A unique live steam working model of an early Victorian locomotive. A 3.5" gauge 0-4-0 locomotive complete with a four wheeled tender, painted in maroon livery with black smoke box and frames, named ‘Nelson’s Rocket’. A finely engineered model fitted with two inclined cylinders, safety valve, water gauge, taps, steel and brass rods and pipes. Tender fitted with brakes on all four wheels. A 6 shot .44” CF “Smith & Wesson 3rd Model Russian” SA revolver, by Ludwig Loewe Co of Berlin, number 46618, the 6½” barrel with Cyrillic Ludwig Loewe markings, serial number, and Russian eagle on the top flat, the frame dated 1874, with plain walnut grips and lanyard ring. WO & GC (the action requires slight attention, slightly worn and professionally reblacked overall). After the Smith & Wesson Russian contract terminated Ludwig Loewe & Co took over, producing exact copies of the S&W Model 3 Russian revolver. Plate 15
