Upgrades included more interior space, improved brakes, rack and pinion steering, increased suspension travel, and telescopic shock absorbers instead of the older lever arm design and also included more substantial front and rear bumpers with over-riders. It is powered by the Jaguar XK engine producing 190 bhp when it left the factory. Only 839 right hand drive FHC were produced the majority of XK140's were made left hand drive for export making it quite a rare car. This beautiful XK140 with its sleek lines and styling, finished in white complemented with the red interior and the 3442cc DOHC straight 6 engine truly is an iconic 50's sports car. It has had one owner from new and has been subject to an extensive restoration including chassis, engine, body work and bright work, which began in 2004 and was completed in 2008, comes with file full of photographs showing the restoration process. The car has been regularly used, giving it some real character and patina to the interior.
