AMENDED DESCRIPTION Full set of wartime deck plans for RMS Queen Mary, comprising 14 deck plans, each 2ft x 11ft and a scale of 1/8th inch to 1ft, the Sun Deck and Sports deck plan bearing the modificationstamp showing theAdmiralty mark to lower right, together with two discs of digitalised plans, and numerous personal archives. Provenance: the plans were acquired by the vendor in a car boot sale in 1996. They had come from a house repossession at Henley upon Thames belonging to Mr David Gough an Emeritus fellow of Oriel College Oxford who was executor for Miss K Rintoul, daughter of Colonel D Rintoul. The personal archives relate to Miss K Rintoul, her brother DrS Rintoul and Colonel D Rintoul.The vendor did extensive research and Liverpool Museum have verified them as a full set of deck plans. The Maritime Archives and Library, Liverpool, as stated in printed correspondence, hold the original builder's plans of the Queen Mary as part of the Cunard Ships Plans Collection and the collection contains several sets of QM deck plans, including original copies of the trooping conversion plans. The Queen Mary is currently berthed in Los Angeles. Over the years they have shown at Westminster Halls at the Annual Ocean Liner society's meet.

Marketed as a sports two-seater, as seen here, and a 2+2, the 280ZX proved to be a strong seller in the US market and while sales were good in Europe, very few survive in good condition. As restoration costs far outweigh resale values, good original cars like the one presented here are the desirable and intelligent choice.With its period style of silver over blue two-tone paint and glass sunroof, this Z car has patently been cherished all its life and wears its years very well, testament to its low mileage and careful ownership. Approximately 50 copies of the kit were produced between 1969 and 1977, a much smaller number than the original American Meyers Manx and its many imitators, such as the popular UK-made GP kit. Fitted with a tuned 1,500cc engine, this buggy is understood to have been built in 2006 by VW enthusiast husband and wife Tim and Helen Rowley. The VW engine is fitted with twin Weber downdraught carburettors and the interior sports Cobra vinyl trimmed reclining bucket seats and American Pro Comp instruments. Weather equipment includes a custom-made vinyl trimmed removable hardtop. After some time in storage, the buggy has been recommissioned, with a new VW fuel tank being fitted. This was a short-lived attempt to do for sports car racing what Formula Ford had done for single-seaters, Formula F100 was announced in the UK in 1969 but lasted for only a couple of seasons. F100 was conceived along similar lines to Formula Ford, lightly modified production engines and road tyres being mandatory, and was intended to replace the sometimes ill-supported sports-racing and GT events at club meetings.Believed to be one of five cars created, the example offered here is powered by a 2-litre Lotus-Ford twin cam motor, mated to a Hewland Mark 8 gearbox. Running twin 48mm Dellorto carburettors and dry sump lubrication with fully adjustable suspension, the car is running and driving but following some years of inactivity will need careful recommissioning and the safety equipment updating. Raced by David Beckett, it ran in the Spa Six Hours in 2001, 1990 FIA papers and a rolling road report from that year are also available. Introduced in 1926, the four-cylinder unit went on to power various Rileys, until 1957. The new for 1936 Kestrel 6-light sports saloon was offered with the 12/4 1,496cc Sprite engine giving 61bhp; sporting twin carburettors. Complementing this fine power unit is the ENV Wilson pre-selector four-speed gearbox and Girling mechanical rod-operated brakes with a patented operating mechanism. This six-light Kestrel was built on the 112.5' long-wheelbase chassis and was purchased by the vendor in 2016. He has since fitted the Kestrel with 16 inch wheels and radial tyres. The sprite engine has been replaced by a standard tune 12/4 engine, which is currently running without a waterpump.The Kestrel has an attractive body, thought to have been designed by Stanley Riley and built at the Riley works, finished in a lovely combination of red over grey. BL2162Odometer reading: 9,878 miles* Matching numbers car * Two private owners from new* Lotus Classic Certificate of Vehicle ProvenanceWhen the Lotus Seven was launched in 1957, designed by the legendary Colin Chapman, it was far ahead of any other sports racing cars of the era. The car was so right first time, it is still in production today, as the Caterham. It is the second most copied car on the planet. Lotus produced the classic Seven through until 1970, the Series 3 benefiting from a strengthened chassis, wider wheels and tyres, slightly wider and strengthened Ford Escort Mexico back axle, exterior fuel filler, and even a fuel guage!This Lotus is a genuine factory built Seven that was released from Lotus Components in Hethel on the 18th April 1969, and shipped to the Lotus distributor in Canada. The optional extras were stated to be mag/alloy wheels and a heater. It was part of the very last batch of approximately 70 LHD now classic Lotus 7s assembled by the factory. It was purchased by an enthusiast in Calgary, who had a small car collection, and used it mainly for the local car club events. The last recorded competition event was on the 11th September 1979, although it is said to have participated in hill climbs in the early 80s, after which the car was put in to dry storage.The Lotus changed hands for the first and only time in 2012 at 8238 miles, when the present owner shipped the car to Spain, via the UK. Whilst in the UK it was inspected by the Lotus Seven Registrar, who confirmed that it is a genuine, original Lotus. It still had the original tyres, so it was refitted with Pirelli Cinturatos, so that it could be driven safely, and pass the Spanish ITV. It had all of the original equipment, the hood and seat belts pretty much unused.The aluminium body bore the scars of a few competition mishaps, and after 42 years was too brittle to restore properly, the chassis had been oversprayed in silver with a rattle can, in an effort to enhance the appearance. It had also been modernised with Caterham wings and rear lights, which have now been replaced with the correct items.The chassis was sent to Xtra Special Sevens, checked to be rust free, and in perfect alignment. It was powder coated in Lotus grey, and a beautiful new aluminium skin hand formed around the chassis, by a skilled craftsman. Wherever possible the original parts and components were cosmetically restored, the bolts re plated/re chromed, the mag alloy wheels re finished to concours standard.When you sit in this car, you are sitting on the original seat fabric, holding the original Springall steering wheel, and looking at the original dashboard. Even the carpet over the transmission tunnel, is the original item. Compare the black and white picture of the engine bay taken from the Series 3 section of the Lotus Seven Register, with the colour picture, it is identical, right down to the Barnacle suction rear view mirror. Even the exhaust silencer and tail pipe were remanufactured to the original pattern and it has the correct Thorpe PT 675 brake/stop/side lights. It must surely be one of the most correct Lotus Seven Series 3s.The sidescreens are original, although the old opaque plastic windows have been replaced, and the hood, frame and fittings are totally original.This lightweight Lotus is powered by the original Ford Cortina GT crossflow engine, with the Weber 32 DFM twin choke downdraught carburettor. During the rebuild the ignition was upgraded to an electronic distributor head, which combined with a new coil gives a much improved and reliable spark.Whilst the chassis was being refinished, as a matter of house keeping, the gearbox was stripped and checked and rebuilt, and later the rear axle was also rebuilt with a new crown wheel and pinion, to the correct standard ratio of 3.77:1. The clutch plate was renewed whilst the engine and gearbox were out of the car. All of the serviceable bolts and fixings were retained, re plated and reused. The front brake calipers were serviced and replated, new discs and pads fitted, and the rear brakes received new cylinders and brake shoes. The brake and clutch master cylinders were also serviced.The front suspension components were media blasted and re finished in Lotus Grey, the cast components were ceramic coated to keep the surface good for many years. The Spax shock absorbers were repainted, and new logos applied. The 4 branch header and exhaust system were also ceramic coated in a period silver, for a durable and attractive finish.During the present owner's tenure, the Lotus twice entered the annual Classics and Legends event at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit in Valencia, and had an outing with the South of France Lotus Seven group, for a blast up Mont Ventoux. It also won a concours trophy immediately after restoration at the Marina Alta Classic Car Club. The really great news about a Lotus Seven as a classic car, is that although 50 years old, it keeps up with and will even out perform many modern cars, and has an aluminium body that will not rust. With the Caterham versions still in production today, outwardly unchanged, this car still looks perfectly at home on the roads of the 21st Century as it did in the 60s.. As an added bonus, it is a real head turner.During the research of the car's provenance, a gentleman from Calgary was in touch. In 1973 he actually viewed the car as a possible purchase. Sadly the car was well over his budget at the time, and he settled for a cheaper more used model, which he still owned at the time of the correspondence. Interestingly he was reunited with our car in 2012 as it was being prepared for shipping, and confirmed that it was the same car he viewed in '73. Originally introduced in 1948, the 356 had a 17 year production run with the 356C being the last revision before the introduction of the 911 in 1964. The 356C's performance was enhanced significantly when it was introduced in 1963, and was offered with disk brakes and dampened steering. These additions made the car much more responsive than the 356B, and arguably more enjoyable to drive. Other features that helped to distinguish the 356C from its A and B predecessors include revised bodywork (identified by dual air intakes on the engine lid), and larger front and rear windows. This example is a European specification car and was originally delivered new to Sonauto Porsche, France in 1963. The car was then imported to Lebanon in 2015 where the current owner acquired the car in 2019. The car has been maintained meticulously with Porsche parts and is very original and believed unrestored, yet also refreshed with some new parts. At the last count there were only 18 Murenas on the road in the UK, the majority of which are 1.6s, this example is the only one with this engine specification, having a 2.2 litre motor that has been tuned to give more power than the top of the range 'S' model.The engine was rebuilt by Roy Gillard of Redwood Repairs and consisted of a reground crankshaft, re-bored block, water pump reconditioned, cylinder head replaced, and a new camshaft especially made by Piper Cams. Invoice on file.The engine was converted to accept twin reconditioned 45mm Dellorto carburettors and was set up on a rolling road where it achieved 144 bhp. Putting all this power down is a new clutch on a lightened flywheel and a 10% higher top gear has been fitted. The car featured an additional chrome bar on the front fascia, updated interior, black steering wheel, plastic dash, plus reclining seats and carpets. This 1971 example is in excellent condition and has been previously restored. The car has plenty of receipts on file from a previous owner who undertook the restoration, with the bodywork and paint appointed by Weenie Fiats in the West Country. There are also receipts for a 650cc engine that was purchased in Italy, as well as receipts for Fiat 124 pistons that were fitted in 2010. The sump is also an Abarth replica, and the car has a sports exhaust. The car runs very well, and the little twin carb engine together with the sports exhaust add to the already enjoyable driving experience. The car was also photographed for a Christmas advertising campaign for Jo Malone perfumes, however it is not known whether the images were officially used in print. The car is well finished inside and out, and the paint and interior trim present particularly well. Overall the car is in excellent condition and would prove to be a very enjoyable classic runabout. 1960 Triumph TR3ARegistration no. 52 VVTChassis no. Originally developed from the TR2, the TR3 provides an enjoyable drive from its hearty engine and refined chassis. Essentially a facelift of the standard TR3, the TR3A offered a new wider front grille, exterior door handles, a lockable boot, and full tool kit. The new look gave the car a wider stance and much more grown up look. This 1960 example is a UK right-hand drive car, so is one of the few 1,286 UK cars built. A full restoration of the car was carried out in 2010 by TR specialists, so the car presents very well. The car is finished in this stunning Wedgwood blue colour scheme with the dark blue leather interior. The side screens, tonneau, hood cover are also new and in superb condition. The engine and gearbox were rebuilt in the restoration with the cylinder head converted to unleaded, adding an element of usability. Other enhancements include a new rack and pinion steering system, servo disc brakes, alternator, overdrive, electronic ignition, Kenlowe electric fan and bluetooth audio with aux. The car also has a good history file including all the handbooks. The car runs and drives very well and feels very tight, with the additional upgrades adding to the driving enjoyment and usability. Additional refinements appropriate for the company's top-of-the-range luxury saloon included an improved steering mechanism and remote electrical control of the rear suspension ride height. Initially developing 115bhp (DIN), the 3.0-litre, overhead-camshaft six-cylinder engine was increased in power for succeeding models. Other improvements included larger brakes (with servo-assistance from 1954); optional power steering; and three-speed automatic transmission as standard on the 300d. Custom built by Mercedes-Benz's most experienced craftsmen, the conservatively styled 300 was luxuriously appointed and trimmed with materials of the highest quality. Fast and elegant, it was one of very few contemporary vehicles capable of carrying six passengers in comfort at sustained high speeds. It was the car of choice among West German government officials, and throughout Europe and the USA was widely favoured by businessmen, financiers, and politicians. Indeed, 'Adenauer' became the 300 saloon/limousine's unofficial model name, after German Chancellor Konrad Adenauer, its most famous customer. This 'Adenauer' formerly belonged to Sir Freddie Laker.
