1971 Jaguar E-Type Series III Fixedhead Coupé Transmission: manualMileage:40755By 1970, the Jaguar E-Type was ten years old and needed a new lease of life. History repeated itself and it was a huge success when Jaguar debuted its robust V12 engine in a sports car instead of the saloon for which it was designed. Despite its sports-car heritage, Jaguar depended on saloon vehicles for its survival and had developed the 12-cylinder engine to power them with sufficient torque and refinement. Larger and softer in nature with weight redistributed 53/47, the Series III had lost the wilds of its youth but gained the long-legged touring profile to which it was arguably better suited. Robert Bell in Motor magazine was quoted saying at the time that all we expected to try was a new engine, but what in fact we drove was a new car. Not a yowling, aggressive Ferrari-like machine with which, perhaps, most people associate a V12 engine, but a very smooth, quiet and refined grand touring sports car.The example we have here really ticks all of the boxes, it is a home market, right hand drive example, supplied with a Heritage Certificate confirming it still wears its original colours, has always been fitted with the all-important manual gearbox and is matching numbers. The car is an extremely early Series III car, with the heritage certificate showing a build date of December 8th 1970.  The car underwent some comprehensive restoration work in the 1990's, which was slowly carried out between 1990 and 1998, with the car covering around 5,000 miles in-between. Some replacement panels were fitted during the work, which were all correctly lead loaded, the glass was all removed and the car was painted in two-pack paint, which has held-up exceedingly well and retains an excellent shine. The interior was also retrimmed at the time and was clearly finished to a particularly high standard because it could easily pass as a job which was carried out in very recent years. A vast amount of work was carried out to the suspension, braking and steering systems at the time, a new wiring loom in the engine bay and various other electrical jobs were attended to. A re-shimmed flywheel, a new clutch, new downpipes and a stainless steel exhaust system were also fitted, then the car was treated to Dinitrol rust protection upon completion. In short, almost no stone was left un-turned and the car still looks excellent today. In more recent years, the car has had new carpets, roof lining, air filters and alternator belts, various new hoses under the bonnet, exhaust and inlet manifold gaskets, new high torque starter motor and many other small items attended to.The car is supplied with a comprehensive history file, with 30 MoT test certificates dating back to 1976, by which point the car had covered 3,984 miles, showing a steady increase in mileage over the years and giving a huge amount of confidence that the indicated 40,000 miles would be accurate. The history file contains an original handbook, original workshop manual, original E-Type parts catalogue and many old tax discs and invoices. This is an excellent example of the increasingly popular Series III FHC E-Type, not overly restored to the point it cannot be enjoyed and presented in a particularly attractive colour combination. 2010 Bentley Continental GT Supersports Transmission: automaticMileage:22000Unveiled in 2003 at the Geneva Motor Show, the Continental GT was a different animal. The Crewe-built cars numbers were impressive with the twin-turbo, VAG 6.0 litre W12 engines, developed in the VW Phaeton and stillborn W12 sports car, producing 552bhp and 479lb ft torque. This prodigious output was fed through a six-speed automatic box from the new A8 and distributed by the Quattro four-wheel drive system. 0-60 in 4.7 seconds and a top speed of 196mph were significant for a car of this stature.  Some six years later, also in Geneva, Bentley unveiled their new 621bhp Continental Supersports which was indecently quick with 0-60mph in 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 204 mph, making it the fastest and the most powerful production Bentley ever. With a revised 'Tiptronic' automatic gearbox employing a 'quick-shift' system, gear change times were reduced by 50%. In order to cope with the increased power, it was necessary to have carbon fibre reinforced silicon carbide ceramic disc brakes - the largest and most powerful brakes ever fitted to a production car.As the Supersports evolved Bentley managed to accidentally create a very limited-edition car, the two seat examples were not selling as hoped because at the time most of the Bentley ownership comprised a demographic of drivers who wanted four seats and a softer ride. Enter the SuperSport 'comfort seat' option, a four-seat option that still gave performance, clearly not that of the two-seater but it gave a very clean way for Bentley to exit what appeared to be a fabulous car but not for their then customer demographic, thus leaving those with the full two-seat example with a low production car and now highly desirable. This stunning low mileage Bentley Continental Supersports is a 2010, UK supplied, right hand drive example finished in metallic Onyx Black with Beluga and Newmarket tan leather trim. Presented with a pair of heated, two-piece, carbon fibre sports seats and Breitling analogue clock sitting above the £5,000 uprated NAIM premium satellite navigation by Bentley Bristol. Upgrades by Bentley have not stopped there, originally a Bentley Pangbourne demonstrator car, as many options as possible were specified including a Bentley warrantied and fitted Acropovic exhaust system which was circa £7,000 alone and added between 7-12bhp along with an uprated leather steering wheel. Where rear passengers would normally reside, a carbon fibre cross-brace spans the cabin, generating torsional rigidity, showing the real intent of the 'Supersports', this is a rarity now as many cars were converted by Bentley to four seat cars to help sales. Sitting on 20 alloy wheels, the car is fitted with carbon-ceramic brakes, adjustable suspension and a host of other options making it, effectively, a very luxurious 'Group A Touring Car' for the road with incredible power.Boasting an all-Bentley main dealer history, the latest the larger of the scheduled. Supplied with its driver's manuals, service book, a UK V5C registration document, this fantastically quick car would put a smile on any driver's face. We welcome any inspection of this amazing, showroom condition, Bentley with the W12 cherished plate included in the sale. The car was MOT'd in late 2023 and was serviced in February 2024.Consigned by James Good.

Lot 209

1969 Jaguar E-Type Series II 'Semi lightweight homage' Transmission: manualMileage:71384Powered by the uprated 4.2 litre engine, compared to the 3.8 litre unit fitted to the previous model, the Series II E-Type offers longer legs for those continental drivers as well as offering a more practical sports car experience. Those classic E-Type styling cues though, are still very much present with that most beautiful of bonnet lines extending all the way back, taking in the fixedhead cockpit and ending in the beautifully curved rear end. Interestingly, the DNA from Sir William Lyons only extended to about 1,000 units of this model making it a rare iteration of this particular E-Type Jaguar. A culmination of a lifetimes experience and three years of painstaking attention to detail has resulted in what can be described as a true breathtaking one off example of the Series II E-Type, what can be referred to as loosely an homage to the Semi lightweight E-Type of the 60's this however in the vendors own terms was never intended to hold a likeness to any one car in particular but his own take on the perfect stance E-Type coupé. The result is part Eagle, Part Semi lightweight or low drag with widened arches and a race feel chrome bumper less example boasting a full roll cage and aluminium door cards that lean this towards track but could equally be softened with some carpeting and sound deadening to fast road. The original donor car was supplied to New York State in 1969 detailed in the British Heritage certificate and repatriated in 2015 back to the UK from the Beverley Hills Car club as found in a copy of the certificate of title alongside much of the original paperwork, which is still found in the history file. Our vendor, a skilled retired panel beater, purchased the car prior to the pandemic and the break in the worlds day to day jobs enabled him to take on and complete the project. Every panel has had some attention even if only to see the glass like new paint but features specifically such as the widened arches and deeper front set this apart from any regular restoration. The original, 4.2 litre engine having been rebuilt is largely standard but for triple Weber carburettors, alloy finned radiator, a one-off alloy header tank and braided hoses much supplied by RS Panels including bespoke LWE mud shields and stone guards. The wheels are 7€ Magnesium peg wheels to the front 8€ to the rear and hide larger 11 ¼ front discs so this stops as well as it goes and just encase coupled to the roll cage the car boasts Tillet Carbon GRP seats and TRS four-point harness. Supplied with a good history file with countless invoices from the build, coupled with its original book pack, Heritage certificate and UK V5 registration certificate. This example is light, fast and beautiful, one could say in its current state it is a piece of art and almost a shame to drive it in anger€¦but boy would we like to! Consignor Mathew Priddy

Lot 250

2006 Ferrari 612 Scaglietti €œFrom the Cheesbrough Collection€œ Transmission: automaticMileage:28152The Scaglietti 2+2 Coupé was penned by Frank Stephenson under Ken Okuyama at Pininfarina, and it is said that design, especially the strident side scallops and headlights, were a nod to the coachbuilt 1954 375 MM that film director, Roberto Rossellini, had commissioned for his wife Ingrid Bergan. The newcomer replaced the outgoing 456 but, being physically larger, was a genuine four-seat Grand Tourer. It was Ferrari's second all-aluminium vehicle and comprised of a spaceframe manufactured in conjunction with Alcoa, that was a combination of extrusions and castings to which the body was then welded. The same chassis formed the basis of Ferrari's 599 GTB flagship Grand Tourer. The front, mid-mounted, V12 powerplant was shared with the 575 Superamerica and was not six litres as the name suggests but 5.7, though big enough for a healthy power output of 533bhp and equally impressive performance figures, including a 0-62mph time of 4.2 seconds and a top speed north of the magic 200mph. A total of just 3,025 examples were manufactured between 2004 and 2011, all but 199 of which featured the F1A gearbox. This superb low mileage example is presented in Nero Daytona with black leather interior and comes with its original Ferrari leather wallet with all the manuals, including its service book which has all the servicing stamps from new to 2022 by HR Owen and Autofficina. Included in the history file are various invoices showing expenditure over the last few years and it has a current MoT test certificate which expires in September 2024. The condition of this fabulous Ferrari is exemplary with no visible signs of stone chips or scratches upon inspection. Offered with no reserve, this is a great opportunity to join the upper echelon of sports car owners worldwide. Consigned by James Good.

1967 Mercedes-Benz 230 SL Pagoda Transmission: automaticMileage:50000The Mercedes-Benz W113 roadsters, designed by Paul Bracq, were produced from 1963 through to 1971 with their distinctive 'Pagoda' hardtop roof giving them their contemporary nickname. All models feature an inline six-cylinder engine with multi-port fuel injection using a mechanical pump system adapted from the diesel engine. All are rear-wheel drive and are equipped with independent rear suspension, a feature that greatly improved road handling. It made its debut at the prestigious Geneva Motor Show in March 1963 where Technical Director Fritz Nallinger introduced it as follows, It was our aim to create a very safe and fast sports car with high performance which, despite its sports characteristics, provides a high degree of travelling comfort. Mercedes-Benz Chief Engineer Rudolf Uhlenhaut, who was as competent behind the wheel as most racing drivers, demonstrated the capabilities of the 230 SL on a tight short racetrack near Montreux in 1963 where he put up a best lap time of 47.5 seconds and, incidentally, out-performed Mike Parkes in his Ferrari 250GT.Originally registered on 1st January 1967 this delightful 230 SL Pagoda has been in our vendors tenure since October 2012. During his ownership the car has benefitted from regular servicing by renowned Marque specialist Roger Edwards of Amersham. Described as a very usable example, this classic Mercedes presents well in dark blue coachwork with a black leather interior. The car is offered to auction with a V5C Registration document, various bills and receipts and the all-important factory hardtop. Given the sensible estimate this car represents a good investment opportunity and offers tremendous fun. Consigned by Dominic Lake.

2008 Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano F1 by Pininfarina Transmission: paddleMileage:37600The lineage of Ferrari's most elegant 599 model, launched back in 2006, is practically regal if you trace its basic design to the 1960s and a heritage of beautifully-penned, front-engined, GT cars such as the legendary 250 SWB and its sister car, the Lusso. Fast dramatic machines with impossibly long bonnets followed chronologically then by the 275GTB Daytona and, more recently, the 550 and 575M. Such theatre, such art.It is little surprise then that the owners of these dynamic and vital examples approach their custodianship with a passion that is often overwhelming but always worthwhile and vital towards to the history of the marque. This car is presented in 'as-new' condition kept, as it is, in de-humidified car storage as part of an important private collection. Supplied by the factory in metallic black paintwork, professionally paint corrected with professional detailers and never driven in the rain.Back in 2022, it was the subject of a minor incident resulting in some quarter panel damage. The car was returned to Ferrari where full repairs took place and, needless to say, this was recorded with HPI as a matter of course although since then, all repairs have been double-checked by Autolign, professional detail assessors, and signed off as original and correct.Fully serviced by Ferrari throughout its entire life with its most recent service undertaken through Ferrari's new Power15 warranty, a new extended package which applies to vehicles between the expiration of the new vehicle limited warranty and fifteen years from the original date of sale, this took place in July of 2023 and included four new P-Zero tyres fitted to 20€ OEM Monolithic alloy wheels and new Scuderia shields as well as a brand-new Ferrari radiator costing in excess of £8,000. There are seven months left to run on the MoT test certificate. Braking comes through giallo fly carbon/ceramic brakes and, in fact, it's worth noting that this example has only ever been touched by Ferrari main agents since birth. The interior includes tan carbon Daytona sports leather seats with the extended carbon/leather pack with carbon steering wheel, LED rev. counter display, a leather headliner and back parcel shelf with straps as well as original Ferrari Becker radio/Satnav. All books are included, the keys are still in their leather pouch, the jack remains unopened and the tools are still new and safely ensconced in their leather pouch. Even the air-pump and charger still remain in place. Take your place in the driver's seat of one of Ferrari's rare front-engined, V12s amongst Maranello's other great designs, one of very few to ever to roll out from under that fabled red archway. 23/10/09  STRATSTONE FERRARI5,13129/10/10  GRAYPAUL FERRARI11,02425/7/12  LANCASTER FERRARI16,5088/3/13  JOE MACARI FERRARI17,98325/3/14  STRATSTONE FERRARI19,37017/5/16  LANCASTER FERRARI27,4007/7/17  GRAYPAUL FERRARI29,16521/8/18  GRAYPAUL FERRARI29,86521/9/20  DICK LOVETT FERRARI30,50331/8/21  DICK LOVETT FERRARI35,84025/7/23HR OWEN HATFIELD37,405Recently professionally detailed including ceramic coat protection system as detailed on YouTube by Birklean Detailing.Consigned by EJ Bridger-Stille

1962 Triumph TR4 Transmission: manualMileage:75331Produced between 1961 and 1967, the TR4 combined a new, modern and aggressive body design by famed Italian stylist, Giovanni Michelotti with the basic chassis of the previous TR3A. The TR4 also improved passenger comfort with wind-up windows, face-level ventilation and an optional hardtop. The 2138cc engine of the late-production TR3A continued while the 1991cc engine was also made available to buyers who wanted to participate in two litre racing. When equipped with the optional overdrive, the TR4 was good for a top speed of almost 110mph. Today, the four-cylinder TRs are among the easiest of post-war classic sports cars to own and maintain being supported by a multitude of component suppliers and other specialists.Purchased new by Alan Bates, renowned Jazz record producer, impresario and the man who launched the career of Jamie Cullum, this TR4 is finished in red with black trim and first registered to Mr Bates on 14th June in 1962. Mr Bates had worked previously with Jimmy Hendrix, Tina Turner, and Otis Redding, while working for Polydor records, but in the late 60's we are informed by his daughter that he took this left-hand drive example to Paris where he lived and worked for several years opposite the Moulin Rouge, running Riverside Records before returning with the car to Southwest London where it remained. Sadly, after his passing in January 2023, the car was left to his wife and now owner of 2063 WK, who informs us that the car has been dry stored under covers in the family garage for about a decade, however, it was subject to an oil change and run in the summer of 2017 by Mr Bates nephew. Recently the car has been discovered, removed from the garage and sent to NVS for a light recommissioning, new oil, fuel and plugs all fitted and the car, although would benefit from further recommissioning should the buyer wish to use it on the road, it now starts and runs on the turn of the key and rolling freely however will be required to be trailered away. One can only imagine the people who have been passengers in 2063 WK and the events it would have been parked outside, a car Alan could not bare to part with throughout his life and was fondly remembered by his family, but for further recommissioning a wonderful sports car with a nice provenance and just one previous keeper. 1936 Singer Le Mans Special Speed Transmission: manualMileage:Singers started as a bicycle maker and ventured as a motor manufacturer in 1905. They expanded and became the main challenger to MG in the thirties producing British Sporting cars. In the early 30's Singer designed a small two-seater sports the Nine with a 972 cc capacity engine. This proved successful and they went larger by producing the 1.5 litre six-cylinder triple carburettor car which could travel at 70 mph and was timed at 103 mph at Le Mans.Singer set up their own competition department in March 1933 and success followed including Le Mans, Brooklands, TT and RAC Rally with their 1.5 litre cars. Later they were a major player in the trials that were enormously important in the 1930's; London, Exeter, Lands End, London Edinburgh and the Scottish six-day trials. Aside from Singers sports car success, Betty Haig drove her 1.5 litre example to Berlin in 1936 and won the Olympic Rally and came home with an Olympic Gold medal! This wonderfully restored example of the iconic Singer Le Mans Special Speed boasts its original 1.5 litre six-cylinder engine and is one of only 71 examples ever built. Offered in very good order throughout the Singer is presented in black coachwork with black wire wheels over an interior which boasts black leather seats and carpets and a wooden dashboard, and benefits from two spare wheels with fitted tyres mounted at the rear. Previously the subject of an extensive restoration the Singer has more recently been treated to significant engine work and is reported by the vendor to be in excellent running order, and indeed on our inspection the engine fired up on first turn and sounded fantastic! Accompanying the car is a sizeable history file including copies of the original sales specifications, recent invoices, photographs during a race meeting in period, and photographs of the restoration process. In very good condition throughout the Le Mans Special Speed is eligible for many motorsport events including the Flying Scotsman and the Le Mans Classic and can also be enjoyed on the open road! 1953 Austin A40 Sport Transmission: manualMileage:The Austin A40 Sports debuted at the 1949 London Motor Show at Earls Court as a four-passenger, aluminium-bodied convertible variant of the Austin A40 carrying an Austin of England nameplate, bearing Austin's Flying A hood ornament, and designed and manufactured in conjunction with Jensen Motors. Production of the A40 Sports, which was intended as a sporty touring car rather than a true sports car began in November 1950 for model year 1951. By the time production ended in 1953, just over 4,000 had been manufactured. This lovely example was first registered on 11th of May 1953, some 70 years ago. Presented in white with a black hood, contrasting red trim with white piping, this 1200cc sports convertible presents very well and is a great running example of 50's sports touring. 1953 was the final production year for the A40 Sport and our vendor has cherished the four-seat convertible and expressed it puts a smile not only on his face when driving but on that of people that he sees. The aluminium body makes this a surprisingly sprightly example which is a great summer classic and offers that iconic 50's style. Consignor Mathew Priddy

1969 Porsche 911 Transmission: manualMileage:29288Manufactured between 1965 and 1969, the Porsche 912 was very much the entry level Porsche sports car. Although, for some time, considered the poorer relation to the 911, the 912 is a serious sports car in its own right. With aerodynamic lines, low weight and an efficient engine, the 912 demonstrated good performance, nimble handling and economy, resulting in initial production cars outselling the 911. The 912 won Car and Driver's 1967 'Readers Choice' Poll for its class, a popular choice for motorsport teams and a rally prepared 912 won its class in the 1967 European Rally Championship.Purchased as one of two early  Porsche’s from a deceased estate sale in South Africa, this fantastic 912 911 was subsequently imported to the UK and is now fully registered with the DVLA coming with its new V5C registration document and UK registration number MCK 434G. Clearly built with the racetrack in mind, the car sports a stripped out interior, bucket seats and rear roll cage. Lightness has also been ‘added’ through the use of some fibreglass panels. The engine  has been upgraded to Porsche’s famous flat-six, but the state of tune is unknown. Given that the car had been in storage for some time, it is fair to assume that it will require some recommissioning before hitting the track again. The vendor does report that the car runs, but has not taken any recommissioning work any further than that. Alternatively, the car would make a great candidate for restoration to factory specification, or alternatively as a ‘re-imagined’ 911 to the new owner’s specification.Supplied with a V5C registration document, this fantastic track focused 912 is ready to thrill once again, it just needs an enthusiastic new owner to give it a new lease of life. Consigned by Will Penrose.*Interested parties should note that contrary to the previous catalogue description, the chassis number for this vehicle shows it to have left the factory as a Porsche 912 rather than a Porsche 911, later being upgraded to 911 specification.

2013 Audi Q3 Quattro SE (2.0 litre) Transmission: automaticMileage:58000The car uses the Volkswagen Group A (PQ46) platform of the Volkswagen Passat B6, the same as the Volkswagen Tiguan compact SUV. The Q3 slots above the Audi Q2 subcompact crossover SUV. Compared to the compact luxury crossover SUV Q5 and mid-size luxury crossover SUV Q7, which are positioned more for family practicality and off-road performance, the Q3 is aimed as more of a lifestyle/sports automobile. Design and development began following board approval in the second half of 2007. Julian Hoenig's design was chosen for production and frozen in 2009.  The Q3 shares components, transmissions and engines with amongst other vehicles utilising the PQ35 platform, the Volkswagen Golf, Audi A3 and Å koda Yeti. This lovely example imported from Japan is presented in black with grey cloth interior. It was first presented as a concept car at the North American International Auto Show in 2006 and the production version was shown at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show. The Rapide name is a reference to the Lagonda Rapide, a four-door, four-seater saloon produced by Lagonda, now a part of Aston Martin. The new Rapide is the company's first four-door fastback saloon since the Lagonda which was discontinued in 1990. It is based on the DB9 and underpinned by the Aston Martin VH platform. 1972 Ferrari Dino 246 GT Transmission: manualMileage:21750The Dino, named in honour of Enzo Ferrari's son, was a brand for V6 engined Ferraris and the project that Alfredo 'Dino' Ferrari worked on before he died tragically of muscular dystrophy at just 24 years old. In order to homologate Ferrari's Formula Two entry in 1966, the FIA requested that 500 production cars were produced using the same V6 unit as the race car. The Fiat Dino was born using the two-litre V6 Ferrari unit which was later used in the early 206GT versions of the Dino. Ferrari used the mid-engined configuration that was working well for them in sports car racing for the new Dino and the prototype 206S was shown at the 1966 Turin show. The car drew a positive response and Ferrari put the car into production, making it the first mid-engined production Ferrari. A 2.4 litre version on a longer wheelbase, the 246GT, replaced the Dino 206 in late 1969. The beauty of a mid-engined sports car is the handling, as the improved centre of gravity lends itself to better road holding. A Ferrari Dino has great cornering ability and is an enormously fun car to drive. Our vendor purchased this example back in 1987 and has cherished it ever since. Work life and family life meant the car never got used as much as he originally intended, so it was stored away and used very sparingly over the years. The car spent around 20 years off the road from the mid 1990's, so in 2019 a thorough recommissioning process began. The work was entrusted to Modena Engineering, who from late 2019 until late 2023, went right through the car inspecting and replacing anything which had deteriorated whilst it was in storage. A total of £54,279 was spent and the car is now in fine fettle. The work began by draining and renewing all fluids, carrying out a compression test, carburettor strip down and refresh, replacement of all coolant hoses, fuel tank internal inspection, new fuel hoses, new spark plus and HT leads, ignition and fuel system checks, brake caliper overhauled, new water flow housing, a tidy up of unnecessary wiring from the car and lots of focus on wiring in general, four new brake discs and pads, new brake pipes, new headlamps, new exhaust manifold gaskets, new CV boots, new engine mounts, overhauled starter motor and alternator, re-chroming of bumpers, suspension inspection, new Koni shock absorbers, new bushes, suspension geometry setup, steering rack overhaul, new undertray, work to internal floor panel, outer floor sills, new gearbox sump gasket, gear change adjustment setup, timing chain tension adjustment, valve clearances checked and adjusted, new head studs, general engine bay tidy up where necessary with cam cover vapour blasted and returned to black, internal paint used for camshaft end plates and oil filler neck, new aluminium expansion tank, interior removed, floor panels cleaned, new underfelt fitted for floors and bulkhead, door lock and window adjustments and many many other small but labour intensive recommissioning jobs. The car is now supplied to auction in excellent condition, with what appears to be its original seats, excellent paint and the knowledge that an expert has recently been right through the car and it is now ready to be enjoyed. We do know that this car was originally built as a left hand drive example, delivered to its first owner in Italy, but has always been right hand drive during our vendor's ownership. The car is offered with a very attractive estimate for any Dino and will be supplied with a V5C registration document and twenty pages of invoices detailing the recent works undertaken. 1971 Porsche 911E Transmission: manualMileage:87800The Porsche 911 is the flagship car of the German manufacturer. It has a distinctive design, rear-engine, with independent rear suspension, an evolution of the swing axle on the Porsche 356. Since its introduction in 1963, the 911 has undergone continuous development although the basic concept has remained little changed. Throughout its lifetime, the 911 has been modified by private teams and by the factory itself for racing, rallying and other forms of competition and is among the most successful competition cars ever. The earliest edition of the 911 had a flat-six engine in the 'boxer' configuration, similar to the 356, air-cooled, rear-mounted and displaced 1991cc. It was mated to a four or five-speed manual 'Type 901' gearbox.Manufactured in October 1970 this 911E, originally shipped to the USA by Porsche Cars America where it was registered in 1971. Details from Mohr Sports Car Brokers indicate that the car when it left California for Belgium in 2014/15 had been fully restored and uprated, this included later green/black leather trim and an uprated engine to a 1973 2.4 litre S specification and was offered with the original engine in a crate with the sale. The original certificate of title from 2014 is still with the documentation and we can ascertain that the cars restoration included a repaint in the original 8080 paint code (Silver metallic), full retrim, gearbox rebuild and sports exhaust and Sekuritt glass all round with new chrome and very good panel gaps sitting on deep 6's Fuchs including the flat six spare wheel. The car was purchased by a Belgian whom then later that year offered the car for sale in this exact condition via the Hedingham Classics at the Castle auction at which our vendor purchased for £88,040. Belgian registered in 2015, under the skin was still the 2.4 litre uprated S specification engine with the original matching numbers engine, which was in need of rebuilding, giving the opportunity to return this car to its factory specification. After careful consideration he initially had the car fully retrimmed by Classic FX to original, as it would have left the showroom in 1971, including restoration of the genuine Recaro sports seats. Now invested in the car he took it to renowned specialists Redtek, air cooled 911 engine specialists, to fully rebuild and install the original engine to the car and fit new front and rear shock absorbers, all of which is supported by invoices in the history file. Since the full engine rebuild, which was under 1,000 miles ago (thus still considered being 'run in') the car has been maintained by Redtek/Nick Fulljames and presents as a fabulous example of a matching numbers fully restored 71 911E.Offered with original documentation from its purchase and export in 2014, through to all invoices from both Redtek and Classic FX coupled to an original 911E owner's manual, UK V5C and Porsche certificate of Authenticity, tool roll, jack and spare CDI box, this is a wonderful opportunity to own an iconic 911 in its factory specification, with viewing highly recommended. 1970 Porsche 911T Transmission: manualMileage:The original 911 series is often cited as the most successful competition car ever, especially when its variations are included; namely the powerful 911 derived 935 which won the 24 Hours Le Mans and other major sports car races outright against prototypes. The 911T was the first Porsche to receive the new Bosch K-Jetronic or CIS engine (Continuous Injection System) from January 1973 onwards. Often referred to as 1973 1/2, these T models produced 140bhp and also boasted the newer type standard H pattern (915) gearbox which, in tandem, provided a smooth yet powerful engine and proved great fun to drive. A contemporary Car and Driver extended road test concluded the base spec 911T was the better touring car, with the two fuel injected models being more difficult to handle in traffic and filled with mechanical noises. This stunning left hand drive, 1970 Porsche 911T coupé came off the production line in December 1969 and was first registered in Los Angeles, specified with an optional Blaupunkt stereo, leather steering wheel, and 911S oil tank and instruments. Owned for many years by a Mr Greg Craven in North Carolina, the 911 was imported to Europe in 2014 where it was the subject of a full body and mechanical restoration costing circa 50,000 euros, undertaken by Classic Car Services, under the watchful eye of Noel de Block, one of the leading classic car specialists in Belgium. The opportunity was taken to change the colour from burgundy, to the Porsche colour of ivory white. A full photographic record of the work that was undertaken can be seen on the Classic Car Services website (https://classic-car-service.be/porsche-911-t-karmann-coupe-1969/) and shows the high standard that it was completed to. Subsequently the Porsche was owned by Robert van Weelde, who amongst other things, played cricket for his home nation of the Netherlands! In the current vendors ownership, the 911 has been dry stored and resides in his private collection. The vendor reports that the original 2.2 litre engine offers plenty of power and the 911 drives very well indeed. In fantastic condition throughout the paintwork and interior are in very good order as is the engine bay, and underside. Maintained regardless of cost and following the extensive restoration this wonderful example is ready to enjoy. Offered with a history file including its current UK V5C registration document, previous MoT records, sundry bills, a photographic gallery of the restoration, and a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity confirming that it retains its original engine. A desirable five speed manual example of the early Porsche 911, fabulously presented. Consignor Daniel Godin

1936 MG PB Transmission: manualMileage:13872The MG P-type is a sports car that was produced from 1934 to 1936. This two-door sports car used an updated version of the Wolseley Motors-design and made overhead camshaft crossflow engine, previously fitted in the J-type Midget of 1932 to 1934, driving the rear wheels through a four-speed non-synchromesh gearbox. The PB produced from 1935 had a bigger 939 cc engine made by enlarging the bore from 57 to 60 mm and this increased the output to 43 bhp. Externally the versions are very similar, the main difference being the radiator grille, where the PA has a honeycomb and the PB has vertical slats. The other obvious difference is in the design and material of the standard dashboard. Just 526 examples of the PB were produced and in 1936 a supercharged MG PB driven by Andrew Hutchinson won the Limerick Grand Prix.First registered on 6th of February 1936 this PB is one of just 99 four-seat tourers manufactured by MG. The present owner purchased the car some nine years ago in 2014 and imported the vehicle back to the UK from Denmark, where it was exhibited in the Egeskov Classic Museum for over 12 years.Listed on the Triple M register €“ PB0631 /MMM867, since 2014 this example has been used regularly on regularity rallies (10) and charity tours (3) in the UK and Europe. Competitive results include three class wins in the RAC 1000 Mile Trial in 2015, 2016 and 2018 and overall winner of the Historic Endurance Rally Association (HERO) Summer Trial in 2019.In the last nine years over £40,000 has been spent on servicing and upgrades, much of this with pre-war MG specialist Andy King. Work done includes servicing and annual MoT's since 2017, and cylinder head and engine rebuilds including fitment of a Marshall type supercharger and a water pump, both options in 1936. Other additions include a mohair tonneau cover and hood, plus side screens, and running boards. An electric fan was fitted with conversion to waterless coolant. Additional work included a new clutch, an electric master switch and prop shaft fitment of Brantz sensor. The history file includes invoices and MoT records from 2014, a current V5 and history from 1972 to 1984 including details of the restoration/rebuild completed in 1977 by a recent secretary of the Triple-M Register.Offered with the MG Workshop Manual (M Type), an original MG Owner Instruction Manual (P and PB Series), and miscellaneous spares including starting handle, contactless petrol pump, 16-inch steering wheel, original fitment twin carburetors and inlet manifold, supercharger belts, ignition components and two aero screens (un-used).This is a rare, usable, and well-maintained example of the PB with a clear indication of the competitive nature of the car borne out by its results over the past decade.

1956 Bentley S1 Transmission: automaticMileage:18857Successor to the R-Type, the Bentley S1 was introduced in 1955 with a whole new chassis; the car's wheelbase had been extended 3 to 123, and the luggage compartment was expanded. The S1 had softer suspension than the R-Type, with electrically controlled rear shock absorbers. Brakes had been improved, and the steering was lighter. This model marked the final integration of Bentley with Rolls-Royce - the standard saloons were now entirely alike, but for grilles and badging. The British Magazine, the Motor reported a top speed of 103 mph and 0-60 acceleration of 13.1 seconds from a short-wheelbase S1 in 1957.Copies of the factory build sheets show that this Bentley S1 Sports Saloon left the works in March 1956. It is finished in dark green with a beige hide interior and was sold new via Murkett Bros Ltd of Bedford to first owner Sir Ronald Stewart, owner and Chairman of the London Brick Company. The DVLA records for this handsome Bentley show that a further seven owners have enjoyed the car. A Mr. Clasen of Eaton terrace was the owner between 1995 and 2007 during which time he spent over £27,000 servicing the car with marque specialists Frank Dale and Stepsons. Works included an engine rebuild in 2002 at 86,896 miles, a stainless steel exhaust, a rebuild of the rear axle and differential, a brake system overhaul and a front suspension rebuild. A subsequent owner had a Harvey Bailey handling kit fitted and in 2016 this striking British classic benefitted from new inner and outer sills, lower wing sections and some repairs to the rear chassis legs. Presented to auction with a V5c Registration document, lots of service receipts and in spite of exemption due to age, a valid MOT test certificate. Consigned by Dominic Lake.

1974 Lamborghini Urraco 250S Transmission: manualMileage:In the early '70s, the late Ferruccio Lamborghini had decided it was time to add a smaller model to the line-up that until then, only consisted of V12 engine cars. It was this decision that led to a V8 powered model being produced that was able to compete on the same level as the Ferrari Dino 246 or the Porsche 911, so, preliminary work began on a model that would become the Urraco. At the November 1970 Turin Auto Show, the first pre-production Urraco crafted by Marcello Gandini, designer of the Lamborghini Countach, went on display, showing off its handsome looks, angular frontage with pop-up headlights and large, wide opening doors. All-in-all a well-balanced car that, once you got to know it, was acknowledged as a true 'Raging Bull'. 1972 saw the improved two-door coupé, Urraco S introduced, utilising a full leather upholstery, powered windows that were now also tinted and an optional metallic paint coat available. The engine also received an update, and was fitted with new Weber 40 DCNF carburettors, capable of synchronous opening and high rates of flow making them ideal for highly tuned engines. This superb example of this rare Italian sports car is presented in Blue Tahiti with Senape leather/cloth interior. It was delivered from new to Achilli Motors in Italy and there is a Certificate from Lamborghini confirming the original car configuration (right hand drive) which is in the history file. The car was first registered in the UK in 1982 and was purchased by the present owner in 2008. The car benefits from air conditioning and electric windows and has been kept in long term, secure, dehumidified storage as part of a significant Italian car collection and used regularly. It has history going as far back as 1996 with specialists Colin Clarke and Emblem Sports Cars with a major service including cambelt change in 2017 at 15,843km with the current odometer reading 15,962 which is believed to be genuine. The owner has recently carried out a minor service, checkover and MoT which was done in February 2024. Everything works as it should we are informed and the car is featured in Landsem's 'The Lamborghini Urraco' and it comes with a fitted indoor car cover. A superb example of this sought after Italian marque which are becoming more difficult to find. Consigned by James Good.

1987 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Transmission: automaticMileage:108800Mercedes-Benz revived one of its most famous model designations of all time when it introduced the new 300 SL in 1985. However, on this occasion the newcomer was not a thinly disguised sports racer but the latest in a noble line of six-cylinder luxury Gran Turismos stretching back to the 230 SL of 1963 which was distinguished by its distinctive optional hardtop that earned the model its nickname 'Pagoda top'. When the Type 113 finally finished with the 280 SL in 1971, it was replaced by the V8 engined Type 107, there would not be a six-cylinder model in the range for a further nine years, this changed in 1980 with the launch of the new 280 SL. This used the same twin overhead camshaft engine as the other '280' models which gave 185bhp and a top speed of 127mph. When the 300 SL took over in 1985, it came with a single camshaft engine that produced a mere three horsepower more at the top end, the main gains over the superseded engine being a useful increase in torque and a marked reduction in fuel consumption. This lovely, UK supplied 1987 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL is presented in exceptional all-round condition, having been meticulously cared for and dry stored in a private collection for the past seven years and has only incurred minimal mileage. The paintwork finished in Champagne Gold with a matching hardtop is in very good condition throughout. The box pleated seats with eared headrests in supply perforated brown leather and is fitted with the optional rear seat in matching leather. The car has been fully maintained shown by the stamped service book with 23 stamps. Fully recommissioned in less than 1000 miles ago including the brakes fully serviced and reconditioned with new front callipers and new brake fluid. Fitted with 'Gullideckel' alloy wheels, this lovely 300 SL is supplied with a V5 registration document, an MoT test certificate which expires in May 2024, the owners' manual, fully stamped service book, a file containing the servicing invoices, two sets of keys and a updated Blaupunkt Memphis audio unit with Bluetooth connectivity. The timeless lines and design of the R107 SL series still looks elegant and contemporary, with this car's exceptional condition it is one to consider if looking for a very usable classic for the summer. 1950 Jaguar XK120 Roadster Transmission: manualMileage:32000The Jaguar XK120 was manufactured between 1948 and 1954; Jaguar's first sports car since the SS100, which ceased production in 1940. The XK120 was launched in roadster form at the 1948 London Motor Show as a show car for the new Jaguar XK engine. It caused a sensation thus persuading Jaguar founder and design boss William Lyons to put the car into production. The '120' in its name referred to its 120mph top speed which made the XK120 the world's fastest standard production car at the time of its launch. It was available in two open versions; first as the roadster then also as a drophead coupé from 1953 and also as a closed, or 'fixedhead' coupé from 1951. With an alloy cylinder head and twin side-draft SU carburettors, the double overhead-cam 3.4 litre straight-six XK engine was comparatively advanced for mass-produced units of its time. This same basic design of the XK engine, later modified into 3.8 litre and 4.2 litre versions, survived late into the 1980s.Manufactured in August 1950, this XK120 Roadster is one of the earliest XK's built in steel after the factory moved away from aluminium over an ash frame. Notable features indicating this as an early car include the separate chrome side lights, the lack of wing vents, the early 'studless' cam cover engine and tall carburettor dashpots. Built at the Browns Lane Jaguar factory in Coventry, the accompanying letter from Jaguar Heritage confirms that the car was sold directly and shipped to Brylaw Motors of Melbourne, Australia. The car remained in Australia up until the late 1980's when the owner, a Mr. Hall shipped the car back to the UK when his job for Coca-Cola took him from the South Pacific region to Europe. He later went on to become Vice President of Coca-Cola in Europe and presumably, this influenced the decision to move. The car boasts an impressive specification including a five-speed gearbox, telescopic shock absorber upgrade, polyurethane suspension bushes, aluminium fuel tank, electric Kenlow cooling fan, adjustable electric power steering, aluminium sports bucket seats, Brooklands wind deflectors, recessed Monza style fuel filler cap, bonnet strap and bonnet louvres. To add to all this, the car has also benefitted from recently being repainted to a high level in British Racing Green and retrimmed in tan leather. The vendor reports the car to run and drive very well and is only offered for sale to fund a new acquisition.Supplied with a V5C registration document and file of receipts amongst other information. The Roadster version of the beautiful XK120 has always been the most coveted of the XK120 line up and to find such an early car with subtle, but practical modifications is a rare find. 1997 Honda NSX Transmission: automaticMileage:65000The Honda NSX was produced between 1990 and 2005 and is equipped with a mid-engined, rear-wheel drive layout powered by an all-aluminium V6 featuring Honda's Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control (VTEC) system. In 1984, Honda commissioned the Italian car designer Pininfarina to design the HPX (Honda Pininfarina Experimental), which had a mid-mounted 2.0 litre, V6 configuration. Following Honda's decision to pursue the project, the management informed the engineers that the new car would have to be as good as anything coming from both Italy and Germany. The HPX concept car evolved into the NSX (New Sportscar experimental). The original performance target for the NSX was the Ferrari 328; subsequently revised to the 348 as the design neared completion. The bodywork design had been specifically researched after studying the 360° visibility inside an F-16 fighter jet. The car's strong chassis, rigidity and handling capabilities were the results of Ayrton Senna's input with NSX's chief engineers while testing the prototype car at Honda's Suzuka Circuit during the development stages. Today, the NSX is still considered by owners of the marque as one of the most reliable exotic cars ever manufactured with many examples comfortably exceeding 100,000 miles without serious reliability issues.Originally registered on 14th January 1997 this UK supplied right hand drive automatic example is presented in the rare colour combination of Charlotte Green Metallic with biscuit leather trim. A well maintained example owned by our vendor whom is a collector of Honda's flagship 90's sports cars having another three in the collection. Offered to auction with the cherished number E5 NSX this car has also been treated to recent new tyres, an MoT certificate valid until January 2025 and in 2023 it had a major service before January this year having another annual service with Honda Cardiff, with two-year intervals and comparably cheap servicing and maintenance costs making this an incredibly frugal iconic sports car to own. Boasting a relatively low 65,000 miles from new this NSX has just about been run in and offered in a very attractive and rare colour combination presents as an attractive collectable example. 1997 Rover Mini John Cooper Sports Touring Transmission: manualMileage:63000When it was launched in 1959 the Mini became an instant favourite at every level of society, and soon became a motorsport champion across multiple racing genres, partly thanks to John Cooper Garages, who having homed their skills in Formula 1 began modifying the car for more performance, becoming an authorised upgrade from the factory. By the 1990s there were glossy brochures showing all the available options for upgrading your Mini with Cooper Garages while keeping your new car warranty, whether you wanted cosmetic, interior, handling or engine upgrades, Cooper had you covered so you could make the infinity customisable Mini as individual as you wanted. The Sport 5 was a conversion offered by John Cooper Garages, which boosted power to 86bhp. This version featured, as standard, a five-speed Jack Knight Designs gearbox, which helped to maximise the extra performance of the reworked engine. The Mini Cooper S Touring was virtually the same as the Sport 5, both conversions added unique side decals and other exclusive details. These conversions could also be fitted to non-Cooper MPi Minis and limited editions, although the majority were added to Cooper models. Both conversions were approved by Rover as factory conversions in 1999.This 1997 Sports Touring presented in British Racing Green boasts the five-speed Jack Knight Designs gearbox and upgraded power unit from John Cooper Works. The optional John Cooper deep leather bucket seats adorn the interior as does the leather door cards, sunroof and wood veneer trim finish. Supplied with the bookpack and importantly conversion certificate, this example was put into storage in 2016 as special Mini prices began to increase and has been fully recommissioned this year. The odometer has been changed but this was denoted correctly on the MoT test certificate with the true mileage 63,000. Offered with an MoT test certificate and those iconic Mini spotlights, this is a fast, rare, iconic and yet luxury 90's Mini we think certain to appreciate in value with just three former keepers. 1990 BMW M5 Transmission: manualMileage:275473Just like the Jaguar Mk. II had done in the 1960's, the BMW M5, effectively reinvented the popular notion of a sports Saloon. Based on the E34 chassis which was produced at BMW's Dingolfing plant. The E34 generation of the M5 was produced from September 1988 to 1995. It was hand-built at BMW M GmbH in Garching, Germany. Assembly was carried out either by a single M employee or a team of M employees and generally took about two weeks. In the second half of 1991, engine displacement was increased to 3.8 litres with the S38B38. Power was now increased to 335bhp and the E34 M5 was the last M5 to feature an engine with a historical link to a BMW Motorsport racing engine. An E34 M5 was raced in the Australian 1992 Bathurst 12 Hour Production Car endurance race, placing 2nd overall and 1st in class. It was driven by former F1 champion Alan Jones, Neville Crichton and BMW Touring car driver, Tony Longhurst. This E34 M5 comes to us from a significant collector of classic cars. Presenting well with good black coachwork, the black leather interior is also in good order. Clearly this has been a well-cared for car taking into account the condition and the age of the car. We are advised she drives well although has been used sparingly of late. Having been imported from the Netherlands and in left hand drive guise, this BMW is UK registered, coming with a V5C registration document and we are advised will be presented for an MoT test prior to the auction. Few cars are as exciting to drive as an E34 M5, a saloon car with, by any standards, brisk performance. This is a well-presented example of one of the most iconic cars of the period. 1969 Ford Cortina Mk.II 1600E Transmission: manualMileage:40948The second incarnation of the Cortina was designed by Roy Haynes and was launched on 18th October 1966. One of the best loved versions of that Cortina appeared in 1967, the 1600E, which was introduced at the Paris Motor Show in October of that year. The mechanical specification included an 88bhp, 1600cc Cortina GT engine which achieved a fuel consumption of 25 miles per gallon. The 1600E interior came equally well equipped and included special rear bucket seats, reclining front seats, sports steering wheel, extra instruments and wood trim. Production ended in 1970 and, despite attempts at reviving the idea of an 'Executive' version of other, later models, Ford never recaptured the original feel of the Cortina Mk. II based 1600E. For 1969, the Mk. II model was given subtle revisions with separate 'FORD' block letters mounted on the bonnet and boot lid, a blacked-out grille and chrome strips above and below the rear lights running the full width of the rear panel on the Series II.This fabulous example of the much loved 1600E is presented in white with black well-kept trim both surmountable with the age and mileage.  First registered on 6th March 1969 to the original owner who was a  lady in Dorset and  we are informed that this car spent much of its life as a local runabout before slowly becoming resigned to the garage as a new car took over. After a few years and looking sorry for itself,  we believe the owner decided to trade it to a local garage, naturally they didn't register it to themselves and decided to clean, service and give it a new lick of paint, once completed they then put it on the forecourt where by chance the lady owner drove past and saw it, fell in love all over again and insisted she purchased it back! Back in her ownership where it remained until 2012,  when in her older years the car had to be sold to our now owner and enthusiast. Naturally for a period of its life,  the car had been in little or at best, local use, so the mileage is incredibly low for a 54 year old car and in the history file is a letter from the original owner warranting the mileage on the 1st October 2013 coupled to original service and handbooks and sales brochure. More recently the car has undergone a full recommissioning and service which included new hoses, clutch master and slave cylinder, a full service and fully recommissioned brakes for which invoices can also be found in the history file. 1988 MG Metro Transmission: manualMileage:19279The MG Metro was introduced in May 1982 some 18 months after the closure of the MG factory at Abingdon. MG's first attempt at the then new 'hot hatch' era, it was the perception of many manufacturers that most car buyers were concerned, open top two seat sports cars were something from the past. The MG Metro boasted some quite positive features for the day including the standard use of powerful servo assisted brakes using four-pot calipers up front, very competitive performance and superb economy courtesy of the responsive and well proven A+ series engine. With around 120,000 made between 1982 and 1990, most are of the facelift variant launched in October 1984 where the bonnet line was lowered and streamlined, and a new interior and dash moulding was introduced. This lovely, rust free 1988 MG Metro is completely original and is believed to have covered less than 20,000 miles from new, this would seem to be correct by its lovely condition and the MoT history going back to 2006. Finished in black with the original side decals and grey cloth seats it has the correct red carpets and seat belts. This MG Metro is supplied with a V5 registration document and an MoT test certificate which expires in February 2025. This is an iconic car which is being offered at no reserve. Price guide £6,000-£9,000. Consignor John Tomlin.

1988 Porsche 944 Turbo SE Transmission: manualMileage:91684The Porsche 944 was built from 1982 to 1991 and was built on the same platform as the 924. It was intended to last into the 1990's but major revisions planned for a 944 S3 model were eventually rolled into the 968 instead which replaced the 944. In 1988, Porsche introduced the 944 Turbo S with a more powerful engine 250bhp 258 lb‹…ft of torque at 4,000rpm. This higher output was achieved by using a larger KKK K26-8 turbocharger housing and revised engine mapping which allowed maintaining maximum boost until 5800rpm, top speed was factory rated at 162mph. The post 1985 cars, turbos and S variants are considered more desirable than the earlier cars, having improved interiors, suspensions and engines, together with a limited slip differential and larger brakes. The example we have here is believed to be one of only 70 UK supplied Turbo SE derivatives and is believed to possibly be unique in its specification of Guard Red with Beige Porsche script interior and no sunroof. The Turbo SE is equipped with 'M030' sports suspension, uprated brakes and 'M220' limited slip differential, meaning it is truly built for the drivers and offers far better handling than a regular Turbo. The car has had ludicrous amounts of money spent on it in recent years, the previous owner spent £19,841 at Porsche Hatfield in July 2021! The work undertaken was quite clearly very extensive and amounts to 10 pages of invoices, including a brand new steering rack, new brakes, new exhaust muffler and many more Porsche parts, the final total would suggest they were told to go right through the car and make sure it was 'spot on'. The engine had a rebuild in 2017 due to some damage found on the cylinder head due to a head gasket failure, which resulted in the decision to carry out a rebuild which totalled £11,600! Less than 10,000 miles have been covered since. Our vendor is the MD of a very highly regarded bodyshop and he had his team strip the car right down and carry out a full respray to a very high standard, as his intention was to keep the car for a long period of time, but circumstances have since changed. As a result, the car now presents in excellent order throughout and the exterior is very hard to fault, the work carried out totalled circa £15,000. The interior is likely all original and is in excellent shape, with some minor wear to the drivers seat base bolster, but nothing which would cause too much stress. The car was recorded as a Category C in 1998, when values would have been particularly low. The vendor said that during the strip down and re-paint, they found that a repair had previously been made to the rear left corner of the car, which looked to have been carried out to a high standard in the first place. The team made sure the car was all straight and correct and with all of the money that has been lavished upon this car in recent years, it's distant past becomes largely forgotten and the car is now one which can be used and enjoyed safe in the knowledge that almost every area has been attended to in the not so distant past. Supplied with a V5C registration document, MoT test certificate and a comprehensive history folder, this exceedingly rare Porsche is offered with no reserve and should not be missed. Consignor Fraser SmithGuide: £15,000-£20,000

1971 Porsche 911T Transmission: manualMileage:89170The original Porsche 911 was introduced in autumn 1963 and was manufactured and continuously developed until 1989. It was then succeeded by a modified version, internally referred to as Porsche 964, but still sold as Porsche 911, as are current models. Mechanically, the 911 was notable for being rear engine and air-cooled and, from its inception, the 911 was modified both by private teams and the factory itself for racing, rallying and other types of competition. The original 911 series is often cited as the most successful competition car ever, especially when its variations are included; namely the powerful 911 derived 935 which won the 24 Hours Le Mans and other major sports car races outright against prototypes. Early 1970's models are perhaps some of the most sought-after, with the narrower bumpers which are especially popular and deemed more attractive on the early 911 with a style that modern 'restomod' or backdated styles such as Singer replicate. This example was purchased by our vendor from Japan in 2020 and it made the perfect candidate for a sympathetic restoration given how good of a starting point it already was. It is understood that the car was originally an Irish Green example but at some point had been repainted in white, so a full bare metal respray was undertaken, with photographs documenting the process. The body has been finished to an excellent standard. The interior also presents in fantastic condition, with a brand-new pair of Cobra Stuttgart seats trimmed in black vinyl and black corduroy, which suit the car perfectly. A new headlining was fitted along with new carpets and many other parts all leading to a car which presents superbly throughout. Our vendor has owned a large number of Porsches over the years and decided after driving the car that the engine performed exceptionally well and did not require any further attention. The car is supplied with an MoT test certificate valid until June 2024, a V5C registration document and many invoices for various parts throughout the build process. This is an excellent example of an early air-cooled 911 and is offered without reserve. Consignor Fraser SmithGuide Price £50,000-£60,000

1956 Jaguar XK140 Fixedhead Coupé Transmission: manualMileage:16419The Jaguar XK140 SE Fixedhead Coupé was a sports car produced by Jaguar Cars between 1954 and 1957. It was an updated version of the previous model the XK120, with several improvements including more interior space, improved brakes and steering, and a revised suspension system. The SE version was even more powerful, with a C-type cylinder head and dual exhaust system, producing 210bhp. The XK140 SE Fixedhead Coupé was a stunning car to look at, with its sleek and aerodynamic design. It featured a long bonnet, flowing wings, and a curved roofline that gave it a sporty and elegant look. The interior was equally impressive, with leather seats, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, and a stylish dashboard. With its powerful engine and agile handling, the XK140 SE Fixedhead Coupé was a joy to drive. It could accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in around eight seconds and had a top speed of 125 mph, making it one of the fastest cars of its time. It was also a comfortable and refined car to drive, with a smooth ride and excellent noise insulation. This loverly Jaguar XK140 Fixedhead Coupé was first registered on the 22nd June 1956. The car was originally painted in Pearl Grey, as confirmed in the original buff log book. The car has been subject to a couple of cosmetic restorations and 'Special Equipment' upgrades including knock-on wire wheels, twin fog lamps and windscreen washers, the car is also fitted with a dual exhaust system. The unique feature of this XK140 by far is the non-factory sunroof that would have been fitted shortly after the car was built. This is an exceptionally rare, period modification to be found on XK`s and we are told is waterproof! Many enthusiasts have pointed out that they have never seen such a sunroof in metal on a XK140 and only one ever on a XK150. The car has a vast history file with invoices dating back to 1987. A bare metal respray to red was carried out on the car in 2003 totalling around £42,500 and there are photographs on file showing this process. The car was then most recently restored again in 2017 to return the car to it's original specification, being painted Pearl grey and an expensive retrim in blue leather. The car has benefitted from continuous expenditure on it in the last 30 years on top of these restorations, the latest carried out in late 2023 when the rear brakes were overhauled, and the front brakes uprated to disc brakes. A delightful car offering the best of both worlds with almost open-air motoring for those summer days and closed for those chilly autumnal days.

1983 Maserati Merak SS Transmission: manualMileage:51000The Maserati Merak was introduced in 1972, essentially a lighter version of the Maserati Bora. It substituted an all-new Maserati designed quad-cam, three litre, V6 motor for the Bora's larger V8; resulting not only in a lower cost but with room for a small back seat and better handling due to lower weight and a better front/rear weight distribution. Aesthetically, the Merak differed from the otherwise very similar Bora; mainly in sporting open flying buttresses instead of the Bora's fully glassed rear, the mid-engine Merak used the Bora bodyshell but the extra space offered by the smaller engine was used to carve out a second row of seats suitable for children. As with the Bora, certain Citroën hydraulic systems were used such as the brakes, clutch, and headlight pods. This superb example of this sought after Italian sports car is presented in Celeste Chiaro with blue leather interior. This was one of the very last chassis numbers built and was registered in August 1983. It was specially ordered from new with metallic paint, black carpets, black leather centre console, electric windows, air conditioning, Campagnolo wheels and Dynatrol rust treatment. The present owner purchased the car in 2004 and has had it stored in a dehumidified storage facility as part of his significant Italian car collection, using the car regularly. It's history which goes back as far as 1987 including invoices with work carried out by Emblem Sports Cars and Bill McGrath who fully recommissioned the car when the current owner purchased it. The history file also contains full Maserati Classiche documents, original 'End of Line' data sheet, road test document and delivery note to Modena Concessionaires Ltd in the UK. This Maserati has just had a recent minor service, checkover and MoT which was carried out in February 2024. This car is featured in Maserati €“ the Citroën Years by Marc Sonnery (copy included) and the car comes with a fitted indoor car cover. Consigned by James Good.

1960 MG A Roadster (Twincam) Transmission: manualMileage:Arguably one of the prettiest British sports cars ever built, the 'A' must have come as quite a shock to MG aficionados when it was first shown to the world in September 1955 at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Having become accustomed to the pre-war look of the company's sports cars, it was a complete departure in styling and its beautiful streamlined body was right up to the minute in terms of appearance. Powered by a new engine; MG had decided that the old XPAG unit had had its day and so introduced a much more modern B Series engine that had made its debut in the recently announced Magnette Saloon. The car's design dates back to 1951, when MG designer Syd Enever created a streamlined body for George Philips' TD Le Mans car but it was worth the wait for this timeless beauty.Originally built as a left hand drive export car to the US, this MGA was repatriated to the UK in 1990. Upon returning to the UK the car underwent a body-off restoration and was converted to right hand drive guise. The engine was removed and a 2.0 Litre Rover 200 T-series, M16T twincam, 16 valve unit was fitted, producing circa 200 bhp. A five-speed gearbox was also fitted, along with coilover front suspension and uprated brakes including a servo. This handsome MGA is also fitted with 72-spoke chrome wire wheels and leather seats. An impressive history file, dating back to 1983 comes with this MGA as does a V5C registration document and a Heritage Certificate. The phrase that comes to mind is 'a wolf in sheep's clothing'. This lovely MGA is ready to enjoy straight away, either on rallies or local jaunts, who's going to be lucky enough to enjoy it? Consignor Stewart Banks

1964 Jaguar Mk. X (3.8 litre) Transmission: manualMileage:36000The Jaguar Mk. X was the top of the range saloon built by the British manufacturer primarily aimed at the US market. The unitary construction body-shell was codenamed 'Zenith' during development and this floor pan continued in production long after production ended. The interior was the last Jaguar with abundant standard woodwork, including the dashboard, escutcheons, window trim, a pair of large book-matched fold-out rear picnic tables and a front seat pull-out picnic table stowed beneath the instrument cluster. It was also the first Jaguar saloon to feature independent rear suspension and differed from earlier large Jaguar saloons in having 14 wheels instead of the more common 15. The car initially featured a 3,781cc version of Jaguar's XK in-line, six-cylinder engine. For the London Motor Show in October 1964, the enlarged 4,235cc unit took over although the 3.8 litre unit could still be specified until October 1965. Stopping power for this heavy car came from servo assisted disc-brakes on all four wheels; power assisted steering was standard.Presented in Silver metallic with sumptuous red full leather interior, this example was first registered on 1st August 1964 and specified with the rare and desirable manual with overdrive gearbox. Owned from new for some 43 years, this example has had just one former keeper. Since 2007 the car has been well maintained and now boasts an upgraded XJ6 series III gearbox with synchromesh on all gears, full stainless steel exhaust built by Ian Stewart, 3-2-1 distributer, new electric fuel pump and sits on a matching set of Michelin tyres. The history file shows that in February 2023 the car benefitted from recommissioning work including service and brake service. The history file is comprehensive with significant history dating back to 1964, also supplied with the Jaguar 3.8 Mk. X service manual, spare tyre, jack, toolkit and a period look uprated radio and rear picnic tables. The Mk. X is a wonderful car that was utilised by celebrities and gangsters alike and today is still an imposing classic which has proved to be very collectable and with a sports exhaust and triple carburettors it provides great performance while ample space for the family€¦or friends. 1995 Porsche 968 Sport Transmission: manualMileage:100036The UK-only version called '968 Sport' was offered in 1994 and 1995, it formed part of the run of 1,923 968 ClubSports produced by Porsche in that period. Although badged as '968 Sports' in the UK, all are genuine 'ClubSports' with the luxury package option, which included electric front windows, rear seats, a sunroof and other 'refinements' such as cloth comfort seats (different from both the standard and the ClubSport). With the added electrics, the larger wiring loom was used and the Sport variant also got back the two rear seats, again in the cloth material specific to the Sport. This 968 Sport was originally registered on 3rd February 1995. It has in recent times been modified for track use, although it is still road legal. Fitted with a welded-in half rollcage from Rollcentre Racing, and a Momo Racing Line steering wheel and an under bonnet torsion bar. Finished in the Rothmans/Porsche livery this Porsche is certainly an eye-catching example. Under the bonnet is the 3.0-litre 16-valve inline-four, which produces 237bhp and drives the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission. Amongst the car's other performance modifications are a stainless-steel exhaust, uprated M030 anti-roll bars, Gaz adjustable coilover dampers, 993-turbo specification 'Big Red' front brakes (CompBrake) and longer front wheel studs, allowing spacers to be fitted if required. Supplied with a V5C registration document, we are advised the car will be presented for an MoT prior to auction. A selection of invoices come with the car confirming the timing belt was last changed in 2018 in November 2018 by Ninex Motorsport. More recent work has been carried out by marque specialist RSR. This Porsche 968 Sport is a tastefully modified example of the sought-after UK-market sports car, with eye-catching livery. It is offered in entirely usable condition and would make a fine entrant for track days thanks to its various motorsport-focused enhancements. Consignor Stewart Banks

1964 Mercedes-Benz 230 SL Pagoda Transmission: automaticMileage:97669The Mercedes-Benz W113 roadsters, designed by Paul Bracq, were produced from 1963 through to 1971 with their distinctive 'pagoda' hardtop roof giving them their contemporary nick name. All models feature an inline six-cylinder engine with multi-port fuel injection using a mechanical pump system adapted from the diesel engine. All are rear-wheel drive and are also equipped with independent rear suspension, a feature that greatly improved road handling. These SL's were typically sold with a soft top and an optional removable hardtop; the so-called 'Coupé/Roadster' configuration. The 230 SL made its debut at the prestigious Geneva Motor Show in March 1963 where Technical Director Fritz Nallinger introduced it as follows, It was our aim to create a very safe and fast sports car with high performance which, despite its sports characteristics, provides a high degree of travelling comfort. Mercedes-Benz Chief Engineer Rudolf Uhlenhaut, who was as competent behind the wheel as most racing drivers, demonstrated the capabilities of the 230 SL on a tight short racetrack near Montreux in 1963 where he put up a best lap time of 47.5 seconds and, incidentally, out-performed Mike Parkes in his three litre V12 Ferrari 250GT. This example was imported and first registered in the UK in January 2014 and was acquired by the current vendor since 8th June 2015. Residing in the current vendors private collection this 230SL is presented in green paintwork over a tan leather interior and has been maintained where necessary. Offered with a history file containing various sundry bills and invoices and the current UK registration document. This is an opportunity not to be missed. Consignor, Daniel Godin
