Scratch built brass model of an 1861 Gatling Gun with rotating barrels, hinged cover revealing mechanism, on metal bound wooden spoked wheels and rectangular base L47cm H22cmCondition Report:It is a working model to show how the action works, but will of course not fire as the barrels are solid. The crank revolves the rear half of six barrels which rotate on a tapered flange moving forwards and backwards with a clicking sound.

A CHINESE SANCAI GLAZED POTTERY MODEL OF A HORSE AND FEMALE RIDER, TL TESTED, TANG DYNASTY (AD 618-907). Modelled seated astride the horse, wearing an amber glazed robe, the horse glazed overall in green, on rectangular base. With Oxford Authentication Ltd Thermoluminescence Analysis Report, Sample No: C200b3: it was estimated that the date of the last firing was between 900-1500 years ago, consistent with the period of manufacture, certificate dated 19 October 2000. 30.5cm long x 37.5cm high. Provenance: Property of a Lancashire family. The horse's ears are restored, the legs have been cracked through and restored, the rectangular base may also have been cracked and restored, there is extensive green overpainting and retouching to the green glaze throughout, although it is particularly evident to the front and rear of the horse (including tail) and to the rider. This may conceal further restoration around the neck of the horse and through the rider's waist. With drilled testing holes to reverse of her head, to her right foot and to the underside of the horse, also apparently to the left side of stomach. Typical flaking to glaze and minor chipping.
A CHINESE SANCAI GLAZED POTTERY MODEL OF A HORSE AND RIDER, TL TESTED, TANG DYNASTY (AD 618-907). Modelled standing foursquare with the rider astride wearing a straw glazed jacket and green robe, on an amber glazed horse, on rectangular base. With a City University of Hong Kong Report on Thermoluminescence Authenticity Test, estimated that it was last fired over 1200 years ago, the result being consistent with the claimed period of manufacture, dated 16 March 2000. 35 cm long x 38.5cm high. Provenance: Property of a Lancashire family. Testing drill hole to reverse of rider's head and bottom right of horse's mouth. With extensive overpainting to glazes, the majority of the surface has been overpainted. Very minor glaze chipping and some losses. There is restoration to the horse's hears and tail and it is likely to have also been cracked and restored through legs, the rider appears to have been cracked and restored through neck. Due to the extent of overpainting and consolidation to surface glazes it is hard to ascertain the extent of restoration.
TWO CHINESE CARVED WALNUTS, A CINNABAR LACQUER BOX AND COVER, AN INKSTONE AND WOODEN CASE AND A CARVED JADE MODEL OF A FROG. The walnut shells densely carved with figures, on wooden stands, early 20th century, the quatrefoil cinnabar lacquer box carved with figures before terracing and willow, 15cm wide, a Duan inkstone carved with a carp amongst waves, incised fb at side, within wooden pebble-shaped case and cover, 17.5cm long and the mottled jade pierced with a central aperture, 4.8cm long (5)One of the carved walnuts with glued repair to base, both of the corresponding small wooden stand with restuck chip to rim. Cinnabar lacquer box in good order. The inkstone with minor surface scratching, the wooden case with old restuck repair to base, some scratching to surface. The frog with two chips to underside at feet.

Centre tender driving wheels with require refixing otherwise Excellent Plus in original box. The prototype was built in 1941 and scrapped in 1958.
