S. Winkley V. D.', London 1902, 23.1toz, 14 by 23 by 18.5cm high, on a turned ebonised wooden stand, 14 by 8cm, together with an Edward VII silver mounted cut glass bowl, engraved to rim 'Presented to Major F. S. Winkley V. D. by the Non Com Officers & Privates as a mark of esteem & respect on his retirement from the command of 'E' Company, February 1905, 21st Middx V. R. C.', 24 by 11cm. (2)

A Continental silver guilloche enamel thimble, a gold and tortoiseshell piquet thimble, with case, a filigree thimble and blue cut glass needle stand with screw fitting to the base of the thimble, and a 19th century silver thimble and an unassociated pin holder which fits inside and gives the appearance of a cocktail shaker - From a private collection started in 1926 CONDITION REPORT: Guilloche enamel - Indistinct marks to the outer base rim. Enamel in good order. Collector's label to the interior '62', 22mm high. Tortoiseshell - Tortoiseshell in good order with minor scratches under magnification and one deeper scratch running down from the top. Gold decoration all present and without damage. Collector's label to the interior, '63', 19mm high. Housed in hinged red morocco leather case. Filigree - 23mm high. Collector's label stuck to the base '55'. Blue glass with chips to the top - No stopper. Thimble in good order. Housed in a hinged black morocco leather case. 'Cocktail Shaker' - Thimble engraved with initials 'AW'. Several small dents/general wear, 25mm high, collector's label stuck to the outside '20'. Needle holder in good order, 32mm high.
