Don Balke (North Carolina, B. 1933) "Cardinal" Signed lower right. Original Watercolor painting on Illustration Board. Provenance: Collection of James A. Helzer (1946-2008), Founder of Unicover Corporation. This painting is the original painting which was published on the Fleetwood First Day of Issue Maximum Card for the U.S. 30c Cardinal Flora and Fauna Series stamp issued June 22, 1991. A flash of red streaking through densely wooded park land accompanied by a sweet, clear trill indicates the presence of one of North America's most popular songbirds -- the cardinal. Often referred to as a cardinal grosbeak or redbird, the cardinal is common to North and South America but maintains a decided preference for the temperate regions of the Midwestern and eastern United States. While both the male and female possess a distinctive crest, the male outshines its mate in brilliant plumage. He jauntily sports the deep crimson feathers and black-ringed beak associated with the species, while her dun-colored mantle provides camouflage for brooding. Cardinals begin to mate in April and frequently breed until mid-September. The female often takes three to five days to build her cup-shaped nest in bushes or hedges close to houses, and lays from two to five eggs. Two weeks later the downy young hatch, and within nine days they are on their own. Within a year the juveniles are able to sing, warbling the flute-like, descending song which characterizes the species. Image Size: 14.5 x 17.75 in. Overall Size: 14.25 x 17.75 in. Unframed. Lot 495

Faith Jaques (British, B. 1923) "Boys on Bicycles" Signed lower right. Original Watercolor painting on Cold Press Illustration Board. Provenance: Collection of James A. Helzer (1946-2008), Founder of Unicover Corporation. This is the original painting which was published on the Fleetwood First Day of Issue Cover for the International Year of the Child stamp issued in 1979 by countries all around the world. The bicycle is a unique and grand invention -- one of the most efficient means ever created to convert human energy into propulsion. First devised in France in the 19th century, the bicycle today is an important means of transportation and a worldwide sport and industry. Kirkpatrick Macmillan is credited with inventing the first modern bike, after he developed the drivetrain in 1839. Shortly thereafter, the first recorded bicycle race in the world occurred when Macmillan wagered a coach driver he could win a race from Glasgow, Scotland, to the nearby town of Sanquhar. Macmillan's confidence in his abilities was well-founded, as he won decisively, an admirable feat considering his bicycle weighed over 80 pounds and had awkward wooden wheels rimmed with iron. Today, bicycles are the most prolific road vehicles in many countries. Bicycle touring and racing are two popular European sports, which are also practiced in the United States to a lesser degree. Touring is often organized into clubs. The Pickwick Bicycle Club of London, founded in 1870, is the world's oldest touring club. Early cycle clubs played an important role in their outspoken and fearless support of the sport of cycling, against the prevailing mood of the day. Today, over 50 million people around the world cycle regularly, enjoying the benefits of good health and vigor that come naturally with cycling. Image Size: 6.25 x 7 in. Overall Size: 9.75 x 10.5 in. Unframed. (B05518)

1991 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce S4 Transmission: automaticMileage:784The Spider designation for the open top sports cars originates from the word, speeder, and a two-person open horse carriage. The Alfa Romeo 105/115 Series Spider was produced from 1966 to 1993, remaining in production for almost three decades with only minor aesthetic and mechanical changes. Widely regarded as a design classic, this fourth series version of production came with further mechanical and cosmetic changes. Mechanical changes saw the introduction of the Bosch Motronic electronic fuel injection with an electric fan and cosmetically, losing its front under bumper spoiler and the rear boot spoiler picking up 164-style rear lights stretching across the width of the car together with colour coordinated plastic bumpers. This lovely right hand drive example is presented in dark green with beige leather/alcantara interior and its black hood is also in very good condition. Its lively 2.0 litre four-cylinder engine is mated to an automatic gearbox and the owner has had the wheels refurbished with new wheel centres and it also comes with power assisted steering. Within the substantial history file, it is documented that the speedometer was changed at 10,602 miles and once again at 34,000 miles. As well as various invoices and old MoT test certificates, it comes with its service/maintenance schedule booklets within its original Alfa Romeo wallet. Offered at no reserve, this sharp looking classic Alfa Romeo represents fantastic value for money. Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Lot 104

2002 Mercedes-Benz SL55 AMG Kompressor Transmission: Mileage:80602The fifth generation of the legendary SL series of two door convertible sports cars was known as the R230. It featured a fully retractable hardtop that was marketed as the Vario Roof, a first for the SL class although it had been available on the smaller SLK model since 1997. The flagship models were built by AMG in the form of the SL55 and SL65, both highly tuned versions of the SL500 and SL600 respectively. The SL55 was powered by a mighty supercharged version of the 5.5 litre, V8 which produced 493bhp and achieved 0-62 in 4.7 seconds and on to a top speed of 155mph (governed). In theory, the SL55 could reach 190mph if the car was derestricted but, for many, the acceleration and top speed is impressive enough in its standard form! This Supercharged version of the Mercedes SL was registered in October 2002.Originally blue, this SL was professionally wrapped by Evolution Customs in Dunfermline in 2015 and now presents stunningly as a replica of a Formula One pace car in silver, red and black. This sleek look is enhanced with black alloys and AMG decals. This head-turning Mercedes is offered to auction with a V5C registration and a fresh MoT test certificate and is available without reserve.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.Interested parties should note that the roof mechanism on this vehicle is not working.

Lot 112

1978 Triumph Stag Transmission: automaticMileage:84772Launched in 1970, the Triumph Stag was a luxury grand tourer. Envisioned as a luxury sports car, it was designed to compete directly with the Mercedes-Benz SL class models. All Stags were four-seater convertible coupés but for structural rigidity and to meet new American rollover standards at the time, the Stag required a B-pillar 'roll bar' hoop connected to the windscreen frame by a T-bar. A new 2.5 litre, V8 designed and developed by Triumph's Harry Webster was later enlarged to 2,997cc. Most Stags were fitted with a Borg Warner automatic gearbox although manual gearboxes with overdrive were available. Electric windows, power steering and power-assisted brakes were fitted as standard. This well-prepared example was registered new on 20th April 1978 and is presented in good order throughout having recently been treated to various maintenance work. Offered in Old English White over a contrasting interior, this Stag is reported to drive well and sounds fantastic when on song. Complete with various sundry invoices and the UK registration document, this well-priced and handsome Triumph Stag, with automatic gearbox, will carry you elegantly through the summer.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Lot 119

1966 Triumph Spitfire 4 Mk. II Transmission: manualMileage:35166The young Italian stylist, Giovanni Michelotti, was introduced to Standard Triumph by Captain Raymond Flowers; not only because of his ability to style, but to build prototype models also. Several projects were undertaken with the most significant being the prototype bomb that morphed into the Triumph Spitfire in 1962. The Triumph Spitfire 4 Mk. II had a little more power over the earlier, retrospectively named, Mk. I Spitfire sibling; a further, but modest, 4bhp according to factory records. There was also rather more refinement in the interior fittings. With a fully opening front end, servicing was a delight and today, these British sports cars are well catered for by several specialists throughout the UK. This lovely Triumph Spitfire, first registered in the UK during 1966, is presented with white coachwork and contrasting black trim. What sets this car apart from many contemporary examples is its overall condition, especially upon the undersides that, on inspection, look factory fresh with no evidence of repairs and no doubt aided by the wax protection that has been applied.  The panel gaps are very good and new bumper brightwork front and rear really sets the car off. On opening the doors, the trim work presents very well, all being in excellent order and very inviting.  Mechanically, this Spitfire is in very good condition; the engine starts easily with a little choke and, we are informed, drives well. Importantly, Halogen headlights, as well as five new Firestone tyres, not only aide night driving and handling but are important safety factors also. The car comes with its factory steel hardtop, soft top and frame and a history file that contains the UK V5C registration document and, although exempt, a valid MoT test certificate. These early Mk. I and Mk. II models are quite scarce on the roads these days and, with their Italian designed flare, are considered the purest and prettiest of the range that spanned from 1962 to 1980. The mileage of 35,166 recorded is believed genuine considering the condition of the undersides, including the chassis, and a number of old MoT test certificates on file. With a competitive estimate, this Triumph Spitfire should reward its new owner with many hours of driving fun and ideal timing with the spring and summer nearly upon us.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.

Lot 122

1983 Mercedes-Benz 380SL Transmission: automaticMileage:Introduced in early 1971, this impressive two-seater sports car replaced the 280 SL. The body and chassis of the third generation SL was considerably heavier and longer than its predecessor but it still showed a resemblance. The standard transmission provided a top speed of 130mph and a very respectable 0-62mph in 8.8 seconds. As with the previous generations of SLs, the vehicle came as an open roadster with a removable hardtop roof. The R107 body shape went on to become one of the longest running styles from Mercedes-Benz, remaining in production until 1989 with some 13 variants during the production run. This well looked after example is presented inmetallic goldpaintwork over a tan leather interior. The general condition of the Mercedes is very good, the paint retains a deep shine but does have some minor blemishes as you would expect of a car of this age. The interior is in very good order. Purchased by the current vendor to partake in various road rallies throughout Europe the car was unfortunately never used as intended, instead being exercised occasionally during the summer months. Offered to auction with a V5C registration document and an MoT test certificate valid until 29thJune 2021, the sale of this Autobahn cruiser promises to give miles and miles of enjoyment to its next owner.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.

Lot 124

2006 Caterham SV Roadsport Transmission: manualMileage:5397Caterham Cars is a manufacturer of specialist lightweight sports cars and is a direct evolution of the Series III Lotus Seven designed by Colin Chapman originally launched in 1973. Caterham had been a major Lotus Seven dealer during the 1960's and its founder, Graham Nearn, purchased the rights to continue manufacture of the Seven design after Lotus announced its intention to discontinue the model. The Lotus/Caterham Seven is widely regarded by car enthusiasts and the media as one of the most precise handling sports cars ever, with 2007 marking the 50th year of continuous production. As with its Lotus Seven predecessor, Caterhams are constructed of aluminium sheet attached to a tubular steel chassis and all are front engined with rear-wheel drive and two seats. Their extremely high performance is achieved through being lightweight and well balanced rather than from having particularly powerful engines.Ordered in March 2006 and first registered that June, this beautiful Caterham Seven offers a perfect compromise of performance and practicality. The SV Roadsport sporting the wider chassis makes for a much more comfortable experience, especially on longer journeys. With this in mind the car was specified new not only as an SV, but also with leather adjustable seats, both inertia and 4-point harness seatbelts, a heater, side screen arm rests and a quick release leather steering wheel. Other practical options include a rear roll cage, spare wheel, cigar lighter, starter button, tonneau cover, full weather equipment, five-speed gearbox and unusually, an uprated 1.8 litres X-Power engine with an additional 20 HP pushing power output to 140 HP. The vendor reports that this factory built example drives superbly and is a reluctant sale. The specification of this lovely little Caterham lends itself perfectly to day trips as well as tours and trackdays, performing equally well for each function.Supplied with the car’s original order sheet and factory correspondence, original book pack, a V5C registration document, previous MoT test certificates, many receipts and two keys. This Seven offers huge fun whilst keeping practicality in mind. You would certainly be hard pushed to find a better presented and useable example of this Chapman design classic.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.

Lot 137

1961 Triumph TR4 Transmission: manualMileage:76185Produced between 1961 and 1967, the TR4 combined a new, modern and aggressive body design by famed Italian stylist, Giovanni Michelotti with the basic chassis of the previous TR3A. The TR4 also improved passenger comfort with wind-up windows, face-level ventilation and an optional hardtop. The 2138cc engine of the late production TR3A continued while the 1991cc engine was also made available to buyers who wanted to participate in two litre racing. When equipped with the optional overdrive, the TR4 was good for a top speed of almost 110mph. Today, the four-cylinder TR's are among the easiest of post-war classic sports cars to own and maintain being supported by a multitude of component suppliers and other specialists. This TR4 was one of the many exported to the US and was repatriated to the UK in 2016. Clearly she has benefitted from time and investment as this example presents in good order and is in the lovely colour combination of red with black interior. Still in left hand drive guise, this Triumph sits proudly on Minilite wheels. We are advised she drives well with no known faults. Supplied with a V5C registration document, this stylish Triumph TR4 is a sure way to enjoy the summer months ahead.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.

Lot 139

1988 BMW 635 CSi Highline Transmission: automaticMileage:69000Successor to the race proven E9 3.0CS/CSi, the BMW 6-Series was introduced in August 1976, it utilised a modified version of the 5-Series saloon platform equipped with all-round independent suspension and powerful disc brakes. A natural rival to the 928 and XJS, the four-seater 6-Series proved more capacious than the Porsche and sportier than the Jaguar. Immediately recognisable thanks to its distinctive 'shark nose' frontal styling and thin pillared glasshouse it boasts real road presence. Second only to the BMW Motorsport tuned M6 version, the 635CSi's 3430cc unit developed some 216bhp and 232lbft of torque propelling it from 0-60mph in 8.4 seconds and on to 135mph.This example of one of the 80’s most iconic sports cars is presented in lovely deep Royal Blue coachwork with contrasting sumptuous Highline specification grey leather trim. Boasting remarkably low mileage for a car that is so accustomed to gobbling up the miles, this example is offered in fabulous order with, at the time of viewing, the vendor stating that all electrical buttons are working correctly. Owned by BMW enthusiasts, the history file provides comprehensive evidence of continued maintenance and expenditure including new brake discs and pads in 2019 and, after which, the underside of the car was cleaned and checked and Dinitrol undersealing was applied to preserve the car for the future. Also present in the history file is every MoT test certificate from 1991 and the original book pack which details the supplying dealer, L.J.K Garages in Ilford, Essex who registered the car in June 1988. A copy of the original build sheet shows that this example was heavily specified with extras including limited-slip differential, sports seats, heated mirrors, electric sunroof, air conditioning, M-Tech steering wheel and rear window blind to mention a few. L.J.K, the supplying dealer serviced the car ten times from new and since then a comprehensive record of services from specialists coupled to enthusiast owner’s maintenance has been recorded. Offered with an MoT test certificate until January 2022 and with the original set of TRX alloys and tyres, this is an example of a great appreciating classic in very good condition with viewing highly recommended.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. 1995 Porsche 911 / 993 Carrera Convertible Transmission: manualMileage:94795The Porsche 993 was introduced in 1993 as a replacement for the 964 generation of the iconic 911 models and was built until 1998. Regarded by many as the best generation of 911's ever produced from Stuttgart, this car was the last to use the air-cooled flat six engine that had powered 911's for the previous thirty years. It was offered in a number of guises and specifications during its production life including two and four-wheel drive, known as Carrera and Carrera 4 respectively. This stunning example was first registered on 1st August 1995 and it is presented in excellent metallic Polar Silver with classic grey leather interior which has recently been renewed and thus unmarked. Treated to a new hood in blue, this example was specified new from the factory with the lowered chassis, sports seats and wind deflector, all of which are detailed on the Porsche Certificate of Authenticity supplied with the car. The car has recently benefitted from new rear tyres and a new rear silencer in March 2019, it also boasts a tonneau cover and two sets of keys. Our private owner, a Porsche enthusiast and club member, purchased the car in 2015 and has since serviced the car with well-known specialists, Northway Porsche, with 19 stamps found in the original stamped maintenance book and continuation book, due to the original being full, with the most recent service in October 2020. Contained within the large history file are invoices for new ignition leads in 2017 and a clutch and slave cylinder in 2016, both under 1,000 miles ago, these are coupled to a current MoT test certificate valid until October 2021. A car that has been garaged and is in stunning order throughout with a fabulous history, this is truly a gem of a 993. This is one of the best of the last air-cooled 911's offered with a fitting 911 registration plate included with the car.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.

Lot 141

2005 Porsche 911 Carrera S Transmission: manualMileage:12250 The 996 model of the 911 Porsche was replaced by the 997 in 2005. The new model shares less than a third of its parts with the outgoing 996 but is technically similar to it. At the launch two versions were introduced. They were the Carrera and the more powerful and better equipped Carrera S. This was the first time since 1977 that the 911 was offered in two power versions. The specification differences included larger and more powerful brakes with red calipers, lowered suspension featuring the ‘Porsche Active Suspension Management’ system, Xenon headlights and a sports steering wheel.Originally registered on 1st June 2005, the smooth lines of this elegant looking Carrera S are accentuated by stunning black metallic paint and a matching black leather interior. We are informed by the vendor that this Porsche is a joy to drive. From the comfort of the electric seats, the road holding on these Porsches is exceptional and the responsiveness of the 3.8 litre engine is certain to put a smile on a driver’s face. Offered to auction with a V5C registration document and an MoT test certificate valid until September 2021, this extremely low mileage Porsche 911 Carrera S is also importantly, fitted with a manual gearbox. Serviced only with Porsche main dealers boasting six services the most recent service and inspection in December 2020. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.Lot is now offered with No Reserve.

Lot 144

1998 BMW Z3M Transmission: manualMileage:111570The Z3 was the first modern mass-market roadster produced by BMW, as well as the first new BMW model to be assembled in the United States. It was introduced as a 1996 model year vehicle, shortly after being featured in the James Bond movie 'Goldeneye'. While the film was number one at the box office, sales of the car peaked and it was sold out by the time the car was launched. Along with the styling cues, BMW’s Motorsports division took the Z3M and shoehorned in the performance version of the most beloved six-cylinder engines in the auto industry from the BMW E36 M3, upping the power to 321bhp!!This example is finished in Estoril Blue metallic with blue and black leather sports seats and a blue hood. The car comes with its factory hardtop, heated seats, electric windows and electric door mirrors. It also has remote door locking facility, wind deflectors and a roof cover. Its powerful 3.2 litre six-cylinder engine is mated to a five-speed gearbox and all the alloys wheels are in good condition as is the car throughout. The ‘M’ series of this model is highly sought after and as this is a convertible, this makes it even more desirable.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 2006 Porsche 911 / 997 Carrera 4S Convertible Transmission: automaticMileage:84285The 997 is dripping with technology. The Carrera S had the new Porsche Active Suspension Management as standard with both Carrera and non-Carrera benefitting from variable-ratio steering and Porsche stability management. Safety was further enhanced by the addition of four-wheel drive, a useful addition when you are channelling that much power through to the tarmac from the larger S-spec engine. Additionally, there was also the Sport Chrono Package offering a dash-mounted stopwatch which, as Octane put it, “tautened the throttle and suspension damping while loosening the PSM’s rein.”First registered on 26th April 2006, this wonderful Carrera 4S offers the perfect blend of sports car excitement with everyday practicality. Whether the top is up or down, flying down country lanes or visiting the local supermarket, the 4S does it all effortlessly and commands the respect of car lovers everywhere who recognise the Porsche ‘S’ models as the connoisseur’s choice. Looking fabulous in their wide body format and sporting 19” Carrera Sport wheels, these cars really hit the sweet spot of the 911 range. Desirable options on this particular car include 2-way electric leather seats in the front as well as leather rear seats, dashboard and door panels. Other benefits include steering wheel mounted Tiptronic gear change buttons and a full European satellite navigation system. The car boasts a full service history with most of the work carried out either by Porsche main agents or specialist garages including respected Porsche specialist JZM in Hertfordshire since 2014, with Langley Autocraft replacing a rear tyre and cleaning and wax oiling the bottom of the car more recently in January, demonstrating the level of care given to the car. The vendor reports that this Porsche drives faultlessly and he will be sorry to see it go, but no longer uses it enough.Supplied with a stamped service history, original book pack, a V5C registration document, previous MoT test certificates, many receipts, two keys and a Tracker. 2005 Bentley Continental Flying Spur Transmission: automaticMileage:43000The Bentley Continental Flying Spur (2006 - 2013) is the second Bentley manufactured since Volkswagen Group purchased the brand in 1999, after the Continental GT. The Flying Spur is essentially a four-door version of the GT, with a longer wheelbase and greater length for more spacious rear seating. The two models are similarly priced and the Flying Spur carries the same twin-turbo 6.0-litre W12 used in the Continental GT, for an output of 600bhp. It has a 0 to 60 time of a very impressive 4.9 seconds and a top speed of 195 mph. The steering column-mounted paddle shifters enable direct access to the six-speed gearbox when the ZF transmission is in sports mode or the car can be driven at a more leisurely pace in automatic mode. Twelve inches longer than the GT and sharing the same permanent four-wheel drive platform and twin-turbo 6.0-litre W12 engine, although it must be said the Flying Spur is not just about eye-watering performance, the cabin is whisper quiet at any speed thanks to the silky engine and the extensive noise insulation measures that extend to double-pane glazing. This Bentley benefits from a full main dealer service history. To drive such a car is a memorable experience, when they have been cosseted in such a way as this example has it enhances the driving experience even further. The specification of a Flying Spur is exceptional with climate control front and rear, heated seats, electric memory seats and air conditioned seats. Finished in silver with black interior and supplied with a V5C registration document together with an Mot test certificate valid until 10th February 2022. This has been an exceptionally well cared for example having had ten services throughout its life all at Bentley main dealers, the last one was carried out by Jack Barclay on 12th March 2018 at 40,410 miles. The ergonomics of a Bentley Flying Spur are superb and the interior is remarkably sumptuous with ample leather and wood. Without doubt this car offers exceptional value for money.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1966 Mercedes-Benz 230 SL Pagoda Transmission: manualMileage:6305Launched at the Geneva Motor Show in March of 1963, the 230 SL was a very different car to its predecessors. Intended as the replacement for the 190 SL, the 230 SL abandoned the four-cylinder engine in favour of a 2.3 litre fuel-injected six cylinder engine, producing 150bhp. The new engine was derived from that of the great 220 SE. The Paul Bracq penned body was an all new, stylish design which became an instant classic. Beneath the skin, the running gear was conventional Mercedes-Benz, featuring independent suspension, disc brakes on the front and rear drums. Top speed was in excess of 120mph. Soon after the 230 SL was announced, Eugen Bohringer drove one to victory in the Spa-Sofia-Liège Rally and, although competition outings are rare, this was the sort of debut one would expect from the Stuttgart factory. These SL models were amongst the most-loved sports-tourers of their day and continue to be highly sought after by collectors. This fabulous 230 SL is finished in the striking colour combination of Signal Red with black interior and with a black hardtop. Subject to a huge restoration programme, this Mercedes-Benz presents in remarkable condition and must surely be one of the best available on the market today. The quality of the restoration work needs to be viewed in person to appreciate the workmanship. We are advised she drives as good as she looks, the 2.3 litre engine is mated to a manual gearbox. Now UK registered and supplied with a V5C registration document this Mercedes-Benz is in left hand guise;this is an opportunity to purchase one of the best Pagoda’s we have seen.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Lot 152

2005 Mercedes-Benz C55 AMG Transmission: automaticMileage:79844The C55 signified a return to AMG’s V8 roots, after barely a three-year flirtation with a supercharged V6. AMG found 8,100 homes for the C32, but the AMG engineers seemed much happier now that there was a serious, big-capacity, naturally aspirated 5.4litre V8 powering the meatiest C-Class and the badge is there to, well, to ensure the owners don’t forget. It is not the performance, AMG claimed 5.2 seconds to 62mph for both C55 and C32, or even the transformation to a deep, wonderfully muscular exhaust note, but the makeover in the dynamics that stood the new sports saloon apart. The C55 marked a small, but perceptible, shift towards a sharper, more sporting focus, that set it closer to the M3 than any previous AMG hotrod C-Class.This example of this brute of a car is presented in silver with black leather interior and comes with electric heated front seats, sunroof, air conditioning with climate control. Also accompanying the car is its original service book showing frequent servicing at almost yearly intervals from 31st June 2005 to October 2019. With the values of the earlier Cosworth-inspired super sports Mercedes rocketing well into six figures, this pure-blood AMG super saloon in the lightweight C-Class bodyshell is already a collectible Mercedes AMG hot rod, with blistering performance and that oh-so-inspiring and famous AMG V8 exhaust note.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Lot 160

2010 Porsche 911 / 997 Gen 2 Turbo S Cabriolet Transmission: automaticMileage:7018Porsche has traditionally raised the appeal of the 911 Turbo during the latter part of its lifecycle with a heavily optioned 'S' model and the 997 Turbo is no exception. The twin-turbocharged 3.8 litre engine of the regular Turbo model has been subtly tweaked to boost performance and receives a nominal 1.0 bar of boost (against 0.8 bar on the standard version) along with lightly modified turbocharger vanes and a carbon fibre air manifold to endow the S with 530bhp and a continuous (not over-boosted) 516lb ft of torque. That’s 30bhp and 37lb ft more than the Turbo resulting in a class-leading (at the time) 0-62 mph in 3.1 seconds although the top speed remained unchanged. The facelifted version of Porsche’s 997 Turbo was unveiled at the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show. It was fitted with a completely new 3.8 litre engine generating a maximum power output of 530bhp, thanks to revised Borg-Warner variable turbine geometry (VTG) turbochargers, whilst the optional seven-speed PDK dual-clutch gearbox replaced the Tiptronic. With PDK and the, also optional, Sport-Chrono package, which includes the availability of electronically controlled launch control and an over-boost function for temporarily increasing the turbo-pressure, Porsche claimed the 911 Turbo would accelerate from 0–62 mph in 3.4 seconds and before reaching a top speed of a staggering 194 mph. This one family owned from new, low mileage, example is a second generation, 997 Turbo S cabriolet, which was delivered by Porsche and first registered on 27th November 2010. Resplendent in the rare PTS (paint to sample) specification of Ice Blue metallic with a wonderful black and cream full leather interior. One should not overlook the high specification of this 997, it comes with the desirable GT sports steering wheel with aluminium paddles amongst many other important features. Diligently maintained by both a Porsche main dealer and a specialist, this wonderful example showing a mere 7,018 miles from new has had two services, the drive belt being replaced during the later and four new tyres also being fitted. Offered from a private collection and in very good order throughout, the paintwork presents extremely well as does the alloy wheels and interior, as you would expect with such a low mileage car. Presented to auction in superb order, this 997 comes complete with a history file including the service and maintenance booklets, the current UK registration document and a MoT test certificate valid until September 2021.The vendor reports that the 997’s PDK gearbox makes for an unforgettable driving experience. Combining earth-shattering performance with genuine day-to-day usability, the Turbo S cabriolet is untouchable, and in this delightful colour combination and low mileage, appears irresistible.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.

1989 Toyota Supra Turbo Transmission: automaticMileage:35360The initial four generations of the Supra were produced from 1978 to 2002. The fifth generation has been produced since March 2019 and went on sale in May 2019. The styling of the original Supra was derived from the Toyota Celica, but it was both longer and wider. Starting in mid 1986, the A70 Supra became a separate model from the Celica. In turn, Toyota also stopped using the prefix Celica and named the car Supra. This lovely UK supplied from new example, is presented in Supra White with full blue leather interior. The car had a major service carried out by the previous owner in 2019 costing £2,471 which included the cambelt. It has had little use in the last nine years, covering less than 700 miles in that time and the present odometer reading is believed to be genuine. The history file includes the original service book with fifteen stamps, eleven of which are main dealer, between 1989 and 2007 at 24,013 miles, all MoT test certificates from when first due in 1992 until this year, handbooks and wallet. The original spare wheel, which has never been used, remains with the car. It comes with air conditioning, electric windows, sports seats, overdrive, cruise control, Sony CD player and ECT Power (extra power at the touch of a button). These models have reached ‘cult status’ in our opinion and a low mileage example such as this is a great proposition.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.

1963 Daimler SP250 ‘B’ Specification Transmission: manualMileage:82225The controversially styled Daimler Dart was introduced at the New York Motor Show in 1959 and had its European debut at the 1959 Earls Court Motor Show; the Dart name was soon dropped after the threat of legal action from Chrysler who had a car of that name within their Dodge division. Thereafter this new sports car was known as the Daimler SP250. Power was provided by the 2.5 litre, Edward Turner designed, V8 that soon became revered for the smoothness in its power delivery with 140bhp on tap. Independent double wishbone front suspension at the front and half elliptical springs at the rear with a live rear axle kept the car on the road with stopping power supplied by hydraulic disc brakes on all four corners. The coachwork was constructed with glass reinforced plastic providing a tough, strong and lightweight shape that enhanced performance with exciting and non-traditional looks. The 120mph plus capability was recognised by the police and they were soon being used as high-speed chase cars. This very good Daimler SP250 ‘B’ Specification was first registered on Valentine’s day 1963 and was restored in the 1980’s. In the late 1980’s, after the restoration, it was purchased by Mr. John Hill who kept the car for 18 years before selling it to the current owner in 2007. Over the next few years, the car has had various specialist work carried out, mostly by John Kemply historic sports and race car specialists of Sussex. This work included a full engine rebuild which involved it been fully balanced and using original ‘old stock’ Hepworth pistons and crankshaft, the gearbox fully rebuilt and fitting a diaphragm clutch with a thrust bearing conversion, Spax shock absorbers with replacement rear springs, a fast flow radiator and additional electric fan, a complete stainless steel exhaust system, electronic ignition, a new fuel tank with integral reserve fuel solenoid, Coopercraft front brake calipers and brake discs and new tyres. Finished in red with black interior, this SP250 is supplied with the complete original front bumper, a V5 registration document and a file containing invoices for the work carried out over recent years. The MoT history shows that this car has covered less than 10,000 miles whilst in the current owner’s possession. This car comes from a private collection of a discerning collector and enthusiast, which can be seen in the care taken with this car. This is a great opportunity to own a rare ‘B’ Specification SP250 which is very usable and appreciating car.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1991 Range Rover CSK Transmission: manualMileage:158,438The limited edition Range Rover CSK is named after Charles Spencer King, the man who designed the original two-door Range Rover over 20 years ago. The CSK was intended primarily to publicise the new anti-roll suspension and was promoted as a sportier Range Rover but most elements of its specification were drawn from the four-door Vogue SE or from US-market models. Each car has an individually numbered plaque on the radio panel confirming its exclusivity, discreetly bearing his insignia and, in 1990, would set you back £28,995 for the manual or £30,319.32 for the automatic. The CSK features a number of modifications improving both performance and passenger comfort and became the fastest production Range Rover ever built at that time with the proven and re-chipped version of the 3.9 litre, V8 engine developing 185bhp. The increase in performance was complemented by improved handling at high speeds with the introduction of front and rear anti-roll bars and sports dampers to give a smoother, more comfortable ride.  Standard equipment includes a six-speaker security coded stereo system, air-conditioning, central locking and electrically operated tilt/slide sunroof, electric windows and heated door mirrors. Also, standard is one of the world's most advanced four-wheel drive ABS braking system which prevents wheel-lock in the worst conditions on any combination of surfaces. This CSK is number 181 of 200 examples manufactured. An extensive restoration was carried out between 2012 and 2018, this was a ‘body off’ restoration giving clear and encumbered access to the chassis. The restoration cost was an eye-watering £113,000,this gives an indication to the extensiveness of work carried out and more importantly the quality of the work. Described as being in ‘great running order’ and sitting proudly on a relatively new set of Michelin tyres, this limited edition and highly sought-after Range Rover comes with a V5C registration document and the restoration invoices Interested parties should note that this vehicle developed a fault with the transfer box on the way here. This will be repaired at the vendors expense and the vehicle delivered to the new owner free of charge (within reason).Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. 1989 Mercedes-Benz 500 SL Transmission: automaticMileage:92902 With the R107 shape Mercedes-Benz, you are very much buying into an image. The style and flair are there in spades married, obviously, to renowned German build-quality. There are many variations on the theme in terms of engine size and the larger the size, generally, the more desirable, the car and so it is with this ‘Sports Licht’ roadster. The biggest on offer in Europe was the five litre, V8 engine and it is this well-engineered power plant that can be found under this bonnet today.Presenting well in the rare but attractive colour combination of Almandine Red with cream interior, this classic looking Mercedes has benefitted from recent extensive work by the SL Shop, N J Restorations and D-Class automotive that has totalled over £35,000. These comprehensive works included: replacement bulkhead, a new soft top, extensive work on the suspension, brakes and engine with new tyres, new carpets and seat covers. In addition to this a bare metal respray has been completed by NJ Restoration and the replacement bulkhead is still under warranty from the SL Shop. There is both a photographic history of the restoration and a file of receipts, invoices and old MoT’s to accompany ten years of service history. This 500 SL is one of the last of the R107 models to leave the world-famous Stuttgart factory (registered in December 1989) and features the optional rear seats and the desirable removable hardtop. Offered to auction with a V5C registration document and an MoT test certificate valid until July 2021 and given the values achieved at auction recently, G794 CLK can only be described as extremely well estimated. Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1968 Chevrolet Corvette C3 427ci Transmission: automaticMileage:90000This rare NCRS Top Flight 1968 Corvette Coupé is presented in Silverstone Silver with a black interior and is powered by its original matching numbers IM-L68, 427 cubic inch 400 bhp engine with correct numbers, fitted with 3x2 Holley carburettors, all of this is mated to a four-speed transmission.Boasting air conditioning, tinted glass, power steering, power brakes and complete with the original tank sticker, this car is in impeccable condition and we are informed in perfect working order. The paint is described as flawless; indeed the entire vehicle is in incredible concours condition including the undercarriage and frame.Built in early March 1968 it is believed only 116 Corvettes were built with the 427ci /400hp block mated to a four-speed gearbox. Understood to have had just three owners, the current owner has had the vehicle for 10 years. It appears to have a genuine 90,000 miles on the odometer, substantiated by the original owner’s personal maintenance notes in the Owner’s Manual which contains hand-written maintenance notes to 77,280 miles. This stunning car received an NCRS Top Flight award in 2004 and again in 2019; an award which was created by the National Corvette Restorers Society in 1974 to recognise cars that have been preserved or restored to the highest level of achievement through the NCRS Flight Judging Process. The overall score was 96.48% in 2004 and the deficits noted on the judging sheets have been corrected as noted in available documents. In September 2018, the vehicle was treated to a refresh in excess of $21,000 which included an overhaul or replacement of all major systems, key components and appearance items; receipts for which are included in the history file.Provenance is provided by way of the original tank sticker, Owner’s Manual with original owner’s maintenance notes, 2004 NCRS Regional Top Flight certificate judging sheets, receipts from the 2004 restoration and complete documentation of the freshening completed in September 2018 at Masterworks Corvette in Madison Heights, Michigan. Masterworks was founded by Werner Meier, a General Motors engineer/manager who spent over 25 years in the Corvette group and earned him admittance in the Corvette Hall of Fame and also an NCRS senior judge and group judge at the Concours D’Elegance of America. Regarded as one of the best in the world at Corvette judging and restoration, Werner restored dozens of notable Corvettes, some of which have been on display at the National Corvette Museum. Few people understand, or know how to, restore Corvettes as this man does.During restoration, only the highest quality rebuilt, N.O.S. or premium reproduction parts were used, and no unknown manufacturers were utilised as sources. In the latest restoration, the major systems of the car were replaced, overhauled or repaired including the intake manifold and removal of the oil pan and internals inspected. The compression check was very good with all cylinders registering between 108-116 psi on the 1st cycle, and 128-135 psi on the 3rd cycle. The oil pan, oil pan gaskets and rear main engine seal were replaced. Push rods, lifters, rocker arms, etc. were inspected and found to be in good condition. The transmission and rear axle were overhauled by a GM engineer and all parts found to be out-of-spec or visibly worn were replaced and the internal specs were checked and corrected. The factory specified rear axle ratio of 3.08:1 was changed to 3.36:1 during restoration (the speedo gear was also changed and is accurate to +1 mph) - this change allowed the vehicle to perform better than it did as new but can easily be returned to the original 3.08:1 ratio with little cost or effort. U-joints, driveshaft, axles were inspected, found to be in good condition and marked with appropriate paint. The brake system was extensively redone with new vacuum booster, master cylinder, master cylindercover (with bail tag), calipers, and pads. The fluid was replaced and discs were refaced. The carburettors were replaced with N.O.S. units with correct date codes, before fuel lines/blocks, linkage, cable, choke coil/cover and brackets were replaced.Key electrical components were replaced, the entire interior was removed and each assembly was then inspected and replaced if function or appearance were compromised before painted items received fresh paint. All key electrical switches were replaced and even the FM/AM radio, speakers, speaker wires, fresh air outlets replaced. The front and rear suspension was inspected, aligned and placed in spec and shocks were replaced. The tyres are correct reproduction from original moulds as red line bias-ply Sup-R-Belt - a rare option only available on late production cars. The paint and chrome appear factory new and gives the appearance of being dipped in a liquid coating. The panel fit is as original and we are informed there is no damage to body or trim and no missing trim. After the 2018 work this example was imported to the UK where in 2019 it gained a fresh NCRS Top Flight award, and in the face of much stricter criteria than in previous years it achieved an impressive overall score of 97.4 %. Offered with the dealer-installed accessory luggage rack together with a comprehensive history file, this Corvette gives an accurate impression of what the car would have looked like when new 50 years ago. With its impressive looks and performance, the quality of this car is targeted at the Corvette enthusiast who does not want to compromise on their investment but instead wants a verifiable, documented history of responsible ownership and restoration as befits one of America’s true sports cars.Ready for showing or just for recreational driving, opportunities to own such a desirable car are rare and the new owner would undoubtedly be the envy of every Corvette enthusiast.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1959 Jaguar XK150 Drophead Coupé Transmission: manualMileage:21934Despite having a family resemblance to the XK120 and XK140, the XK150 was radically modernised. A one-piece windscreen replaced the split screen and the wing line no longer dropped as much over the doors. The bonnet was widened, opened down to the wings and on the roadster, the bulkhead was moved back four inches to make the bonnet longer. In the interior, the XK140's walnut dashboard was replaced by one trimmed in leather and chrome. On the early drophead coupés, an aluminium centre dash panel with an ‘X’ pattern engraving was fitted which looked similar to the early 3.8 E-Type. It was discontinued after June 1958. The standard engine, the same as fitted to the XK140, was the 3.4 litre DOHC Jaguar straight six rated at 180bhp at 5750rpm. These were high performance, well-appointed sports touring cars capable of 137mph and 0-60 in 7.8 seconds and could accomplish long distances with comfort and in great style. This superb Jaguar was manufactured in 1959 as a genuine UK registered right hand drive example. However it was built as a coupé and was professionally converted to a drophead coupé to exacting standards some years later. Mechanically, the car has also been sensibly modified; the engine upgraded to ‘S’ specification which is fuelled by a trio of two-inch SU carburettors. She also benefits from a high torque starter motor, twin fuel pumps, an alternator, high volume radiator and a stainless steel exhaust system. The gearbox is a five-speed Getrag unit and this is linked to an S-Type rear axle with a limited slip differential. To be expected, the brakes have been upgraded to four-pot Coopercraft front calipers and the suspension has adjustable Spax shock absorbers all round. Sitting proudly on 15” chrome wire wheels, perhaps the most significant upgrade is power steering making this XK150 a delight to drive. Finished in British Racing Green with magnolia interior and a tan hood, this delightful example is a joy to drive and will easily keep up with modern day traffic.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. 1963 Triumph Vitesse Convertible Transmission: manualMileage:96000Introduced in May 1962, the Triumph Vitesse was a six-cylinder sports saloon based upon the four-cylinder powered Triumph Herald. Having designed the Herald, Giovanni Michelotti made revisions to the design evolving it into the Vitesse and resulting in the ‘slanted’ four-headlamp design. This is a superb example of one of the very first Vitesse convertibles with the ultra-rare single clock. We are informed this example has benefitted from significant expenditure and is referred to as a ‘go anywhere anytime classic’ and a Best in Show winning car on multiple occasions. Fitted with overdrive on third and fourth gears to ensure this example has no problem keeping up with modern traffic. Sitting on wire wheels with the sporty twin exhaust, this Vitesse has a concealed stereo and benefits from a new clutch. Our vendor has owned this car for over nine years and states that when not in use the car has always remained garaged away from the elements. This is quite possibly the very best example of this great British classic and we are informed a total pleasure to both own and drive.Guide Price £13,000 - £17,000Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1973 Jaguar E-Type Series III Coupé 2+2 Transmission: automaticMileage:87704There is no denying the legendary status that is enjoyed by the Jaguar E-Type, from its arrival on the motoring scene in 1961 until the final car was built in 1975, this sports car from Coventry had an impact that is still felt today. Even with its sportscar heritage, Jaguar depended on saloon vehicles for its survival and had developed its twelve-cylinder engine to power them with sufficient torque and refinement. Larger and softer in nature with weight redistributed 53/47, the Series III had lost the wilds of its youth but gained the long-legged touring profile to which it was arguably better suited.Originally registered in July 1973, this 2+2 coupé presents well in Primrose Yellow with cream leather upholstery. This usable automatic example benefits from a Webasto sunroof and has been owned by the vendor since 2005. During her tenure this car has been used infrequently and always dry stored. The history file for this classic Coventry cat contains recent servicing work, a V5C registration document and, although exempt, a fresh MoT test certificate. Realistically estimated this Jaguar offers an opportunity to own a most iconic British classic.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1971 Jaguar E-Type Series III 2+2 Coupé Transmission: manualMileage:76220By the mid-1960s, the Jaguar E-Type was appealing to the man with a young family but who were restricted by the size of the current Jaguar E-Type Coupé and its open topped sibling. This prompted Jaguar to offer a third option in the form of a 2+2 Coupé. By adding nine inches to the wheelbase and two inches in height, it was then possible to fit a rear seat capable of seating two adults in tolerable comfort. Of course the rear seat was more suited to children or, as 'The Motor' put it at the time, the car could 'extend Dad's youth for another seven years'. Robert Bell in Motor was quoted as saying at the time that all we expected to try was a new engine but what in fact we drove was a new car. Not a yowling, aggressive Ferrari-like machine with which, perhaps, most people associate a V12 engine but a very smooth, quiet and refined grand touring sports car.Manufactured on 3rd March 1971, this E-Type was built as a left hand drive model and was intended to be sold in Italy. However as the Jaguar Heritage Certificate confirms, this order was cancelled and the car remained with Jaguar Cars. The car appears to have undergone a colour change from light blue to British Racing Green and converted to right hand drive before it was finally despatched to Coombs in Guildford on 30th March 1973. Presenting now in very good order throughout, this E-Type starts on the button and runs exceedingly well; these long-legged tourers are ideal for a trip to the coast or to the South of France. With only four previous keepers, this Jaguar has clearly been very well cared for. The beige leather trim complements the exterior colour and she also has a full length Webasto sunroof. Supplied with a V5C registration document and a good history folder, this classically dynamic design is still a head turner. Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 2014 Renault Megane Renault Sport Trophy RS/S Transmission: manualMileage:1973Imagine a riot in four-wheeled form. While the regular Trophy already sports this car’s uprated 271bhp 2.0-litre turbo petrol and Akrapovic titanium exhaust, the R features expensive Öhlins adjustable dampers, exotic Allevard composite front springs and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres for extra handling. It is also almost 100kg lighter – so although Renault will let you option back the radio for £500 (the price including sat-nav for your trouble) that would be tangential to the spirit of the thing. The standard seats are also entirely absent – the fronts replaced by a gloriously focused pair of fixed-back Recaro buckets, the rears by a strut bar and shopping-saving storage nets. The Trophy-R is surprisingly refined at a cruise. Nail the accelerator, however, and like the R26.R before it, the combination of induction roar and Ti exhaust makes this incredibly distinctive scouring noise. Further popping and banging is also present and correct for all your tarmac rallying fantasy pleasure, the steering weight is meaty and accurate, and you get to change gear with a proper six-speed manual gearbox. Only 30 Trophy-Rs were offered for sale in the UK, out of a total production run of 250 – so it is rare as well as exceptionally rapid. Judged by lap times alone, this is the ultimate expression of Renault sport’s prowess. This superb example of this ‘wolf in sheep’s clothing’ has only covered a mere 1,973 miles from new and is presented in white with a black interior and forms part of a small private collection. The car comes with spare floor mats which are still in their original wrapping, factory ‘set up’ details so you can prepare the car correctly for wet/dry track days etc. As well as the usual Renault factory book packs, this car also comes with a scale sized helmet which is numbered according to the manufacture number of the car. An exhilarating coupé from the French car maker, which will surely require some skill to tame when unleashed upon a circuit. Superb!Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1991 Honda NSX Transmission: automaticMileage:34772The Honda NSX was produced between 1990 and 2005 and is equipped with a mid-engined, rear-wheel drive layout powered by an all-aluminium V6 featuring Honda's Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control (VTEC) system. In 1984, Honda commissioned the Italian car designer Pininfarina to design the HPX (Honda Pininfarina Experimental), which had a mid-mounted 2.0 litre, V6 configuration. Following Honda's decision to pursue the project, the management informed the engineers that the new car would have to be as good as anything coming from both Italy and Germany. The HPX concept car evolved into the NSX (New Sportscar experimental). The original performance target for the NSX was the Ferrari 328; subsequently revised to the 348 as the design neared completion. The bodywork design had been specifically researched after studying the 360° visibility inside an F-16 fighter jet. The car's strong chassis, rigidity and handling capabilities were the results of Ayrton Senna's input with NSX's chief engineers while testing the prototype car at Honda's Suzuka Circuit during the development stages. Today, the NSX is still considered by owners of the marque as one of the most reliable exotic cars ever manufactured with many examples comfortably exceeding 100,000 miles without serious reliability issues. This superb example is presented in black with a black leather and Alcantara interior which is in wonderful original condition. The car has covered only 34,772 Kms from new and is powered by the smooth 3.0 litre Honda engine which is mated to an automatic gearbox. The car was imported from Japan (as were many of these models) and has been lovingly looked after and lightly used ever since. It was purchased by the present owner in 2017 from a well-known garage in London. The car comes with its original Japanese history as well as a fully stamped service book from the UK and all MoT test certificates which confirms light and consistent use over the last few years. A recent service was carried out at a Honda main dealer which included a cambelt service. Its superb and totally relevant registration number is included with the car and it is fitted with a Global Telemetrics tracker which can be monitored via an app. This car is an appreciating classic that can be driven every day, without the problems associated with many classic sports cars. Equally capable of being driven from home to the shops on a Sunday morning, or a blast down to the South of France. The car has also recently undergone a meticulous and thorough detailing, which has resulted in it looking absolutely stunning throughout.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1963 Jaguar E-Type Series I Roadster (3.8 litre) Transmission: manualMileage:41419Introduced in 1961, the Jaguar E-Type caused a sensation when it appeared with its instantly classic lines and 150mph top speed. While, inevitably, the car's stupendous straight-line performance and gorgeous looks grabbed the headlines, there was a lot more to the E-Type beneath the skin. The newcomer's design owed much to that of the racing D-Type and, indeed, the E-Type would be one of the last great sports cars developed directly from a successful competition ancestor. Just as in the D-Type, a monocoque tub formed the main body/chassis structure while a tubular space frame extended forwards to support the engine. The latter was the same 3.8 litre, triple-carburettor, 'S' unit first offered as an option on the preceding XK150. With a claimed 265 horsepower on tap, the E-Type's performance did not disappoint. Mainly because it weighed around 500lb less than the XK150 but also, because aerodynamicist Malcolm Sayer used experience gained with the D-Type to create one of the most elegant and efficient shapes ever to grace a motor car.Delivered new in 1963, this wonderful matching numbers example is finished in the very elegant colour combination of British Racing Green over a tan leather interior and comes complete with the desirable factory hardtop. Presented in its original left hand drive guise, this E-Type is fitted with an aluminium dashboard and centre console. Professionally restored by marque specialists it has undergone a full bare metal respray as well as a complete interior retrim, including a new hood and, consequently, presents fabulously. During the restoration, this Jaguar was treated to an engine, gearbox, and rear differential rebuild undertaken by Rushton Engineering Ltd and as such is in very good order throughout. This very well-presented example comes complete with a history file detailing the restoration, many sundry invoices and the current UK registration document. The perfect candidate for those long-distance continental tours or that summer trip to the south of France.  Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 2009 Volkswagen Golf GTi Mk. 5 Transmission: automaticMileage:The Volkswagen Golf Mk. 5 was the fifth generation of the Volkswagen Golf and the successor to the Mk. 4. Sharing the Volkswagen Group A5 platform, it debuted at the Frankfurt Motor Show in October 2003 and went on sale in Europe one month later. The Golf Mk. 5 was replaced in 2009 with the Mk. 6. The GTI comes with VW's four-cylinder 2.0L Turbo engine (FSI) which gives it 197 bhp. Transmissions include a six-speed manual or six-speed DSG. The Mk. 5 is now regarded as probably the best incarnation of the legendary GTi after the original Mk. 1 of 1976-1983 and is fast acquiring modern classic status. This superb, very low mileage, one owner from new example of this iconic German ‘hot hatch’ is presented in white with grey GTi check cloth interior. It comes with electric windows, air conditioning and full Volkswagen service history with no fewer than 11 stamps in the service book. Its lively 2.0 litre turbo engine is mated to a six speed automatic DSG gearbox which provides great performance as one would expect from such a car. This is a practical sports hot hatch with five doors, with such incredibly low mileage and in this condition, it is surely one of best on the market today.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1990 Aston Martin Virage Transmission: manualMileage:38000Introduced at the 1988 Birmingham Motor Show, the Virage was Aston Martin’s replacement for the decades old V8 models. The Virage was launched as the top of the range car for Aston Martin. It is easy to see why this handbuilt, all aluminium V8 was king of the Astons. The 32 valve, 5.3 litre engine elevated the performance of the Virage to near sports car level. It was stated by Sports Car International on an early test that 'acceleration just never seems to run out' and they also praised 'the eager and quicker revving' nature of the engine, with its Callaway designed heads and Weber-Marelli fuel injection. They concluded that 'nothing sounds quite like an Aston V8'. This handsome Aston Martin Virage presents extremely well in British Racing Green over a cream leather interior and benefits from much renovation work over the years. More recently the car has been treated to an extensive engine rebuild and a front end rebuild including suspension components. Upgraded 18” alloy wheels have also been fitted and are shod with new tyres all round. The paintwork and interior are both in good order showing little sign of age and the engine sounds fantastic when on song. The history file that accompanies the car includes various sundry invoices, previous MoT test certificates and a UK registration document. These cars regularly require deep pockets when it comes to maintenance but this example having had a fortune spent on it is in very good order and we are sure will bring a lot of enjoyment for the new owner.Interested parties should note that the private registration plate shown is to be retained by the vendor and a new, age-related registration issued instead.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 2004 Bentley Continental GT Transmission: automaticMileage:85000Unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in 2003, the first-generation Continental GT differed from previous incarnations due to it no longer being a coachbuilt car. However, as a result, the price at launch was significantly less than the Continental R (approximately half) which exposed the car to a much wider customer base. Despite the lower price however, the new GT was still roundly well received with celebrities, sports personalities alike buying in droves due to the six litre, twin-turbocharged W12 engine with 552bhp coupled to opulent surroundings and an ultra comfortable ride. After all, this was designed to be a mile crunching continent cruiser and with that huge W12 engine coupled to a smooth six-speed automatic box distributed by the Quattro four-wheel drive system, it was equally at home in Mayfair as it was on the Autobahn where it was capable of an astonishing 196mph and a 0-60 time of just 4.7 seconds. The Continental offered the most comfortable way of reaching supercar speeds and, still to this day, is a fabulously capable GT.This example of an early GT is presented in Sapphire Blue over a cream hide interior and is finished with burr walnut wood trim. This Bentley boasts massage and heated front seats with electric memory, satellite navigation, electric folding mirrors and 19” alloy wheels. Offered with a stamped service history booklet, the last of which completed at circa 85,000 miles. Accompanying the Continental is an MoT test certificate valid until January 2022, various sundry invoices and the current V5 registration document. Continental GT's are incredible value for money and combine opulence with speed like no other, this example is without doubt very well priced and could represent fabulous value for money.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1963 Jaguar SS100 by Suffolk Engineering Transmission: manualMileage:9941The SS100 was built between 1936 and 1940 by SS Cars Ltd of Coventry, England. The nomenclature was to reflect the theoretical 100mph maximum speed and once approved by Sir William Lyons, the name 'Jaguar' was given to a new saloon version in 1936. Widely considered to be one of the most aesthetically pleasing Jaguar cars ever built, it is also one of the rarest with only 198 of the 2.5 litre and 116 of the 3.5 litre models being manufactured. Most stayed on the home market but 49 were exported. Cars in good condition will now regularly fetch in excess of £300,000. It is of little surprise, rather like its later stable mates, the C and D-Type, that those of us of a more impecunious persuasion looked for an alternative and a number of boutique car manufacturers then set about to feed this demand, supplying good quality recreations at a fraction of the cost of a real one.Built in 2006, this totally accurate recreation of the 1938 Jaguar SS100 is finished in Old English White with Connolly leather in Claret Dark Red with dark red Wilton carpets and sitting on 72 spoke stove, enamelled in Rosso Alfa Red, wheels fitted with Blockley high performance tyres. The engine is a Jaguar XK 3.8 litre engine fully remanufactured by VSE with a manual four speed with overdrive gearbox. Boasting balanced internals and fitted with lightened flywheel, twin 1 7/8-inch SU HIF carburettors, polished E-Type smooth cam covers engine fan and electric fan. When reimagined by Suffolk Sports Cars the rebuilt engine ancillaries included starter motor, alternator, distributor, water pump and a twin pipe stainless steel exhaust system being fitted. Also fitted were disc brakes, all as new, with adjustable shock absorbers on a six coil-spring suspension system, rack and pinion steering before finishing off with a louvered alloy bonnet.Offered with the side screens, tonneau cover, hood bag and fitted hood in double duck and with a heater and fan, this car is equally adept in inclement conditions. Supplied with the car is the history file which includes the build sheet and supplying invoice from Suffolk Sports Cars who also serviced the car. Registered as a 1963 Jaguar (Historic Vehicle) this is a superb example in condition tantamount to one having just been finished by Suffolk and with the value of the original cars soaring, great value for money.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1972 Fiat 500 Cabriolet Transmission: manualMileage:8900The Fiat 500 was produced between 1957 and 1975 with limited production of the Fiat 500 K Estate continuing until 1977. Despite its diminutive size, the 500 proved to be an enormously practical and popular car throughout Europe capturing the hearts and minds of the public. Launched as the Nuova 500, it was marketed as a cheap and practical town car. They only measured three metres long and were originally powered by a tiny 479cc two-cylinder, air-cooled engine, the 500 redefined the term 'small car' and is considered one of the first city cars.On a kilo for kilo basis, this fabulous little Fiat 500 Supern convertible must be about as much fun as any car can be and perfect for the small streets and summer motoring. A showstopper that the vendor informs brings people out of shops and restaurants to take pictures and elicits waves from just about every passing car. Finished in beautiful unmarked yellow paintwork, we are informed this car has been fastidiously rebuilt with the engine sporting 695cc and an exhaust note to turn heads. The conversion by Supern was carried out in Germany and coupled to a total engine rebuild with new pistons, sports camshaft, electronic ignition, reinforced driveshafts and disc brakes to ensure the lively performance is kept in check. This car is unique and will certainly be the centre of attention, no matter the Ferraris and McLaren’s are parked alongside. Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Lot 244

1988 Jaguar XJRS Le Mans Coupé Transmission: automaticMileage:22944The Jaguar XJS design, codenamed XJ27, started around 1965 with the first production car being sold in 1975. It was primarily designed by Malcolm Sayer with input and control from Sir William Lyons. Although the public assumed the Jaguar XJS was a successor to the very popular E-Type it was in fact intended to be very different. It would be comfortable and luxurious, less a sports car than a sports tourer. This allowed it to use the same suspension layout as the recently introduced and supremely cosseting Jaguar XJ6. Externally the Jaguar XJS is most noticeable for its ‘flying buttresses’, sweeping from the top of the rear roofline down to the rear of the wings. It also gave the quite large Jaguar XJS an excellent drag coefficient, better than the E-Type and allowing the XJS easily to attain over 150mphThis stunning, limited edition, XJRS was originally registered on 25th August 1988 and is a bespoke model produced by JaguarSport and Tom Walkinshaw Racing (TWR) Group to commemorate the marques triumph at Le Mans in 1988. Only 100 examples were built, this is number 22 and appears to be in original condition. Finished in Tungsten metallic with a cream Connolly leather interior, a burr walnut dashboard and sitting on the correct 15” JaguarSport alloy wheels. Standard equipment on these luxurious grand tourers includes electric seats with lumbar support, air conditioning and cruise control. This example is fitted with an original trip computer and Jaguar radio system. This extremely low mileage example is still sporting the original coachlines bearing the 1988 race winning XJR-9, this is a great indication of originality. The car is supplied with a V5C registration document showing only one previous keeper and an MoT test certificate valid until July 2021.The car has benefitted from a recent service and the rebuilding of the brake calipers. Given the mileage, condition and low ownership, this is a tremendous opportunity to purchase such a rare and well-preserved piece of Jaguar and TWR motoring history.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction.
