A 1987 Range Rover VM diesel classic four door, registration number E330 VYD, green. This diesel Range Rover must be one of the only examples still being driven by its original owner from new, and garaged throughout that period at the owner's address in South Somerset. The car was purchased by the vendor's company as his personal transport and was maintained by the company until being transferred into his name on 30th June 1998. The Range Rover has been maintained by a local 4x4 specialist since new. The car was registered with a private number from 1998 until 2017 and that number is now retained on a retention certificate by the vendor, and its original registration of E330 VYD has been re-instated. In March 2005 a new old-stock VM diesel engine was discovered still boxed at Land Rover during stock taking and was purchased by the vendor to replace the original engine. The Range Rover has covered just over 42,000 miles since March 2005 when the new engine was fitted. Further noteworthy replacement parts include a new original starter motor at a cost of £740 on 10th February 2016. At that time, English Heritage stated that there were only three of the original starter motors still in stock. The original starter motor from this car is included. A front spoiler and air conditioning were fitted in 1995. The Range Rover is fitted with its original sunshine roof, a tow bar, velour interior, mats and carpet and with original Range Rover stereo radio with graphic equalizer. This well maintained classic Range Rover will be offered for auction with a substantial history file, containing receipts, brochures and previous MOTs. V5C, MOT to June 2018 See illustrations
A 1975 Alfa Romeo GT 1600 Junior, unregistered, blue. The Giorgetto Giugiaro for Bertone designed 105/115 series of cars have been admired and coverted by collectors and enthusiasts since their conception. The 1300cc variant was launched in 1965 with its larger 1600cc sibling becoming available from 1972 with 14,299 finding enthusiastic owners before the final car rolled off the production line in 1976. This GT 1600 was originally supplied to the dry climate of South Africa. It would remain there until approximately eighteen months ago when it was imported into the UK. Finished in light blue with a cream leatherette interior, the Alfa is said by the vendor to run and drive but will require further setting up of the carburettors to obtain maximum performance. Further works carried out by the vendor include the refurbishment of the steel wheels and fitting of new tyres and the purchase of a boot carpet set (£150). The vendor has ***HMRC (not NOVA) paperwork*** and has confirmed the build date of 15th January 1975 with Centro Documentazione Alfa Romeo. This very solid running and driving GT 1600 offers a straightforward rolling project for the next custodian and will be offered for auction with a set of period alloy wheels and the aforementioned paperwork.
