THE FOLLOWING LOT RELATES TO THE PLAYING CAREER OF 1966 WORLD CUP WINNER ALAN BALL. A WHITE ENGLAND INTERNATIONAL SHIRT No.7, with crew-neck collar and embroidered cloth badge, areas of pitch staining front and back; a menu for the dinner were the shirt was purchased in a charity auction,1/12/88, the front cover autographed by Tommy Gemmell, John Grieg; and a Scottish Region Sports Dinner Menu Card, from 1995, the front cover signed by Alan Ball (3). The above shirt was worn by Alan Ball and gained by Tommy Gemmell as a swap after the International match against Scotland played on 15th April 1967 at Wembley, with Scotland defeating England 3-2. Tommy Gemmell donated the shirt to a Charity Auction in 1988 were it was purchased by the current vendor
A Victorian two-handled silver trophy cup, by Matthew William White, London 1888, on a spreading circular foot, embossed foliate decoration and borders, angular handles embossed with leaves, inscribed "Brooks Memorial Golf Trophy Presented by the late Mr F H Brooks, joint founder in 1920 of Lloyds Bank Sports Club (Bournemouth & District)" height to top of handles 38cm, approx weight 45oz.
