A Persian carpet, the central panel set with floral decorated medallion on a red floral decorated ground, within a stepped beige and teal scrolling foliate decorated border, approx 284 cm x 387 cm CONDITION REPORTS Whilst overall condition is basically sound i.e. no signs of large rips, tears, etc., there is much wear throughout, particularly to the red ground on the outskirts of the centre medallion to one side. A modern Japanese carpet decorated with vases and flowers to the centre, on a brown and cream lattice ground, within a slim scrolling foliate decorated border, approx 176 cm x 238 cm, together with a further Oriental carpet, the central panel set with censers and flower-filled vases on a red ground, within a stepped turquoise, mustard and black floral and Chinese motif decorated border, approx 142 cm x 271 cm CONDITION REPORTS Both carpets appear to be handmade, not machine made. The first, whilst basically sound, has a great deal of wear, particularly to the right hand side and in several patches elsewhere.
