GERMAN MOTOR SPORTS: Rudolf Uhlenhaut (1906-1989) Anglo-German Engineer, associated with the Mercedes-Benz racing programme of the 1930s and 1950s. Designer of the Mercdes-Benz W196 Formula One racing car in which Juan Manuel Fangio and Stirling Moss raced, the former winning the 1954 and 1955 World Championships in the car. Vintage signed 8.5 x 6 photograph of Uhlenhaut in a half length pose leaning on the side of a motor racing car and accompanied by various other men. Signed ('R. Uhlenhaut') in red fountain pen ink with his name alone to a largely clear area at the base of the image; Fritz Nallinger (1898-1984) German Automobile Engineer & Executive, associated with the Daimler Benz company and their return to racing in the 1950s. Vintage signed 6 x 9 photograph of Nallinger in a head and shoulders pose. Signed in bold, dark blue fountain pen ink to a largely clear area at the base of the image and dated Stuttgart, 24th July 1954 in his hand. VG, 2
