A Victorian white metal mounted double-ended scent bottle, with red cut glass body, of faceted cylindrical form, the two metal covers with embossed foliate scrolling detail, 12.5cm long, with a further Victorian silver topped scent bottle, probably Dowler & Sons, Birmingham 1900, with blue cut glass body, the hinged cover with floral details, 8cm high (2) (at fault)
An early Victorian oak fitted silver chest and contents, some being original to the chest and others probably being associated and in silver plate, as detailed; a silver four-piece tea and coffee service comprising teapot, coffee pot, twin handled sugar and cream, each with acanthus leaf and flower engraved decoration, having gilt-washed interiors, 75oz, maker James Walter Marshall, Edinburgh 1850, coffee pot h.27cm; together with a silver plated large spirit kettle on stand, silver plated and engraved salad bowl stand, h.35cm, a large salver, dia.36cm, card waiter, 19cm; the centre section being fully-fitted and comprising pair of silver plated gilt-washed and cut glass table salts of good size, pair of silver salt spoons, sugar tongs, five silver handled table knives, tray, with silver Queens Pattern flatware comprising nine tablespoons, one table fork, six dessert forks, six egg-spoons, and two dessert spoons, all by James & Walter Marshall, Edinburgh circa 1850; and six Roberts & Belk silver dessert spoons; and a small quantity of plated flatware (weighable silver flatware gross 53oz), the fully fitted and annotated chest bearing original makers label for James & Walter Marshall, Jewellers of 41 George Street, Edinburgh, and having iron strap end carry handles, chest w.67cm.Chest – shrinkage split to top, some wear to metal but complete, lock works, lid closes but not fully unless pushed down.Silver cutlery – poor to good, very mixed condition.Glass salts – both very good.Large salver – all extremities worn, copper showing through, otherwise good.Card waiter - all extremities worn, copper showing through, otherwise good.Stand – base with old repair to one foot, otherwise good.Kettle and stand – good.Teapot – large dent to side, smaller dents to shoulder.Sugar – good.Cream jug – with two dents to base and several smaller dents to underside.Box interior all original but grubby.
A Chopard 18ct white gold Happy Spirit ring with matching pair of earrings, the ring topped with free-moving white gold circular section under glass stamped 'Chopard', containing single brilliant cut diamond weighing approx 0.10 carats, the underside stamped 'Chopard 750' and numbered 3119254 82/5405-20, the edge engraved 'Happy Spirit', size N+, the matching earrings being 17mm, stamped Chopard and numbered 845405 3159482
A late 19th century French blue glass and gilt brass mounted perfume casket, of oval form, the top inset with a finely painted vignette of an Alpine river landscape scene, all within a cut and engraved brass surround, opening to reveal two gilded clear glass bottles, the whole raised on further worked brass feet, with key, w.15.5cm. Missing loop handles which would originally have been to either side.Stands well.Hinge good.All external brass tarnished but consistent in colour.Cut brass is complete.Painted scene excellent.All glass good.Interior excellent and bright.With key.A very good example.
