A Kirman prayer rug, South East Persia, second half 20th Century, the cream field with interlacing flowering vines, framed by a plum red flowering leafy plant border with cobalt blue guard stripes, 231cm x 141cm CONDITION REPORT: Overall good condition with full pile. One end with partially worn fringe. Selvedges and end good. Minor - apparently old moth - damage to the reverse of the rug to the outer edges only. No sign of moth damage, staining or wear to piled face of carpet. Small orange stain to end end to the fringe only. Slight darkening of field (old stain cleaned) to lower left of field. No visible signs of restoration. The rug is supple and no signs of cracking.

Ends good. Pile overall low but with some area of wear and lower pile as pictured. Scattered light spotting more visible to the ivory field. All over in good used condition.
