Lot 1012

1997 BMW E36 2.5l Auto - Black on black - Odometer reading 211,000 miles, MOTd until September 2022 - Attractive additions such as Alpina speakers, sunroof specd and new Avon tyres 1000 miles ago Taking over from the E30 was no easy task for BMW as its 3rd generation of 3-series had huge expectations in the popular executive car market. As a result of the E30s popularity the same chassis platform was used alongside handling upgrades through a multilink rear suspension system which dramatically improved driving response. Furthermore, the shape was sculpted to facilitate better aerodynamic traction to the road giving the car sportier lines and a more squatted stance. The E36s have become sought after in recent years. Our E36 sports an attractive colour combination of black on black. Over its years, the car has undergone some sensible upgrades such as sportier wing mirrors (car comes with original), a modern stereo system (again, comes with original) with Alpina speakers and recently a new set of Avon tyres. There are some areas of the body work that could do with some attention such as the drivers side rear wheel arch. The interior too needs some TLC as the roof needs a new lining. While this particular example isnt perfect, the current vendor has invested in making the vehicle mechanically sound with only some aesthetic touch ups needed to take this E36 to the next level. This very usable cruiser is now entering classic territory and offers a great, cheap opportunity to pick up an iconic executive car of the nighties. To satisfy your knowledge of the vehicles condition please come down to our viewing days as followed:Saturday 18th June: 10am-2pmMonday 20th June: 9pm-5pm Tuesday 21st June from 9am- Our buyers premium on all cars, motorbikes and scooters is 10% + VAT. - We encourage any interested parties to inspect the vehicle on our viewing days and prior to sale on Tuesday 22nd to satisfy themselves on the car's condition, please check our buying terms and conditions for cars and bikes available online or via email. - Transportation options may be available, please contact us for a quote.Condition Report: Car mechanically sounds good - seems to start up without hesitation and idles smoothly. As seen in the photographs, the car needs cosmetic work. Body has a few rust patches that have been treated with a rust film (see images) and the car is without a headlining. It has also Alpina badges on front, back and steering wheel that are not stock but does come with a set of original parts (see images).
