A selection of ceramics to include a 1940s Clarice Cliff wall-mounting pottery cornucopia, a fine quality 19th century continental blue-and-white model porcelain of a cow and an early 19th century Derby teacup and saucer hand-decorated with a scene of a large country house before water and with painted marks to underside, (6)Condition Report: The cup is noted to have quite a lot of the gilding away and rubbed on the inside of the lip, also on the outside at the top also the gilt is rubbed. The gilt leaves on the exterior of the handle look to be generally good order and the handle does not look to have had any restoration and no chips or cracks are evident. The vignette on the cup looks good and the Auctioneer notes that it is a nice 'touch' that the painted, beaded edge around the vignette has been skilfully shadowed as to portray a 3-D effect. Some scratches noted under a loupe commensurate with usage and age. The underside turns up well with the Derby mark clearly painted. There is some brown speckling and further scratches to the bottom of the cup, otherwise in good order. The companion saucer is similarly decorated and may well possibly have had some restoration (done well). Upon close inspection it can be seen where the interior border has been re-painted, there are some scratches to the central circular vignette. Under a loupe there is some minor pitting and a 'gravitational' drip showing against the light. The underside is a little discoloured commensurate with age and usage.
