Lehmann, Germany: An Pol 681 lithographed tinplate tri-wheeled vehicle, c.1910, with lithograph transfers (missing umbrella canopy). NB This model was a variation on "The New Century Cycle", commemorating the American explorer Robert E. Peary's reaching the North Pole on the 6th April, 1909, and put the two figures in woollen coats with the umbrella canopy of the topical map of the North Pole.

§ John Piper, OM, CH (British, 1903-1992) Abbeville, St Wolfrun signed lower right "John Piper" in pencil and numbered 35/70 lithograph printed in colours, on wove, printed at Kelpra Studio, published by Marlborough Fine Art 84 x 64cm (33 x 25in) John Piper was a painter of architecture, landscape and abstract compositions, a designer for the theatre and of stained-glass windows and a writer on the arts. At first Piper painted mainly landscapes, but after a visit to Paris in 1933, he turned to abstraction. Condition appears fine.

§ Marino Marini (Italian, 1901-1980) Spartaco signed lower right "Marino" and numbered "HC XIII/XXV lithograph 50 x 66cm (20 x 26in) Provenance: From the collection of Peter Inskip, Trinity House, Cardington, Bedfordshire. An Italian painter, sculptor, Lithographer and etcher who held several Professorships at art schools in Milan, and received the 1952 City of Venice prize for his sculpture. Under plexiglass and with some browning around the edges. Image is good.
Fernando Vilchis (Mexican, b.1932) Formas signed lower right "F Vilchis '64" and numbered 1/15 lithograph 47 x 31cm (18 x 12in) The Mexican artist Fernando Vilchis is highly sought after and his paintings and prints are in private collections and public galleries in Mexico and the United States. His highly coloured abstracts were sometimes done in oil and sand on masonite - the present lithograph dates from the early 1960s. Watermark can be seen on the paper - condition appears fine.
Arthur Merric Boyd (Australian, 1862-1940) Shoalhaven Quarter I-IV, 1988 numbered and inscribed with title in pencil, signed lower right under the print lithograph, edition of 77 (4) 81 x 63cm (32 x 25in) The present lithographs depict the Shoalhaven River valley, in south-eastern New South Wales. The Shoalhaven landscape was the inspiration for many of Boyd’s paintings. The area was the basis for one of Boyd's most well-known works, a tapestry commission by the Parliament House Art Collection, Australia, in 1984. The glass on one has been cracked to the bottom left corner
Sonia Woolf (British, 20th Century) Illustrations from Thomas De Quincy's 'Confessions of an English Opium Eater', 1930, together with a box of correspondence all signed "Sonia Woolf" and dated '27, '29 and ' 31 in pencil underneath the print lithograph (4) 51 x 18cm (20 x 7in) Exhibited: Exhibited at the Foyle Art Gallery, London, November 1930, in an exhibition of original drawings made to illustrate books published by John Lane The Bodley Head, during the Autumn of 1930. Literature: ‘The Confessions of an English Opium-Eater’ by Thomas De Quincey, pub. by John Lane The Bodley Head, 1930. Woolf studied at the Manchester Municipal School of Art from 1926. The accompanying correspondence includes that from fans of her work, a few from Art Agencies discussing the suitability of her work, a letter from The Collector’s Gallery, Manchester, enquiring after her work, and a few sheets of poetry. One framed and three unframed. All have some wear and some fading.
