A 1968/69 restored and polished Strand PATT 23N MK2 studio lamp converted to use standard Edison bulbs.It was originally designed in Covent Garden, London at the Strand headquarters in the 1950s. This light was used on the set of Channel 4’s ‘Draw it’ game show, hosted by Mel Gledroyc. The light sits upon a 1950’S Paillard Bolex Tripod H. This model, constructed entirely of aluminium, was introduced in 1959. The first head supplied with this tripod included a "plug-on" style platform. This version weighs approximately 8 lbs. and 6 ounces, with an extended height of 61" or 37" when retracted.
Two 1950's Chinese, hard-stone/jadeite carved galleons on hardwood stands, the larger model composed out of sections of yellow jadeite with the sail marked with four character marks, (36.5 x 38 cm), the smaller model composed out of sections of green jadeite and with the sail marked with four character marks, (24 x 26 cm) (2).
