An elaborately crafted female attendant figure dressed in a dark over-dress with blue buttons, a dark blue dress with light blue cuffs cuffs, and creme coloured shoes. The attendant also sports an elaborate coiffure and carries a stringed instrument. During the Ming Dynasty the Chinese art industry flourished and the production of ceramic and porcelain pieces increased exponentially. Figures of this type were particularly popular during the Ming artistic revival which placed great importance on depicting aspects of Chinese political and social life including warriors, servants and ladies of high status. Good condition.Size: L:230mm / W:90mm ; 455g; Provenance: Important estate collection from Oxfordshire; formed in the 1970s-2000.

CA. 200 AD. Western Asiatic. Beautiful cream alabaster figurine of a standing male. The figure, who wears a loose tunic, holds his hands by his side, and appears to be barefoot. He sports a carefully-defined chin-strap beard and neatly-kept hair. The identity of the individual is unclear but it is likely that such an intricate item reflects religious beliefs. Excellent condition.Size: L:230mm / W:70mm ; 1.2kg; Provenance: Property of a London gallery, previously in old British collection formed in the 1980s.

The model is in Near Mint condition with a tiny mark to the passenger wing. The model is presented within Good overall illustrated yellow and blue box carded picture box that has some taping to one flap, some creasing and general storage wear. The model does not contain the Corgi collector leaflet. A lovely model in a displayable box.
