Some component parts of a 5" live steam locomotive. The locomotive is a model of a Martley designed London, Chatham & Dover Railway 2-4-0 tender locomotive, `Asia`, built by Sharp Stewart in 1873. The Lot includes plans produced by the designer of the model, Les Saxby, A.J.Reeves & Co (B.ham) Ltd and photographs of the original locomotive. The components include the main frames with wheels and crank axle, also tender frames, wheels and body, and a collection of smaller parts including copper and brass items. Also included in the lot are the main frames and wheels of a smaller scale – 3.5h ? – 0-6-0T locomotive `Speedy`, based on the BR WR 15xx class. Plans are again included. Main components and most of the parts are VGC. Both worthy projects.

A scarce Marx tinplate police car Unusual coupe design, with light green body and cream hood. White rubber wheels and tyres, black metal hub inserts and black running boards and front bumper, possibly a replacement. At 8” in length the model is in c1:18 scale. “Police” markings in yellow print atop each half of the bonnet and at the base of the boot, “Police Patrol” on the doors. Reg`n LMC 201. Rudimentary interior. Working friction drive. Believed c1935. GC for age, some rusting, needs cleaning. See illustration

The model is painted in `Highland` dark green and fitted with the correct deep dished 5 spoked anthracite alloy wheels. Plus a 2005 Ford GT retro supercar. In red with white racing stripes. An impressive 1:8 scale Rolls-Royce by Pocher. A fine factory assembled die-cast model of a 1934 Phantom II Cabriolet, built to the order of the Sultan of Brunei. The 4-door body is finished in orange, with silver bonnet, wings and the two spare wheel covers. Registration number A-K 75. The model has a detailed interior with 4 leather covered seats and a cloth hood in the lowered position. Auxiliary lights are mounted each side of the windscreen, and four spot-lights to the front of the vehicle, below the headlights. The model is contained within a clear plastic wooden framed display case, exterior dimensions: 78cm length x 39cm width x 28cm height. VGC. See illustration.
A fine 1:8 scale Mercedes-Benz 500K Roadster by Pocher. A detailed factory assembled die-cast model of this classic 1930s sports tourer. Registration number 500K-AK. The two-door body is finished in black, with detailed interior, leather seats and door linings. The car is equipped with a cloth hood in the lowered position. Auxiliary lights are mounted each side of the windscreen. An additional driving light is located between the headlights, with two horns below. The model is contained within a clear plastic wooden framed display case, exterior dimensions: 77cm length x 36cm width x 31cm height. VGC, but one wheel requires re-locating. See illustration.

Finished in red with white high-lighting, silver bumpers and black mud guards. The cab features opening doors, 3 windscreen wipers, door mirrors, with detailed instrumentation and tan & black seats. The truck has twin headlights, left-hand drive, detailed fifth-wheel coupling, exhaust system, fuel tank and mud-flaps. Registration number AJC123.
