THE CHANGING COMPANIONS, COMIC METAMORPHOSIS, c.mid 19th century, 12 hand coloured lithographed figures laid on wood and cut into four triangular pieces, each pair of figures is laid on wood with a different colour verso, a rare Victorian game in which the pieces can be mixed up to provide different amusing characters, complete with all 48 pieces, one piece is missing its part lithograph, others have old repairs and one is in two pieces, some damage, marking, wear and minor losses to lithographs and wooden pieces, contained in a cloth covered box with removable wooden lid which has a pictorial paper label with some marking and wear, box complete except missing one of the slots that hold the lid and also has other damage, marking and wear
