TSCHAMMER UND OSTEN HANS VON: (1887-1943) German sport Official, SA Leader and member of the Reichstag for the Nazi Party of Germany. Tschammer held the post of Reichssportführer until his death in 1943, organizing the Summer Olympics in Berlin under his tenure. Signed postcard photograph, the image depicting Tschammer in a half length pose, wearing his uniform. Signed (´Tschammer´) in bold black ink with his name alone to the lower partially clear area of the image. EX. £100-150 Tschammer introduced some innovative improvements regarding the organization of sports events, like the Olympic torch relay, which are still in use today.
