[1] A page from “Outing” magazine, showing an early dirigible, below which is a quote from Thomas Edison on the subject of Airships, “Bah! Balloons!”. GC, but a grease spot is at the bottom of the page. [2] A print of young lady, sitting on a flying carpet, wearing a wisp of smoke, while around her other flying machines can be seen against the night sky. Title at the bottom reads “Let’s go to America”. [3] An unused menu card, decorated on the left side with an colourful illustration of the French Dirigible “Le Patrie” passing over a military review on 14 July 1906. At the bottom of the menu is an advert for Benedictine Liqueur, and the description of the event. Menu shows some foxing. A Tabriz carpet, the rectangular panel with central shaped medallion amidst an all over design of floral scrolls, animals and birds on a pale blue ground with red spandrels with bird decoration with broad and narrow panelled borders, bearing script, 317 cm x 223 cm CONDITION REPORTS General wear and dirt. Generally a good amount of pile, although there are numerous areas, particularly to edges and borders, where pile is missing (possibly moth damage) and these areas have been coloured-in.
