Jugendstil table clock, WMF. Germany, ca. 1905.Silver-plated tin-plated metal and glass.Table clock by the German manufacturer WMF (Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik) in which we see the main characteristics of the Jugendstil of Central Europe, the geometric and fluid forms, with the use of bronzes and metallic materials (in this case silvered metal) which are not simple ornaments but essential parts of the structure. The central front part has two columns of cut glass that support the Arabic numeral dial, which is plated with this copper. In working order. Marks on the back of the base.Provenance: Private Spanish collection, formed between 1970 and 2010. Needs cleaning. Good condition. Normal wear and tear due to use and the passing of time.Measurements: 43 x 23 x 7,5 cm .
