2010 Audi R8 Spyder Quattro V10 Transmission: manualMileage:46200In 2006, Audi offered a new concept; a well-engineered, relatively practical, mid-engine, high performance sports coupé. Customers must have liked the idea, as the R8 is still in production 17-years later. With a choice of coupés and convertibles, V8 and V10 engines and manual and automatic gearboxes, the car, which was based on the platform of the Lamborghini Gallardo, has sold well across the globe. This example was registered new on 29th July 2010 and has covered circa 46,200 miles from new. Presented in metallic silver coachwork over a black leather interior the condition throughout is very good and looks superb with the top down. Offered with an extensive service history from new, the R8 is presented in a very high specification. Included is the desirable 6-speed manual with aluminium gear selector gate, Spyder electric folding Mohair hood and 19 inch, 10-spoke, Y-design alloy wheels and a Brooke racing exhaust. Needless to say, this superb looking example sounds fantastic when on song and runs and drives very well indeed. Offered with a very attractive estimate this is an opportunity not to be missed.

2004 Aston Martin Vanquish to S-Specification Transmission: automaticMileage:19700The Vanquish is widely accepted as being one of the most important cars developed by Aston Martin and heavily influenced the direction of the company's line-up of sports cars in recent times. So much so, in fact, that the Newport Pagnell factory underwent an extensive refurbishment to accommodate it, gaining a new assembly line, paint shop, rolling road and water test facility. The genius that is Ian Callum, who developed the DB7, then turned his attention on the new Vanquish using a bonded aluminium tub as the core as well as carbon fibre struts welded to the backbone. All new engine management systems were used with drive-by-wire throttle control and a six-speed manual gearbox with an electro-hydraulic change mechanism matched to a hugely powerful six litre, V12 powerplant. It was an instant success and was the obvious choice for the nation's favourite secret agent. Sadly, it was the last Aston Martin to be built at Newport Pagnell with all future cars moving to Gaydon and using more production line-based build systems. The near-perfect and bespoke example offered here today was ordered at the Park Lane showrooms of Aston Martin by a gentleman from Surrey and registered in March 2004. It was fully equipped with all the latest extras including Connolly leather and Wilton carpeting throughout costing the princely sum of £165,000. The car presents with a full service history with, notably, a new and uprated 'S' clutch fitted in 2013. The mileage at that time was 15,683 however, the vehicle had very little use since that time as it changed hands to the present owner in March 2014 with the mileage showing just 15,753. During the current ownership it has been looked after regardless of cost and always serviced by accredited Aston Martin specialists and with the full-service history maintained. The current mileage is still only 19,700 so, amazingly, this has been kept and maintained regardless of cost, and benefits from a full-service history with just two recorded owners. Additionally, we are led to believe that the first owner always kept the car garaged as part of his private collection as indeed has the current owner. A new set of tyres were fitted in April 2020 with such a low mileage, this represents a well-deserved place in the annals of Aston Martin history as not only one of the last cars ever to leave its spiritual home but uprated to S-Specification and kept in truly remarkable condition throughout.

The car then took part in numerous rallies such as the TR Register Pyrenees tour in 1995 and the Millennium Tour in 2000.In 2012, the car was completely stripped and painted by Bristol Classic & Sports Cars in Clevedon. Contained within the history file are approximately seven A4 size sheets of paper with 35 photographs per sheet recording the recommissioning in 2015, we believe this included twin choke Weber carburettors, servo brakes and electronic fuel pump before tuning on a rolling road. You will be pleased to know that the car comes with old logbooks, tax discs and the factory hardtop which was also restored in 2015.Looked after and cherished without regard to cost, this TR3A with overdrive performs amicably in rallies but would be equally at home on the road and the bills and invoices over the years add up to thousands and thousands. Supplied with a new tonneau cover along with the hardtop, this is a UK car with matching numbers and comes with a BMIH Trust Certificate.Interested parties should note that the hard top for this Lot requires new glass.

1971 Lotus Europa Twin Cam Transmission: manualMileage:76000The 1971 Lotus Europa Twin Cam is a classic icon that epitomises automotive engineering excellence of its time. With a mid-mounted 1.6 litre twin-cam engine, it delivered an impressive blend of power and agility. Its innovative fiberglass monocoque chassis contributed to its lightweight design and exceptional handling. The distinctive, low-profile body showcased a timeless aesthetic, marrying form and function. The Europa Twin Cam's impact reverberates through automotive history, leaving a lasting impression as a driver-focused sports car that pushed boundaries. Even today, its influence can be seen in the principles that underpin modern performance-oriented vehicles.Owned by the vendor since July 2019, this car has had £14,000 spent on refurbishments and improvements to make an excellent ready-to-drive, useable example, with a high degree of originality. A substantial folder of bills and photographs describe the car's history up to the present day. In addition to the V5C registration document in the vendor's name, there is a Lotus Classic Certificate of Vehicle Provenance, issued to David Golding Cars of Dublin, from December 2012 which confirms the VIN and engine number as original, and the car's delivery to Lotus dealer, Foley Park Motors of Kidderminster in November 1971. Tax discs from the 90's show the car spent time in the West Midlands before being exported to Dublin, returning to the UK around 2012. The Lotus certificate states the car's colour as Carnival Red. Extra options recorded were alloy Lotus wheels and air horns. In the history file there are several MoT test certificates dating back to 2012, showing the mileage figures and a Lotus Europa owner's handbook from 1971. All work since July 2019 is documented in bills from Lotus specialists, Rapid Mechanical Services (RMS) of Romford, with numerous older bills dating back to 2013. The car was resprayed to the original colour sometime in the 00's with photos of that work also contained in the history file. RMS were commissioned by the vendor to complete £14,000 of work which included reconditioning the original gearbox, starter motor, reconditioning the Dellorto carbs and refurbishing the original radiator, installing a new fan, thermos switch, coolant transfer pipes and alloy expansion bottle. Head and sump gaskets were fitted as was a rear main oil seal and water pump. In addition, the car benefitted from a new coil and HT leads, new adjustable suspension dampers and coil over springs, a modern alternator, new battery, battery isolator, electronic ignition and modern headlights. We are informed that the car drives really well as a result of this work. It is light and highly sensitive to driver input. The 650kg weight and twin overhead cam Lotus head and refurbed Dellorto carb's transform the Ford 1558cc engine's performance, while the new suspension units do the same for the handling. Not quite 'blistering' by today's standard, but surprisingly quick and precise. A unique driving experience. You have to get used to people taking photos/selfies and answering questions!

1929 MG PA to Q-Type Specification Transmission: manualMileage:2755The MG Q-Type is a racing car produced by MG in 1934. The chassis was based on the one used on the MG K3 but was narrower and used N-Type axles. The engine used the cylinder block from the P-Type but with a special crankshaft to bring the capacity down to 746cc by reducing the stroke. A high-pressure Zoller supercharger was fitted giving a boost to 2.5 atmospheres and allowing the engine to produce 113bhp at 7200rpm. A sprint version was also made with output increased to 146bhp which at nearly 200bhp per litre this figure was higher than any other racing engine in the world at that time and equated to over 200bhp per 1,000cc! To add stability at the inevitable high speeds, it was decided to increase the wheelbase and track on the basis that the extra power would more than compensate for the additional weight. The wheelbase was made the same as on the K3, and N-Type axles of 3' 9 track, with special 12 brake drums, were used.Regarded as the ultimate traditional overhead cam-engined MG Midget, it is thought only eight were made (Michael Sedgwick states nine) as the car was expensive at £550"“£650, and the rigid-axle chassis had difficulty in dealing with the power of the engine. In general layout the car followed the 1934 MG K3 very closely and inside elevation it is not easy to tell the two models apart. All eight Q-Types were originally fitted with very attractive open two-seat sports racing coachwork with a sloping, pointed tail and outside exhaust. The final track testing of the Q-Type was undertaken by Bill Everitt and on Whit Monday, 1934, he broke the Class H Brooklands Mountain lap record at 69.97mph, first time out. He then competed at a Donington Park race meeting, achieving a first place and two seconds. At Brooklands on August 1st, he broke the Standing Kilometer and Standing Mile records at 69.75 and 79.88mph respectively - this was a direct measure of the improvement of the Q-Type since these records were taken from E.R. Hall who had set them the previous year in an MG J4. In October 1934, Everitt raised the Mountain Lap record to 75.58mph in the Q-Type and the Standing Kilometer and Mile records to the remarkable figures of 75.42 and 85.59mph.The Q-Type bodied MG PA on offer today is presented in French Racing Blue and we ascertain from the large history file it was subject to a full photographic restoration in 2007. In stunning order and boasting the Volumex supercharger, during our vendors tenure the car has undergone significant expenditure to create what is a fabulous recreation of the Q-Type racer showing a body work akin to the days racing at Brooklands. This included the blower, the bespoke external handbrake, quick fill fuel caps , turned metal dash with dual chronograph clocks, Brooklands aero screens, aluminium foot plates and aluminium and rubber mats in the footwell. The bonnet straps and coachwork are as new likewise the trim sitting on wire wheels with bespoke tonneau and a fabulous fantail exhaust.Eligible we would believe for hill climbs and sprints, this would be a great drivers car and certainly one of the best looking examples in the paddock. Our vendor has moved abroad so can no longer enjoy thus viewing is strongly advised for a car that will be finding a new home. This is an exceedingly rare opportunity to purchase a stunning homage to one of the eight Q-Types and in fine condition. It is an extremely exciting road car as well as a competitive pre-war racing car.

2003 Bentley Azure Performance Final Series Transmission: automaticMileage:15400The Bentley Azure was launched in 1995 and was based on the platform of the Continental R which had been launched in 1991. The Azure intended to both convey a sense of presence and allow for comfortable seating of four adult passengers. Power came from the company's stalwart 6.75 litre, V8 featuring a single intercooled turbocharger. The gearbox was a General Motors sourced four-speed automatic unit with the Azure capable of 0-60mph in an impressive 6.1 seconds. Owing to the limited space at Bentley's Crewe factory, the Azure was designed and manufactured by Pininfarina, significantly adding to the vehicle's production cost. One of the rarest of Azure developments was the 'Final Series Performance' version, only 62 examples of which were completed towards the end of production during 2002/2003. The 'FSP' was based on the Bentley Azure Mulliner, which came with an engine up-rated to produce 420bhp, suitably stiffened suspension, and various other improvements. This series was commissioned as a tribute to the cars that had marked Bentley's release from Rolls-Royce's benefaction. This Bentley Azure Performance final series is one of 62 ever produced and one of just 15 cars in right hand drive. We are led to believe the car was previously owned by Mr. Duncan, the owner/founder of the 'Henry the hoover' one of which can be found in almost every office in the UK, who owned and cherished this very special Bentley for a decade with the car wore the number plate 'H5NRY' from 2016. Presented in Peacock Blue with a cream quilted leather and French navy blue secondary leather interior and blue roof. This is a lovely low mileage car showing just 15,400 miles since its date of first registration on 27th March 2003. Offered with 17 Main dealer services at HR Owen, the car has within the last 700 miles had over £10,000 lavished on it with service and preparation for sale.General characteristics on the final edition included Bentley-branded brake calipers, a turbo boost gauge on the facia (T series layout), chromed bezels a large red starter button, diamond quilted sports seats and door inserts, a choice of dark stained walnut or black lacquer furnishings and winged Bentley motifs on the waist rails. This is an iconic and rare final series, beautifully presented and very collectable example and viewing is highly recommended.

1999 Maserati Quattroporte IV Evoluzione (3.2 litre) Transmission: manualMileage:23342Maserati launched its first Quattroporte back in 1963 and has continued to make a version of this luxury four-door sports saloon ever since. The fourth-generation model came out in 1994 and was the first Maserati to be produced under new owners Fiat, who had bought this illustrious Italian marque from Alejandro de Tomaso in 1993. An evolution of the Biturbo platform, the Quattroporte IV was styled by Marcello Gandini (of Lamborghini Miura and Countach fame) and featured his signature slashed rear wheel arch design which had first been seen on the Countach and later on the Maserati Shamal. Initially powered by the 280bhp twin-turbo 24-valve 2.8 V6 from the Ghibli, the Quattroporte IV got the flagship Shamal engine in 1996, a 336bhp twin-turbo 3.2 V8 which gave it blistering performance, 0-60 in 5.8 seconds and a top speed of 168mph. A Getrag six-speed manual gearbox came as standard, but a more town-friendly ZF four-speed automatic was also available as an option. This excellent, rare right hand drive, 1999 Maserati Quattroporte IV has only covered 23,400 miles from new which is supported by comprehensive service history. Supplied new by Meridien Maserati in the New Forest, Hampshire to Mr. J Peters of St. Peters Port, Guernsey. In his ownership the car was looked after by Meridien Modena and Doyle Motors Guernsey. In 2015, the car was sold to Dr. D Mitchell and imported into the UK, for the three years that he kept the car it was maintained by Autoshield Maserati, Manchester. The next change of keeper came in 2017/18 when passed to Mr. P Winfield whose preferred repairer was McGrath Maserati. The last recorded service with the cambelts changed was with Autoshield at 23,176 miles in November 2021, this was done for the current owner who purchased the car in June 2021. Since that service the car has covered less than 200 miles. Finished in Netuno Blue metallic with Ivory leather interior, this excellent Maserati Quattroporte IV is supplied with an MoT test certificate which expires in August 2024, the handbook pack which contains the service record book and a file containing invoices from 2015 to the last service. The Quattroporte IV Evoluzione is regarded as the best Quattroporte produced as this was after Maserati was taken over by Ferrari.

1972 MGB GT Mk. II Transmission: automaticMileage:74276The MGB was a revelation to the British sports car industry moving away, as it did from body-on-frame models to a more modern monocoque system of construction. This resulted in welcome weight savings, reduced manufacturing costs and far better handling. The sporting coupé, designed by Pininfarina, was only offered in GT form after its sister 'roadster' variant launched 1962. Originally powered by a three-bearing crank engine, this was swiftly replaced by a five-bearing unit some two years into production. Swift performance figures, a sporting pedigree and refined styling lines. The interior was very roomy in fact with space allegedly for four and a large rear compartment, with if the rear seats were folded down, allowed for a very roomy luggage platform. The options list was equally interesting with a heater costing £14, overdrive at £60 and seatbelts at £3 each!Owned for the last 10 years by one man, an early full engine-out restoration took place under his guidance. The new red coachwork has clearly been very well restored and, at the same time, the engine and automatic gearbox was stripped down and rebuilt. The dashboard has been replaced with an upgraded burr-walnut unit which sets of the lustrous paintwork well. A Webasto sunshine roof has been fitted alongside a modern Blaupunkt stereo, both items combine to create a fun driving atmosphere".Interested parties should note that in March 2007 this car was subject to a category D insurance loss.
