The Badminton Library issued 24 volumes on 22 different sports, for use of the general public who knew little or nothing about sports. Hutchinson was a wise choice by the editor to author the volume on golf, as he was already becoming one of the most prolific and knowledgeable golf writers in history. (4) 1938 German Third Reich, German Hunting Association, 50 Year Commemorative badge, white metal and green enamel disc inscribed, '50 Jahre - Deutsche Jaegerschaft Ostpreussen'. Maker's mark 'H. Wernstein - Juna'; a bronze SA Sports badge, with flat, straight pin, maker's mark for E. Schneider; a DLR Sports badge, bronze oval badge centred with entwined letters 'DLR' surrounded by a wreath of oak-leaves. Hollow back with flat, straight pin. Maker's mark 'H. Wernstein - Juna'; and a German Third Reich equestrian badge, a rider on jumping horse surrounded by oak leaves above the letter 'R'. Flat straight pin, maker's mark, 'L.Chr.Lauer - Nurnberg Berlin - Gesetzlich Geschutzt'. (4) Hermann Göring was appointed as Reichsforst und Jägermeister (National Forestry and Hunting Master) in 1933.

This VMCC eligible three wheeler has been restored from a basket case by a garage proprietor, and has been used to attend local classic car events, including Classics at Powderham Castle. The BSA is equipped with a 1075cc water cooled side valve engine, three speed gearbox, double transverse IFS and full electrics, including electric start. Now attractively finished in two tone red over cream with a red interior and black double duck hood, this rare and surprisingly quick three wheeler is offered for auction direct from a private collection with an accompanying history file. A 1974 Jensen-Healey Mk II, registration number VLN 703M, chassis number 14063, engine number A73094015, red. The Jensen-Healey was somewhat overlooked by the classic car world, until recently and now the market has become more aware of what a capable sports car they are. This example has been fitted with new sills, front wings and resprayed by a previous owner. The vendor, a collector from Devon, has recently tuned the twin Dellorto carburettors and advises us that the cam belt would benefit from being changed (new item supplied). A 1974 Buckler two seat sports special, registration number KFT 439, French blue. The vendor advises us that this handsome aluminium bodied special was constructed on what is believed to be a 1950s Buckler racing chassis in 1974. The special was subsequently rebuilt again in the early 1980s when the body was reconfigured into the boat tail body it sports today. The well equipped interior incorporates a fully stocked wooden dashboard and wood rim steering wheel. Power is supplied by a Triumph four cylinder 1140cc engine and the special has an outside handbrake and colour coded wire wheels. The vendor informs us that he has recently driven the special down from his home in Orkney, Scotland to Erdington, Birmingham without any issues. A 1950 Bentley Mk VI standard sports saloon, registration number PSY 736, chassis number B15JN, engine number B132J, body number 3700, Dark Oyster metallic over Georgian silver. This matching numbers Mk VI was originally supplied to its first owner S C Joseph Clifford Motor Components (Birmingham) Ltd in February 1950. The Bentley was finished in a most striking colour combination originally of Special brown with Special Dockers Oatmeal interior and carried the registration number LOB 44, as detailed in Bentley Mk VI by Bernard L King. The Bentley saw a programme of restoration through the 1990s to include an engine rebuild by S Brunt (Silverdale Staffs Ltd), a bare metal respray in its current colour combination by Mullacott Cross and a retrim in Oxford hide with matching carpets, new headlining and repolished wood work, more recently it has had a new clutch.
