An unusual 19th century French rosewood, pewter, brass, mother of pearl and ivory inlaid workbox, the hinged lid revealing various compartments, pads, five mother of pearl topped cotton reel holders and a cut glass scent bottle with bombé sides and four paw brass feet, foliate scroll decoration throughout, height 11.5cm, width 28cm, depth 20cm. CONDITION REPORT There is a small area of damage front right of the lid where the brass is lifting and some of the wood has split leaving an unsightly hole, otherwise some lifting throughout and some small areas of losses, conducive with age.
