1930 WORLD CUP Uruguay v Peru, extremely rare paper lithograph match poster designed by Guillermo Laborde, the creator of the official poster, 100 cm x 70cm for the inauguration of the Centenary Stadium, Montevideo, played on 18 July 1930. The stadium was built as the main host stadium for the 1930 World Cup, primarily to host the first ever World Cup Final, but also to commemorate the centennial of Uruguay`s first constitution. The stadium hosted every team in the competition, in total ten matches were played there during the Finals. Uruguay won the match 1-0 with the winning goal coming from Hector Castro who was nicknamed "El Mancos" (The one-armed), he accidentally amputated his right forearm while using an electric saw at the age of 13. Only a couple of specimens are known to exist, not many survived as they were pasted to advertising boards throughout the City of Montevideo during July 1930 to promote the first World Cup. Good
