Three boxes of miscellaneous china and glassware to include large 19th century meat plate, Victorian blue & white transfer decorated jug, cut glass decanter and stopper, brass table lamp etc Condition Report / Extra Information Chinese bowl - diameter 19cm, small hairline crack and rim chips.
19th century AD. A cut glass perfume bottle with globular body with hallmarked silver hinged lid, decorated with scrolls. 208 grams, 10cm (4"). Ex Gaunt collection; acquired by the owner's grandfather in the United Kingdom in the 1920s. . Fair condition; lacking internal stopper and dent to silver top.
Spanish Armada Interest: two wooden brackets; and two 'glass' pebbles, accompanied by an old handwritten note inscribed 'received from Mrs Wright nee Macbeth in 1916. From pieces of wood part of one of the ships of the Spanish Armada wrecked in the Orkneys, cut from timbers dredged up by her father, Mr Macbeth, whose property is in on the coast - also two semi transparent stones, which are tolerably common on the same island'.
A collection of various drinking glasses to include crystal tumblers, various other tumblers, wines, champagnes, liqueur glasses, a set of nine cut glass finger bowls, a pair of cylindrical cut glass liqueur decanters and stoppers and a gilt decorated and painted two-handled tray and CONDITION REPORTS Not a suite but a collection of various glasses. One set of varying ages. The majority are mid to late 20th Century. The set of six similar cut glass tumblers are approx 10 cm high. All items have general wear and tear conducive with age and use to include some cloudiness, surface scratches, etc. Some have odd chips and cracks. Advise viewing in person.
