A Märklin painted cast iron model field gun circa 1916-18, together with a pair of field binoculars, a quantity of horse brasses and a selection of tribal artefacts including carved wooden antelope heads, hippopotamus, crocodiles, carved antelope, two tribal axes and an ice axe CONDITION REPORTS Concentrating on the Märklin field gun - suspect some of the firing mechanism is missing, various signs of rust, wear to the paintwork. Wheels are wobbly. Various general signs of wear and tear and obviously requires attention as possibly not all complete - see images for further details. A set of three First World War medals comprising the 1914-1915 Star inscribed to "1875 Pte F Frost N.Staff Regiment", the 1914-1918 Medal and The Victory Medal, both medals inscribed to "1875 Sgt S J T F Frost Borth Staff Regiemnt", together with a 1939-1945 Defence Medal and a Queen Mary Christmas tin containing various badges etc, together with a compass inscibed "Anglo Swiss Associated London V64476 1915" and a collection of associated ephemera and photographs to include a photograph "After the Assault on the Sambre Canal at St Quentin" CONDITION REPORTS See images for further details of what is in the lot. Medals all with various scratches, scuffs and marks. The ribbons are worn and discoloured. The Defence medal is un-named. Great War medal marked "Sgt SJT.F. Frost. N. American Model 1840 Ames Musician's Sword 32 1/4 inch single edged straight blade with central fuller. The forte marked 'Ames MFG Co Chicopee Mass'. The reverse 'N J US'. Blade now nickel plated with some surface lifting. Nickel plated double shell guard, D shape knuckle bow, urn pommel and ribbed grip.
French Guards Infantry Sabre Model AN XII 27 1/2 inch single edged slightly curved blade with large fuller. Back edge with maker details. Forte with inspection stamps. Brass D shape knuckle bow with downswept quillon. Brass ferrule and large pommel. Leather covered grip with copper twist wire binding. Contained in its leather scabbard with brass mounts. Throat mount loose.
Pre WW2 BSA Air Rifle .177 fixed barrel with rear hinged loading gate. Under barrel loading lever. Rear tubular spring housing marked 'The BSA Air Rifle (Improved Model D)'. Serial number 'N36392'. Steel trigger guard. Polished pistol grip butt stamped with the BSA trade mark. Steel butt plate.
