The company deployed ticker tape telegraph machines in various establishments such as offices, gentlemen's clubs, and banks, ensuring a continuous flow of commercial information. In 1876, Extel expanded its services to include a parliamentary service, followed by a general news service in 1879 and a legal service in 1891. The company's remarkable success led to the opening of ten branches outside London by 1906. Continuing its growth and enhancement, Extel achieved greater efficiency and introduced a faster financial service in 1907. By 1913, the company had extended its reach to operate a worldwide news service, with a dedicated sports service added in the 1930s. Throughout its history, Extel, a name widely adopted for the company in the 1950s, evolved into a prominent news agency, delivering financial information and associated services, solidifying its position as a leading player in the industry.
