DRESSING CASE. A Victorian coromandel wood dressing case fitted with ten various silver mounted cut glass boxes & bottles, each engraved & crested. London 1869. The lift-out tray containing mother of pearl tools, the lower jewellery drawer with two further mother of pearl tools, a silver mounted button hook & a silver mounted fruit knife & fork. 31 x 22 1/2 x 20cm.
DRESSING CASE. A William IV brass bound coromandel dressing case with flush handles. The interior with silver mounted cut glass bottles & boxes by Charles Rawlings & William Summers. The upper tray with lift-out section containing mother of pearl mounted manicure tools, a cork screw, push-up pencil etc. (Some tools missing). Beneath the upper section a second lift-out tray, revealing two hidden jewellery drawers beneath the bottle section. The green velvet lined lid dropping to reveal a green leather stationery flap embossed Edwards, Manufacturer to His Majesty, 21 King Street, Bloomsbury, London (mirror in the lid missing). Shaped gold hinges & Bramah lock. 35 x 25 x 16cm.
