A large Persian design rug, with centre rectangular panel with multiple line border, principle colours red, blue, green and beige. 389 cm x 290 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The rug is in generally fairly good condition. The colours are fairly strong and there is no evidence of any significant fading. The repeating running line borders are all in good condition all round. It looks as if the centre rectangular panel may well have been under a table and there is some wear down to the weave, particularly at one end where a chair may have been moved around. The wear is visible but the rug is still serviceable. If you look at photographs 3 & 5 you will see the carpet wear particularly in the red areas.
