A model 1874 French Gras single shot bolt action military rifle chambered for the 11mm x 59R cartridge. Part of the woodwork is damaged and its overall condition is poor. This is deemed an obsolete calibre by the Home Office and therefore classed as an antique which can be possessed without licence solely as a curio or ornament
A 21”smooth bore barrelled percussion Model P58 carbine made at Enfield for te Bengal Native Cavalry. The lock is marked Enfield 1864.67 and bear the reigning monarchs initials VR with Crown above. It is believed that the “.67”indicates when it was subsequently smooth bored. The barrel bears the normal military inspection and proof markswhilst the stock bears further military stamps. It is fitted with a sliding captive belt ring fitted on the opposite side to the lock and a swivel rammer. It is in overall good condition

A .44" Remington calibre Model 1875 revolver, Remington entered into a contract with an initial order for 10,000 specimens of this revolver with the Egyptian government, the Egyptian contract guns were inspected like U.S. military arm and carried a * mark on the left side of the barrel, forward of the frame and an R sub-inspectors mark on the cylinder and the frame between the cylinder and the barrel, this order was never completed when Egypt failed to pay for a previous order for Remington Rolling Block rifles so it ended prematurely and those made were apparently sold on the open market, as a result Egyptian contract marked revolvers are relatively scarce and command higher than normal prices, this specimen bears the * and R in the above defined positions; it bears the serial number 2813 under its grips, the calibre is defined as obsolete by the Home Office and benefits from being regarded as an antique under section 58 (2) of the Firearms Act 1968, it can therefore be purchased without a licence when kept as a curio or ornament; it comes with a modern gun belt
A .31” calibre Model 1853 'Pocket Colt' fitted with a 6” barrelmade at the London factory bearing the serial number 661 on all marked components. The top strap is marked 'AddressCol Colt London' 6”It bears London Proof marks. Colt openeda factory on the Thames embankment in Pimlico which heleased in 1851 and by 1853 he was starting to retail revolversmade at this site. He opened the factory hoping to gainmajor orders from the Ordnance Board but although two Navy orders was obtained in 1854, followed by a further two orders for the British Army in 1855 he did not achieve his aim and in 1856 the factory was starting to be dismantled and closed in 1857. There is some loss of definition on the rolled scene on the cylinder otherwise it is in overall goodcondition
A Tri-Ang 'Nellie' model steam train and tender designed by Rowland Emett, the polychrome painted pine body with lithograph makers name and title, 'Far Tottering and Oyster Creek Rly, des by Emett of Punch', the steam train 49cm H x 60cm L. Rowland Emett (also spelt Roland Emmett) (1906-1990), was a cartoonist working in advertising. In the 1940's and 50's he published regularly in Punch and was known, when published elsewhere, as 'Emett of Punch'. He is known for his Kinetic sculptures and cartoons of trains. His most famous train was 'Nellie', as seen here, and was made into a copper and mahogany kinetic sculpture at the Festival of Britain in 1951.
