes. Later thread and fabric strips to the underside have been used to tidy up the ends. Binding of longest edges are slightly untidy with wear, undulation and sections re-bound. Fringing with wear and some losses. Three pairs of cushions, of recent manufacture but some incorporating antique tapestry elements, comprising one pair with panels including birds, 42 x 35cm, one oval pair with central garland of flowers, 59 x 48cm, and a pair in Chinese style, together with an Italian cotton carpet, recently manufactured by Society, approximately 245 x 175cm Condition Report: Cushions:The antique fragments are a little worn and faded, commensurate with age, and there are some minor areas of tearing and stitch repair, though overall they are stable and later strengthened with new trims/backing etc.The contemporary pair of cushions has some looseness between trim and main bodies, with one section having detached.The modern cushions measure 55 x 35cmCondition Report Disclaimer
