A 19th century French gilt brass mantel clock, the 8-day movement striking on a bell, to a circular enamelled dial inscribed "Hry Marc, Paris", the case surmounted by a model of Frederick the Great, the dial flanked by a pair of French porcelain plaques, 18.5in (47cm), 16in (40.8cm) w. Cracks to enamel dial, one plaque cracked.

AYA A 20-bore "Best Quality Box lock model ejector gun, no. 564885 27-inch chopper-lump barrels with 2 3/4 -inch chambers, about 1/2 and full choke borings, the scroll backed frame with scroll engraving and retaining all of its original hardening colour, 13-inch well figured stock, Spanish nitro proof 5lb. 6oz. The gun appears almost unused and retains all of its original hardening colour.
P. Beretta A fine 12-bore SO6EELL model single trigger sidelock ejector over and under gun, no. C15593B 29 1/2 -inch monoblobllbllblock barrels with 3-inch chambers, about 1/4 and 1/2 choke borings, machined ventilated rib, mid extensions, the frame, locks and top-lever with fine acanthus scroll engraving against a stippled ground, the left lock with a scene of flighting duck, the right locks with a scene of flighting geese, the action base with a scene of a pheasant against a woodland scene, the trigger plate signed Ferruglio, selective single trigger, rolled edge trigger guard, 1403-Apr #NAME? "highly figured stock with pistol grip, Italian nitro proof, in its makers lightweight leather case 7lb. 15oz. The gun is of recent manufacture and appears almost unused.
P. Beretta A 28-bore Ducks Unlimited model 687 single-trigger over and under ejector gun, no. F87649B 26 1/2 -inch monoblock barrels with 2 3/4 -inch chambers, interchangeable choke tubes, machined ventilated rib, the frame and dummy sideplates with gamescenes and scroll decoration, selective single trigger, 14 1/2 -inch ch h h well figured stock with pistol grip and rubber recoil pad, Italian nitro proof, in its makers case 6lb. 5oz. The gun appears little used.

(d.j. frayed and torn with some loss, mainly to head and foot of spine), slim folio. The first Orlando book. Kathleen Hale used her own real cat Orlando as the model for the central character and based this particular story on her own camping holidays. (1)
