Terracotta field with dark brown triple pole stepped medallion; many geometric and floral filler ornaments; some animals including a Bactrian camel to the left side centre; pale yellow main border of archaic geometric motifs with inner 'C' ornaments; alternating with feathery angular leaf motifs in the main border of the long sides; dark blue striped and pale green ribbon guards. Lustrous wool where the pile is present; a lovely design in a soft and varied palette. In need of sympathetic restoration.
