Above the battle flies a bi-plane and a Zeppelin. Over the picture is the title, below two columns of text starting “At mid-day after a seven day battle, our army over-ran the strongly fortified forward positions at Lvov, 16-20 versts from the town.” (A verst is 1.066 km) Artist’s name at bottom left. VGC. Slight crease at right side of the poster. Also a modern poster from the cockpit of an American blimp.

An interesting lithographic print mounted, framed and glazed (75cm x 45cm), from a viewpoint on board a French Dirigible “Capitaine Ferber” during the Spring Review of 1912. To the right of the picture is the gondola, with an aeronaut in the foreground. A French Officer is watching the review below through a pair of binoculars while the propeller is spinning behind him. Nearby are 3 aeroplanes and another airship, while below is a vast review ground with the parading units stretching into the distance. VGC.
