A pair of silver-gilt and green guilloche enamel-mounted cut-glass scent bottles, mark of Richard Comyns for William Comyns and Sons Ltd., London, 1929, spherical bodies cut with lozenges and foliage, star-cut bases, one complete with interior glass stopper, the other lacking stopper, 10 cm. high.Good condition, some wear to gilding in places.
An Edwardian silver two-bottle inkstand by Martin & Hall, Sheffield, 1909, rectangular with slat-pierced gallery rim, spiral-twist central grip and fluted sloping sides to base, complete with two mounted cut-glass bottles with star-cut bases, 30.2 cm. long, wt. 1198 gm.Silver in good condition, a few very minor tiny chips to one bottle and a series of conchoidal fractures to front of other bottle.
A Victorian silver-mounted glass claret jug finely wheel-cut engraved with trailing honeysuckle by John Newton Mappin, London, 1886, the onion-shaped body on octagonal foot, the mount part-fluted and chased with band of anthemions around neck, chased acanthus leaves to domed cover capped by a pomegranate finial, female mask spout, 26 cm. high.Beautiful glass but four of the eight sides of foot are badly chipped and need grinding down, the estimate reflects this.

A Victorian silver-mounted cut-glass swing-handled sweet dish by Hirons & Plante, Birmingham, 1888, oval with an upward slant, sides cut with diagonal fluting below a diamond-cut band, star-cut base, 13.1 cm. long.Good condition, slight wear to maker's mark, no assay office mark (anchor) nor any sign of ever having one.
1898 Grenadier Guards Presentation Decanter Set, fine Mappin & Webb Princess Plate decanter set with engraved presentation inscription, “PRESENTED TO SERGTS MESS 3RD BATT GRENADIER GUARDS BY LIEUT E F O GASCOIGNE ON HIS LEAVING THE BATTALION JAN 1898” to the other side is engraved regimental flaming grenade badge. Six ring holder with ornate handle which is screwed into the bottom of the stand. Complete with the six cut glass bottles with stoppers, all slightly miss-matched so possible later replacements. Some small chips to the glass bottles but the stand has nice patina.

J.Ullman, a French enamelled four-glass mantel clock: the eight-day duration movement striking the hours and half-hours on a gong, with a Brocot pendulum regulation adjustment, the backplate stamped with the trademark for Japy frères à Paris along with the serial number 10363, the round gilded dial having black Roman numerals, with a surround of cut brilliants, the centre decorated with coloured floral swags and having decorative blued steel hands, the brass four-glass case with champlevé enamel decoration inset to the pillars, base and top, with gilded flying pillars to each side and surmounted by an enamelled cast urn, height 37 cms.* Biography J.
