A Märklin painted cast iron model field gun circa 1916-18, together with a pair of field binoculars, a quantity of horse brasses and a selection of tribal artefacts including carved wooden antelope heads, hippopotamus, crocodiles, carved antelope, two tribal axes and an ice axe CONDITION REPORTS Concentrating on the Märklin field gun - suspect some of the firing mechanism is missing, various signs of rust, wear to the paintwork. Wheels are wobbly. Various general signs of wear and tear and obviously requires attention as possibly not all complete - see images for further details. American Model 1840 Ames Musician's Sword 32 1/4 inch single edged straight blade with central fuller. The forte marked 'Ames MFG Co Chicopee Mass'. The reverse 'N J US'. Blade now nickel plated with some surface lifting. Nickel plated double shell guard, D shape knuckle bow, urn pommel and ribbed grip.
French Guards Infantry Sabre Model AN XII 27 1/2 inch single edged slightly curved blade with large fuller. Back edge with maker details. Forte with inspection stamps. Brass D shape knuckle bow with downswept quillon. Brass ferrule and large pommel. Leather covered grip with copper twist wire binding. Contained in its leather scabbard with brass mounts. Throat mount loose.
