SUNDERLAND Five items of memorabilia relating to Sunderland: Forty page final issue of "The Football Echo" dated December 2013 and issued to signify the end of the Sunderland Sports Paper which had published between 1907 and 2013, folded; small cloth bound Scout pass, 1956-57, "Sunderland A.F.C" in gilt on cover, signed by Manager Bill Murray; two season ticket books for 96/7, both with "Farewell to Roker Park 1898-1997" on front covers, pink book for Clockstand and purple book for Fulwell End; 28-page programme for Standard Liege v Sunderland, 3/10/62, Sunderland won 02-Jan with both goals scored by Clough, no writing. Generally good
1938 CUP FINAL Collection of newspaper match reports all relating to the 1938 FA Cup Final at Wembley in which Preston defeated Huddersfield with a penalty in the last minute of extra-time. Somewhat appropriately one of the papers is the Sunday Referee, others being Sunday Pictorial, News Chronicle and the Sunday Chronicle. Papers are not complete being the sports pages with the match reports therein. Some folds. Generally good
SCOTLAND SHIRT / WORLD CUP 1986 Scotland goalkeeping jersey given to the vendor, Frank Coulston who worked for the Scottish FA as a Development Coach. Previously Frank played for Partick Thistle and was a member of the team which defeated Celtic in the 1971 Scottish League Cup Final. This jersey was given to him by a Scottish player and is a silver grey goalkeeping jersey with number 1 on the reverse. The front sports a Scottish FA badge on the left breast and beneath is embroidered in white "FIFA World Cup Mexico '86". Dark Blue collar. Number 1 in the 86 Scotland World Cup squad was Jim Leighton who played for Aberdeen at the time. Generally good
WORLD CUP 1938 Four editions of the weekly French sports magazine "Miroir Des Sports" which cover the 1938 World Cup in France. They feature previews, reviews, pictures and reports from each game in the Tournament which ran from 4th to 19th June. The magazines are dated 31 May (also reviews the France v England Friendly), 8 June, 14 June and 21 June (extensive reviews of the Italy v Hungary Final). Generally good
UEFA SUPER CUP 1979 Barcelona v Nottm Forest, 2nd leg played 5 Feb 1980, copy of daily sports newspaper "El Mundo Deportivo" issued 6 Feb, includes full reviews, pictures and reports inside with team line-ups listed. No programme was produced for this game. Folded, slight marks. Generally good
