AN 18/19TH CENTURY CHINESE REVERSE GLASS PAINTING OF TWO FEMALE MUSICIANS IN BLACK AND GILT LACQUER FRAME. Depicting a flautist and a lady playing percussion in wooded landscape, the frame gilt with butterflies and leafy branches, 32cm x 47cm overall With some losses to the painted blue sky, extending into one of the figures, with some wear to frame and minor chipping to edges, further smaller areas of wear, some discolouration around silvering to tree, a small bubble air inclusion to glass at top right, reverse of frame with two small rectangular sections which have been cut out, one of which has been restuck.
