A 1975 Honda 400/Four Super Sports, registration number KME 39P, frame number CB400F-1045052, engine number CB400F-E-1042125, red. The middleweight 400/Four was one of Honda's most successful machines of the 1970s. They appealed to mature riders and were in affect a scaled down version of the iconic 750/Four. This example has had one previous owner prior to the vendor purchasing it in 2013. It had covered a mere 4,730 miles when purchased and had been in storage for a number of years, now the odometer reads less than 5,500 miles. The vendor has recommissioned the motorcycle and it passed its MOT without advisories in April 2016. The Honda comes to auction with an original owner's manual, previous tax discs and sundry paperwork. This very original Honda is now ready to be enjoyed by a new owner. V5C, MOT to April 2017 See illustration

The work included: frame stripped and powder coated, engine rebored using Royal Enfield piston, new main and big end bearings, new valves, tank and mud guards painted and gold leaf lined, new clutch, relined brakes, new chains and new tyres. Since restoration the Sunbeam has covered around 1,000 miles and remains in good riding order. It runs on CR for that unmistakable pre-war aroma.
