A late 19th Century Stourbridge glass claret jug possibly Thomas Webb & Sons with a domed circular foot rising to a compressed globe and shaft flask form body with applied hollow blown hand and integral spout below spherical stopper, the whole polished intaglio cut with a peace of dove holding a laurel garland to one side with a bundle of weapons and armour to the opposing side all below classical repeat borders, unmarked, height 29.5 cm. A late 19th Century Thomas Webb & Sons water glass attributed to Dr Christopher Dresser, the folded swept foot rising to an ovoid bowl polished intaglio cut and engraved with repeat geometric patterns, together with an Edwardian hand written letter providing provenance that the glass was exhibited in 1882 by Thomas Webb & Sons at a Fine Art Exhibition in Stafford, height 12.5 cm.
