London & North Eastern Railway complimentary Silver Link No. 2509 Model Paperweight. Still in its original box and complete with a small printed card that reads: "Coronation Year Cruises Of The Northern Belle, With The Compliments Of The London And North Eastern Railway". The model, on plinth, measures approximately 5½" in length and has the LNER 'winking eye' motif at each end. One side bears the inscription 'Locomotive Of The Silver Jubilee', the other side 'Streamline Engine Silver Link'. Excellent condition with just minimal rubbing to the box and loco. Best example we have ever seen.
KANE BOB: (1915-1998) American Comic Book Artist, creator of the superhero Batman. Signed 8 x 10 photograph of Kane seated in a half length pose. On the table before him appears a copy of his book Batman and Me and a model figure of the caped crusader. Signed ('Bats Wishes, Bob Kane') in black ink to a light area of the image. VG
