Of interest to poultry fanciers - two silver trophy spoons with cast chicken finial, by Elkington & Co, Birmingham 1931/35 also a plate mounted cut glass biscuit barrel, the cover inscribed `Poultry Show 1889 - presented by the Canterbury Chamber of Trade`, 17cm high, and another plate mounted cut glass biscuit barrel, 17cm high, weight of spoons 1.5ozs, (4).
A Pair of Victorian Silver Plated Table Centrepiece Stands, circa 1880, each modelled as an animated Italian greyhound on a rocky plateau flanked by two palm trees whose fronded branches support chevron and rib cut circular shallow bowls, 30cm high Cut glass bowl 1 - please note this may be a later replacement but it is in generally good order but does have numerous small chips and flakes around the dentil edge. Bowl 2 - similar to preceding, but several larger flakes and chips. Both stands are good throughout. 280113
A George V Dressing Case, maker`s mark NM, London 1912, retailed by Pittway Brothers, crushed green leather case, rectangular, with outer protective pigskin cover, opening to reveal a fitted interior with three lift-out trays containing numerous vanity utensils, including five slice cut jars/bottles and covers, pair of hair brushes, pair of clothes brushes, hand mirror, double-ended spoon, shoe horn, glove stretchers, manicure items and a curling tongs and heater box, the case (excluding the cover) 46cm wide; and A Leather and Gilt Metal Mounted Calling Card Case (2) This case displays significant original use. Some of the bottle caps are dented. Some small chips amongst the glassware. One rectangular box missing. Two vacant recesses on the mirror tray. The smallest of the lift-out trays has split at the angles and is quite scruffy, heavily worn on the green velvet surface lining material. Comb recess is empty. The largest of the glass trinket boxes has a massive chunk missing out of one angle. The hinges on the heater box are damaged. The bristles on the brushes are slightly outward pointing and very worn. Twenty-eight silver mounted items in total, leaving three steel pairs of scissors. The cover of the case is very heavily worn and damaged, and the straps have broken off. 050213
Sir Frank William Brangwyn RA, RWS, PRBA, RE, HRSA (1867-1956) Fortified Continental town Signed artist`s proof, black and white etching, 30.5cm by 38.5cm (pl) Appears to be in reasonably satisfactory condition with the exception of one or two light fox marks in the margins, most of the black and brown dots within the images are from the plate itself within a rather crudely cut washline cream card mount with a further outer plain mount under glass, the underside of the glass is rather dirty in places and the frame is slightly split in the corners and the veneer is cracked in several places (220113)
An Ebonised Striking Table Clock, inverted bell top with carrying handle, side viewing windows, 7-inch arched brass dial with silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring, matted centre with date aperture and mock pendulum with silvered plaque bearing inscription Jasp Taylor London, arch with strike/silent selection, twin fusee movement with verge escapement and striking on a bell, engraved scrolled backplate inscribed Jasper Taylor Holborn London, movement secured by brackets, 50cm high over handle 28.01.13, Case has been re-ebonised a some time, some moulding around the case have been replaced and cracking to some veneers, right hand side glass panel has broken, some chips to edges and some flaking to the ebonised surfaces in parts and new pieces of wood added, arch with silvered dial faded, movement needs cleaning, striking is functioning, striking side of the movement at the top of the front plate with one vacant hole which is directly in line with a dial foot on the dial plate which has been cut off and filed back. (The dial could have possibly been later added to the movement due to the vacant hole to the movement frontplate).
A Cranberry Flashed Glass Decanter and Stopper and Six Matching Glasses, late 19th century, the decanter of slender baluster form with tall panelled neck and ball stopper, the glasses with rounded funnel bowls on faceted panel stems and shaped circular foot, all with panels of strawberry and star cut decoration, the decanter 42cm high, the glasses 22cm high (8) One goblet with 5mm square chip to outlside of upper rim. Very minor wear. 270213

A Victorian Brass Bound Calamander Decanter Box, of domed rectangular form, with hinged loop handles and strapwork decoration, the hinged cover and twin doors opening to reveal a fitted interior with three cut glass spirit decanters, eight drinking glasses and a circular tray, the hinge signed MANOAH RHODES & SON, BRADFORD, 32cm diameter Box in good condition with only minor wear. Tray with wear and minor losses to gilding and some surface pitting. Minor wear to gilt metal fittings. Glasses possibly matched. 210213
A Lady`s Diamond Set Fob Watch, cylinder movement, enamel dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, rose cut diamond border around the aperture, with diamond set trefoil motifs to the outer edge, the reverse set with a large central rose cut diamond and similar decoration around it, total estimated diamond weight 1.50 carat approximately, measures 2.6cm by 3.4cm The watch is in relatively good order. There are two claws missing from the large rose cut diamond to the reverse of the watch. There is a hair line crack to the dial. It bears no hallmark, but is stamped `18K`, and in our opinion would test as gold. Movement not in going order, mainspring is slipping when winding watch, possibly broken mainspring. Glass is missing to the front cover. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour I/J/K, clarity SI2/I1/I2. Gross weight 18.2 grams. CR made 10th December 2012
