§ Merlyn Evans (Welsh, 1910-1973) Untitled Abstract from the Rothko Portfolio artist's proof numbered 11/15 and signed lower right "Evans '73" colour lithograph 88 x 63cm (34 x 25in) The present abstract print formed part of the 13 strong artists' portfolio dedicated to celebrating the work and life of Mark Rothko (American, 1903-1970). Condition appears fine. Black frame has chips.
§ Laurence Stephen Lowry, RBA, RA (British, 1887-1976) Fever Van signed lower right in pen "L S Lowry" and with the Fine Art Trade Guild blind stamp offset lithograph 45 x 53cm (18 x 21in) The fever van was the colloquial term in the north of England for the ambulance that transported patients with infectious diseases, usually scarlet fever or diphtheria, to the local isolation or infectious diseases hospital. These vehicles were in existence throughout the country from around 1910 to the 1950s and had various nicknames. Condition: In a good condition, there are no visible faults. Margins seem clean and there are no signs of any offset stains from the mount. Not examined out of frame.

Signed lower right in pencil. Some glue stains under mount. Stuck down. Offset staining under the current mount - please refer to photos. From an unnumbered edition of 750 which was not stamped.
