A well-engineered living steam model of a stationary mill engine having a single double-acting cylinder driving a 3 1/2" diameter flywheel, the crankshaft in turn driving a boiler water replenishing pump with a nipple for the connection of a suction pipe. The crankshaft also has a drive-pulley for a double-ball governor (non functional). The brass boiler has a weighted safety valve, a water level sight-glass and a whistle. The cylinder exhausts into a blast-pipe in the chimney base but sadly the chimney has not been found. There appear to be no signs of a maker's name apart from to the under-side of the triple wick burner which is stamped: "NORWAY NORVEGE 510". The boiler is 7" long and 3 1/8" diameter, whilst the wooden base is 11 1/2" x 10" and the engine is 9 1/4" high to the top of the whistle.
