Prince Albert', VR beneath two crowns and Feby. 10 1840 and a monogram WEH, a later presentation beneath, 26cm (10 1/4in) long, 495g (15.9 oz) weighableQueen Victoria and Prince Albert were married on 10th February 1840 in the Chapel Royal of St James's Palace.William Hawes (1785-1846) was a musician and composer. He was the Master of the Children of the Chapel Royal and musical director of the Lyceum Theatre: bringing several notable works to the public's attention. The later inscription reads 'Presented to Mrs J. B. Morison on occasion Launch of S. D. "Nebula", Inverness 7th Sept. 1918'.The naval drifter Nebula was a steel screw steamer built for the Royal Navy in 1918 by Rose Street Foundry & Engineering Co. Ltd. of Inverness. A GEORGE II SILVER WARWICK CRUET, by John Delmester, London 1762 and 1765, of characteristic form with central carrying handle, the caster of baluster form, the two cut-glass oil bottles with plated tops, raised on shell-form feet and with applied crested cartouche. 23.5cm high, 46.6 troy ouncesCONDITION REPORTThe casters are all marked for Delmester. The casters are struck to both the underside of the base and the flange of the covers. No evidence of erasure to the caters. Surface wear throughout commensurate with age but generally in very good condition.
